Introduction to Psychosophy

INTRODUCTION

Psychosophy "Wisdom of the Soul" (also previously called Psyche-Yoga) is a Function Based Typology System that was developed by Alexander Afansyev created in xxx with the goal of “unlocking” the subconscious potential of our psyche. It is heavily inspired by both Jungian Typology and Socionics.

Functions

Weak vs Strong

The functions have a special hierarchical order - top ↑ and bottom ↓.

The 1nd and 2nd functions are on the top, the 3rd and 4th are on the bottom.

The 3rd function is internally ambivalent, being both weak and strong at the same time, or weak with a strong unrealised potential inside.

Result vs Process

"And after that there is another important feature of it: the division of functions into Result-oriented and Process-oriented."

"Result-oriented" (1 & 4) are the functions for which in self-expression the result is more important than the process.

They are by the very principle of their action, are internally alone, not inclined to find a partner, and when expressing themselves, they gravitate towards a monologue.

Result oriented functions (1 & 4) are more rigid in their manifestations, and their actions always have a certain result that works for either for the individual's personal preferences (self-oriented 1st function) or it's being used as means to an end if an external situation calls to do so, but they're not prone to paying attentions this aspect often in daily life (indifferent 4th function). Generally speak in monologues and not prone to discussions that often.

“Process-oriented” (2 & 3) functions tend to be the opposite and value the process more than the result.

They are, on the contrary to Result-oriented ones, are disposed to dialogue, love partnership and the widest possible interaction.

“If, say, a person prefers to realize his logical function in the form of a result obtained in the course of solitary armchair reflections, then we can confidently say that his Logic is Result-oriented (Descartes). If a person finds true satisfaction only in the process of communicating with others, then his Logic is clearly Process-oriented (Socrates).”

Process oriented functions (2 & 3) are generally interested in using their aspect for no reason, just for the sake of process alone, and have very detailed and nuanced view of this aspect because of this orientation for process + they naturally drawn to enjoying discussions regarding the aspects.

Aggressive vs Passive

1, 3 - Aggressive

According to the aspects of fundamental functions, a person is directed to his own state, its maintenance or change, in connection with which the first and third functions are introverted . Let's say 1B and 3B are aimed at achieving their own goals, the realization of their desires, they seek help and support from other people in this. At the same time, they are not interested in motivating someone else to achieve and supporting other people's ambitions.

2, 4 - Passive

The second and fourth functions can be called extraverted , because a person, in terms of aspects of these functions, is primarily interested in someone else's state, and not his own. So, 2L and 4L strive not so much to form their own opinion on any issue, but to support or change someone else's opinion, through disputes and discussions, or simply agreeing with it.

FUNCTIONS

1st

All abbreviated characteristics of the First function: "hammer", Result-oriented, Overabundant, Monologue-oriented, Rigid, Rough, Cautious, Confident, Independent.

It’s the most important and most reliable tool for perceiving the surrounding world, through the prism of which a person always begins to analyze the picture that opens before him.

It's a “hammer”, equally suitable for destruction and for creation. However, this is precisely a hammer with all the conveniences and inconveniences arising from this circumstance, a blacksmith's hammer, and not a jeweler's hammer. The products created by him do not differ in the fineness of the finish, they are rough, simple and focused more on reliability than on beauty.

People perceive information from this function as the most reliable.

• On an epistemological basis, the First clearly divides humanity into four unequal parts: sensualists (1st Physics), voluntarists (1st Will), mystics (1st Emotion), rationalists (1st Logic). Sensualists believe only in personal experience, mystics only in emotional worries, voluntarists only in personal energy, rationalists only in logic.

• The illusion of absolute reliability of the knowledge obtained with the help of the 1st function, among other things, well explains such an amazing phenomenon for our enlightened age as the mass fascination with magic, astrology and similar superstitions. The casket opens simply: all these mass believers in mysticism are emotionals (1E). Therefore, rationalists (1L) can continue even walking on their heads, trying to prove the inconsistency of the superstitions. Useless. For the 1st Emotion, a black cat on the road will always be more reliable than all the arguments of reason.

It's a function we quite unconsciously put it on the table as our trump card in unknown situations.

• For example, the owner of 1F, going to a meeting with a stranger, first (again, I emphasize - quite unconsciously) will think about whether their cleavage is deep enough, and only then about the content of the conversation, their role in it, etc. Whereas the owner of 1L will first think about the topic of the conversation, and then they will take care of their appearance...

