Child Struck by Family Car

By: Sam D.

A little girl by the name of Penny was hit by her family’s car last Monday morning on a very stormy day. They were pulling out of their driveway, but they could not see her through all the rain. The ambulance came in less than five minutes to rush her to the hospital. Sources say her older sister Melody spotted her and tried to warn her mother, but because of her extreme case of CP (Cerebral Palsy), she could not tell her and she just attempted to kick and throw a fit.

The little girl had seemed to have a little cold, and her dad thought she was inside eating breakfast, but that was not the case. The family was planning to be in Washington D.C. for that day but they missed the

flight.

Melody would’ve had an excused absence if she would’ve stayed home from school, but she insisted on going.

“Penny has some internal injuries, a badly broken leg, but she survived the surgery!”, says Mrs. V, a good family friend. She is now back at home with a bulky cast on her leg.
