Goal is to have all green fairways.

North Course needs weeding.

The new Quake Machine is being tested on hole #15. They will be working on other holes a lot this summer – not sure when/what holes they will be doing

Not sure if there is relief from the work by the Quake Machine (visible by deep gashes in parallel lines filled with sand), or when/what holes they will be doing

o          Action: Grace will check to see how it is to be played

Display Case - Nancy Zimmerman

Jan Junkin – Is there some reason we do not have a 2-day guest tournament like other clubs?

o      There is no reason why we could not have a multi-day tournament. If someone would like to volunteer and run it, they would need to submit it to the Board.

MaryLou Marcus – Is there a local rule about being able to take relief from the sprinkler heads around the green?

o      No local rule exists

o      If we want it to be considered, we need to make a recommendation to GAC. All clubs will need to agree. Gloria Mossman will take this to GAC.

Susan Moss takes over end of May with suggestions.

Meet was adjourned at 1:11 PM, April 22, 2015

Rules:  Ethelwyn reported back on rules questions posed the previous week.  Coot poop is the same as mud and must be left on the ball.  No relief is available to a player if a sprinkler head is in the player’s line of flight or roll.  Ethelwyn then announced the winners of the rules quiz for December 16-31 and January 1-15.  They are Lucy Lee Crane and Jackye Mills, respectively.  The questions concerned what constitutes a provisional ball and if relief is allowed when a culvert is encountered.

Ryan Stemsrud, Golf Course General Manager, came to the meeting to answer any questions members may have concerning the golf course.  He explained that the ground crew is spraying right now which is why some areas are roped off.  He will try to mark more clearly whether or not the areas are “ground under repair” or not.  Ryan asked that players not fill divots in the rough, only in the fairways.  Ryan also explained that those persons who own their own golf cart, but did not pay the trail fee, must park outside the golf course, due to liability issues.  Questions were asked about the mowing and watering schedule.