The First function is the pillar of the personality, the foundation on which the bungalow of the human psyche, shaken by all winds, rests. However, there is a hidden and dangerous flaw in this superpower and fortress of the First. It’s not flexible. Therefore, strikes against the First function are very painful.

And human nature, apparently, is aware, or rather, “subconscious” of the dangerous lack of flexibility in the First function, since, despite the self-confidence of the First, it usually does not hurry to put itself to a test in a doubtful situation, doesn't matter what we mean by a test: a fight or a dispute.

The main feature of this function is its OVERABUNDANCE.

• If we feel that nature has endowed us with something not just enough, but even with some excess, then we can say with confidence that this is the First function.

Due to the overabundance of this function it can be used to the point of overindulgence.

• “Although a person usually amuses and cherishes his First Function, a feeling of some kind of trouble and even ugliness of the First Function doesn’t leave them, and especially other people around them.” (the result of overabundance)

It's oriented to Results, merciless in front of its opponents (if it has any), does not tolerate compromise and demands absolute victory if it got in a fight with someone.

• The 1st Physics beats the opponent, if not to death, then to complete blackout, the 1st Will achieves undivided power, absolute leadership, the 1st Logic in discussions owns only one truth - its own and, proving it, does not stop until it defeats the opponent on all points, the 1st Emotion screams, until it stuns and silences the enemy.
• (editor's note: take this description with a grain of salt, it's low-key exaggerated and Afanasyev later writes how 1Ls are untalkative (+ I don't see this behavior in 1L2V) and not all 1Vs care about power.)

If the First function actually shares something with someone, it always happens only from the excess of the result that was obtained alone by the person, and, secondly, not because of the internal needs of the First function itself, but under the pressure of lower Process-oriented functions.

Selfishness, orientation to monologue, vulnerability, cruelty and roughness of the First make it the most significant and bright, but not the best side of human nature.

2nd

All abbreviated characteristics of the Second function: "river", Process-oriented, Normative, Dialogue-oriented, Flexible, Pitiful, Fearless, Confident, Compromising.

The Second function is NORMATIVE.

And like any norm, it is difficult to describe. It is unlikely that a person will find more than two words, undertaking to talk about his health, if it is normal: colors, epithets, images are found only when there is a need to list sores. So it is with the Second Function, it is difficult to describe, and like good health, you do not feel it.

If the First Function is best compared to a “hammer”, then the Second to a “river”.

The Second function is our gift to others and the best side of a person.

• “It’s just as strong. But besides the strength, it has qualities unknown to the First: breadth, wealth, naturalness and flexibility. The source of all these virtues lies in the fact that in the Second, strength is connected with orientation to process, i.e. it's a force charged for constant dialogue, constant interaction. Returning to the comparison of the First and Second, we can say that if the First is our gift to ourselves, then the Second is our gift to others. Therefore, it is the Second function that is the best side of a person.”

The second function is extremely rich in hues and has an enormous range.

• In order not to go far, I will give an example of the same 2nd Emotion: one researcher calculated that Tolstoy described 85 shades of expression in the eyes and 97 shades of a smile.

Another characteristic of the Second function, due to orientation to process: the completeness of its implementation is possible only if there is a partner, an audience.

• This characteristic is difficult to see, but one woman with the 2nd Emotion admitted to me that, although life circumstances forced her to do so, she was never comfortable with crying completely alone.

The combination of strength and orientation to process of the Second Function endows it with such an unusually valuable quality as pity. In fact, pity is not a monopoly of the Second, but one of the aspects of being oriented to process.

The specificity of the Second’s pity lies precisely in the fact that it pities from the position of strength, confidence and experience of the richly gifted side of human nature.

• There is nothing better for the sick, the disabled, the elderly, than to be under the care of the 2nd Physics. The boundlessness of her compassion, constant care, precision, speed and caution of movements are able to provide maximum comfort to any weak person.

Another characteristic feature of the Second Function is that it's fearless.

Moreover, a person experiences a kind of pleasure, putting it to the test often in dubious and even obviously uncomfortable situations. And this behavior is easy to explain: The Second one is not only strong, but also flexible, so attacks to it do not hurt, but only give direction to work on its further improvement.

3rd:

All abbreviated characteristics of the Third function: "ulcer", Process-oriented ("Superprocess"-oriented), Deficient, Dialogue-oriented, Flexible, Envious, Fearful, Doubtful, Compromising.

In terms of its principles, the Third Function almost does not differ from the Second, it's also process-oriented. Even, so to speak, “superprocess”*-oriented.

