Blizzcon Virtual Goodie Bag Announced!
As is typical for Blizzcon, both attendees and virtual ticket buyers will get many in-game items spread amongst all the Blizzard franchises. The virtual goodie bag for this November's Blizzcon includes many pets, mounts, portraits, and pennants, but of special interest to our listeners is the Blizzcon 2015 Card Back for Hearthstone! Featuring a Hearthstone logo in a stone motif breaking through a cracked blue crystal background, this card back will be given to all Blizzcon attendees and purchasers of the virtual ticket.

Abios Grand Tournament
After a flurry of tournament qualifiers for the Road to Blizzcon last week, this weekend saw a lull in Hearthstone tournament activity, with only the the Abios Grand Tournament to break the silence in esports.
This tournament concluded early Monday morning for North America viewers, with a $5000 prize pool being split between $500 for Firebat and StanCifka in 3rd/4th places, $1500 to Rdu and $2500 to Orange from Sweden. The tournament consisted of an invite-only list of players and is one of the last major tournaments before the final regional tournaments that will determine the players advancing to the World Championships at Blizzcon. This also marks the third major tournament win for Archon player Orange after having won Seat Story Cup III and ESL Katowice.

HearthArena is finally putting out its overlay
The HearthArena companion app sets an overlay on your game that will show the score for each pick, the explanation and all of the information that you get from HearthArena without ever typing a word. You will have to use an overlay app called overwolf but this is a huge update and may bring a lot of meta changes to arena play in hearthstone.

Hey Bitter Biddies! (Thanks thesaurus.com....)
I wanted to give a shout out to Melchior. We had been friends from a TAC Game Night months ago and, while ranking up, I was randomly matched up against him! Our match was very close and ended with a semi crazy game story.
He was playing Dragon Warrior and I was playing Control Priest with a Confessor Paletress. Paletress summoned a Stallagg which might as well have been a Salty Dog. I then recombobulated a silenced Sludge Belcher and ended up with Fuegen! After a Brawl from Melchior, Thaddius popped out!
After the game, Melchior messaged me with a "well played" and we talked about my ridiculous luck. It was a pleasant interaction in a game that doesn't always offer friendly banter.
Thank you all for fostering such a great community. Keep up the good work!

Hey there angry *BAKUAAACKS* (is that how you'd type out a cluck?)
I am not following the pro scene that closely due to there is only so many hours in a day, so maybe this is something we've already seen but... What do you guys think of the idea of having the players facial expressions being readable by the opponent. Put the players a little closer to each other and mount the monitor "into" the table surface and add some sort of shield to block the field of view for the opposing player.
There are of course mindgames in game thanks to emotes and hovering above certain cards but I'd personally LOVE to add on top of that the looks being exchanged before you play a big combo, facial expressions due to top decks etc. What are you guys thoughts?
Keep up the great work!
Nathan
Hey there frenzied foul,
I was listening last week, contemplating your (and my) disdain for patron warrior, and I think I might've come up with a solution that would solve two things that make the game worse.
1) Nozdormu sucks, and he shouldn't.
2) Patron warrior
So here's the idea: put out a neutral - mid priced minion, say a 5-6 with taunt, for example, with Nozdormu's spell effect. Patron, aside from being annoying, is slow.
If you rush a patron, all but the most elite WILL make mistakes. Give Nozdormu some effect that doesn't suck (or maybe just make him the 5 mana card with lower stats) and everyone wins.