• *superprocess = willingness to act indefinitely for a long time solely for the purpose of obtaining feedback, even if it is obvious that this activity will not bring any practical results. The Third function can fluctuate between two extremes: a complete denial of the relevant area of ​​life or one's abilities in it, or vice versa - an overestimation of its significance (that leads to this unpractical behavior).

• However, in its outward manifestations, the Third Function is strikingly different from the Second.
• The difference is due to the fact that the Third is not a strength, but a weakness, our “ulcer”, a sore spot in the human psyche. It is a function that we ourselves consider vulnerable, flawed, underdeveloped, in need of constant strengthening, self-development and protection.

The Third function is two-sided: the feeling of weakness is combined in it with the feeling of a huge, but not realized potential.

• Just as the whole order of functions is divided into Top and Bottom (which has already been mentioned), the same way Third function is divided and bifurcated. The feeling of weakness is combined in it with the feeling of a huge, but not realized potential.
• The Third is the chained Prometheus, a titan whose psychological chains make him weak, defenseless, vulnerable.

Vulnerability, heightened sensitivity - are the main signs of the Third Function.

Attacks on the Third are extremely painful, and the scars from them remain for almost a lifetime.

Fortunately, the third function is rarely hit, as it has a heightened sense of danger that can prevent an attack, so it is difficult to surprise it with an attack.

It’s prone to exaggeration, waiting for danger to happen, while in fact it rarely does.

• Waiting for an attack on the Third Function is our main nightmare: 3rd Logic is afraid of accusations of incompetence, 3rd Physics - beatings, 3rd Will - humiliation, 3rd Emotion - tantrums.
• However, this nightmare rarely comes true, as the Third is prone to exaggeration and usually greatly exaggerates the real danger.

The Third, like no other function, is able to experience someone else's pain, and feel it even more sharply than the object of empathy itself feels it.

• Tolstoy (VEFL), let's say, did not value the work of a scientist or a musician, but through the prism of his 3rd Physics he couldn’t look at every peasant working in the field without tears.

Pity, compassion - are the properties that make the Third function related to the Second. However, there is a feeling unknown to the Second, but constantly accompanying the Third - it’s envy.

The Third function is envious of strong manifestations of the wounded aspect, so it starts to criticize this aspect, taking a certain mask/fig leaf.

• It combines the desire to rise to the level of the object of envy and at the same time humiliate it. A free, open, strong manifestation of what is wounded in oneself irritates a person, makes one look for some kind of justification for one’s weakness, actively denies the significance and effectiveness of this aspect of life, and behind this denial, as if behind a shield, hides a sense of one’s own inferiority. This is how a fig leaf is born, with which a person usually walks all his life.
• The number of fig leaves corresponds to the number of Third Functions: it is irony for the 3rd Emotion, skepticism for the 3rd Logic, prudery for the 3rd Physics, foolishness and hypocrisy for the 3rd Will.

The Third function can open up if it feels comfortable to do so, especially while being drunk.

• A dry, reserved person (3E) becomes sensitive; a silent person (3L) becomes a talker, a misogynist (3F) becomes a philanderer, a modest person (3V) becomes a conceited one…

Like the Second Function, the Third likes to test itself.

If the test of the Third is passed successfully, then the highest satisfaction, unknown in other cases, comes.

However, there are significant differences between the self-test of these two functions. Firstly, the Third Function prefers to test itself in conditions that exclude direct combat. And secondly, it goes in these tests to the full limit.

Tests to the limit occur because the Third function does not know the natural limit of its capabilities.

• For example, Tolstoy's sister told how at the age of 15 he ran for five miles after a carriage, and when the carriage stopped, young Tolstoy breathed so hard that his sister burst into tears.
• Only the 3rd, and, in particular, the 3rd Physics can examine itself in this way. Other Physics would behave differently: result-oriented Physics would simply not put themselves to the test (1st due to self-confidence, 4th due to indifference), 2nd Physics would run after the carriage, but would run only as long as this competition brings pleasure.

In general, successes, praises, awards in the Third Function are valued like no other and are the subject of inescapable pride of their owner.

• So, Napoleon, having the 3rd Logic, was most proud of his membership in the National Institute (Academy of Sciences) and even signed his orders for the army “Bonaparte, member of the National Institute” and only after this title he put all the other titles, that maybe were much more significant for other people.

• For the same reason, Third, more than any other function, is sensitive to flattery. It is impossible to sort out here; no matter how monstrous flattery is, deep down a person absolutely not believing it, nevertheless shows full readiness to drink and drink this poison, never getting fed up and not experiencing heartburn.

4th:

All abbreviated characteristics of the Fourth function: "trifle", Result-oriented, Scant, Monologue-oriented, Rigid, Indifferent, Fearless, Unreliable, Dependent.

it is a "trifle" - a function to which we ourselves attach little importance.

(But it doesn't mean that the Fourth is weak and unproductive. Position =/= quality)

• It doesn’t mean that the Fourth is weak and unproductive. On the contrary, the world is full of good mathematicians with the 4th Logic and artists with the 4th Emotion. The main thing in it is again the subjective hierarchy of internal values, forcing one thing in itself to be placed on the last fourth step. And treat it accordingly.
• I would like to insist on this attitude to the Fourth Function, since the confusion between the quality of functioning and the position of the function at the steps of the mental hierarchy — is a common mistake in psyche yoga.
• 4th Logic is not necessarily stupid, 4th Emotion is not necessarily insensitive, etc. One woman with the 4th Will, when I once mentioned her "weak character", objected to me: “That's not true. I'm not weak. I'm just more comfortable being led."

Externally, the Fourth function is difficult to distinguish from the Second. They are related by freedom, naturalness and fearlessness of self-expression. For example, it’s easy for the 4th Logic to get involved in an intricate philosophical dispute, at the same time demonstrating looseness and paradoxical thinking, and not even being offended, like the 2nd Logic, after being called a “fool”.

However, despite the outward similarities, there is a deep difference in motives between these two functions: a person with 2nd Logic will not be offended by the "fool" because they won’t believe they are, and someone with 4th Logic - because they’re deeply indifferent to the assessments in this part. That's the whole point.

Activities of the Fourth function don’t have any independent value, it is not an end, but a means of existence.

• Therefore, if, say, someone with the 4th Logic is engaged in sphere of intellectual labor, it means that they’re trying to use this function (regardless of success) as a tool with the help of which the requests of other self-valuable higher functions are realized: ambitiousness - for Will, material interests - for Physics, etc.

Information that is extracted and obtained by the Fourth can be seen as unreliable.

• Let us recall the 4th Logic of Tolstoy, who, with all his love for philosophizing, doubted the existence of Japan and Madagascar.

The Fourth function completely turns off in crisis situations.

• The human psyche, which is generally distrustful of the Fourth, during crises turns it off as a possible hindrance in choosing the right decision and transfers internal energy to higher levels.

It mirrors other people’s requests.

• Interaction with the Fourth is always identical to the order made by the superior function of the partner. For example, it makes the 4th Physics a good sexual partner, since, not having its own model of sexual behavior, it adequately and sensitively responds to all the partner's requests.

The Fourth function is very dependent and easily entrusts itself to other functions higher in the hierarchy.

• So, the 4th Physics painlessly goes into being “a kept woman”, the 4th Emotion is easily infected by other people's moods, the 4th Logic accepts any more or less plausible concepts without a dispute, the 4th Will agrees in advance with the decisions made for it.

The fourth function is a slave without guile, a chameleon and a dependent with a large, but more often dormant potential.

Will(V)

Will. Are you a strong-willed and purposeful person, can you influence other people, can you be a leader and be responsible, what is your leadership style, do you have the strength to defend your positions and resist external factors. The position of the Will directly affects your leadership qualities. Someone has them by nature, someone needs to develop them, and someone is not recommended to be a leader with great responsibility, and there is nothing to worry about. The majority of people have no strong psychosophic Will.

• Will (Spirit) W | V

“Desire, Power Dynamics, Influence, Drive, Perseverance, Responsibilities.”

1V

• 1V have very clear ideas about their I, about their personality and their desires. In addition, they are confident that they have the right to change the world according to their desires.

• Ever since childhood they have felt that they have a right to more than others. Their picture of the world presupposes the presence of a ladder, and they refer to themselves as the “chosen ones”, who belong above. This feeling of being chosen is reflected in everything they do. In life, we characterise such people as people of high integrity who have a strong influence over others.

• 1V are born leaders, monologue leaders. Not democrats, but monarchs. The inner concept of 1V: “Only I am the leader, only I decide. I decided - and everyone must obey. " It is natural for such people that others should obey them. And often people really give themselves up to them without realising why.

• The first reaction of 1V in any situation is to decide for everyone. They always have their own idea of what everyone should be doing. They believe that if a person doesn't answer them harshly, doesn't protect their boundaries, then they agree with their decision.

• Demanding obedience from others, 1V themselves don't like to obey anyone. They feel too much of their privilege and singularity to allow anyone to command them. In addition, if 1V allow someone else's power over their own, this causes a loss in their “I”, which is fraught with the destruction of the supporting First function. Rebelliousness has an intrinsic value to them, it's very difficult to manage such people.

• 1V are the masters of their own destiny, such people have no contradiction between word and deed, between desire and realisation.

• Some of the tragedy of 1V's feeling of being chosen is that they begin to distort their personality in accordance with the ideas of how "the chosen one" should behave - 1V begin to dictate to the lower functions only those forms of expression that they consider worthy of a "king". So the life of 1V turns into constant self-torture, where control reigns over everything. No weaknesses, attachments, temptations, no relaxation. Everything that tries to unsettle this rut they get rid of.

• 1V seeks both within themselves and in those around them to crush what belongs to their Third function, in order to turn it off, to shut their most restless part of life. But what is related to other functions of people, 1V usually don't engage in.

• What they long for is power. They seek to take power always and everywhere, over everyone and in any situation. It’s as natural for them as breathing. If 1V lose power, they will try to restore it by any means - just “so that there is”. Irrevocable loss of power can break such a person. They can condemn the power existing in the hands of others and actively fight against it, but when power passes to them, they'll assert it in the same authoritarian way they fought against.

• 1V create their own organisation (party, company, family), not supposing the continuation of the existence of this organisation without them. Only personal power is of interest to them.

• They regard fame as a natural recognition of their greatness. They make sure that the opinion of them is filled with respect and admiration, and work hard for this opinion. But they don't require any special external attributes. They don't need applause, but real power.

• The relationship of 1V with God is difficult. Since God is the one who has power over all people, 1V can't accept this notion, cannot obey it. On the other hand, the fact that God alone rules the whole world is very close to their picture of the world.

• 1V are overly confident. They often think that they can do whatever they want, and that often fails them. Although their ability to overpower helps them to gather their will and win the battle with destiny, they often lose the campaign after winning the battle. When life breaks their wings, they can suffer very much. But they quickly recover and rush to new victories.

• To 1V the world is divided in half quite categorically: there is their world and their goals, and there is the surrounding world, which is also divided in half - what is important, useful and capable of becoming a part of their world, and what is meaningless, a waste of time and resources.

• A person with 1V is characterised by the feeling of his clan, his family. He wants to take care of himself and “his world,” that is, about the people who are in his system. He is ready to do a lot for these people, but not taking into account their real needs and not even being interested in them.

• 1V people cannot live "just like that." They definitely need to set goals and achieve them. The ability to stay focused on your goal and overcome obstacles is always reinforced by strong energy.

• The goals that 1V set for themselves can apply to both work and personal life, which for them is usually part of a general life project, one of the components that should be present in the general list of their achievements. The public interest matters too much to them, even sex is not so much a physical pleasure for them as an instrument of influence.

• 1V are very jealous - they long for the possession of the whole being of the person who has come under their influence. The unrealisticness of the very idea of possessing the body and soul of others dooms 1V to chronic jealousy.

• 1V are called careerists - when opportunities in one area are depleted, 1V begin to excel in another one. Because of this, very sharp turns are possible in their fate.

• In the team, 1V always emphasise their interests very clearly. They will be good subordinates if so they choose. A first-rate employee, even as a subordinate, feels more important than any boss. If the boss puts pressure on them, then they would rather quit than give up their interests.

• 1V are fearless about possible competition from other capable people. They equally perceive the great and the small of this world, since they subconsciously consider them all below them.

• For the sake of achieving a goal, 1V can compromise the principles of morality and ethics. Although they respect the norms that have developed in society and don't like to violate them, they nevertheless believe that there are situations when such a violation justifies itself.

• 1V don't care under what premise they lead people, they don't believe in them. Obstacles matter just as little. If they need to walk knee-deep in mud to achieve a goal, 1V will do so.

• 1V often look with a squint, as if focusing the gaze and increasing the firmness. They're characterised by a steadfast, firm gaze, from which one can feel the pressure and severity. First-willed people like it when others lower their eyes under their gaze. In their plasticity there is a majesty, a lack of mannerisms, impertinence.

• Their clothing usually bears signs of elitism: it's characterized by strict cuts and colors. Everything vulgar and pretentious is alien to them. At times they like to have some element of exclusivity to their clothes - some detail that is peculiar to them alone.

• The inner composure of the First Will often manifests itself in the form of "buttoning" in clothing.

• In their speech there are many imperative verbs, as well as words and expressions of "high calm". At the same time, the "king" allows himself to use common language. There is some duality in this - the "kings" know how to be rude, but imperatively.

• They like to use diminutive suffixes when talking about others. At the same time, they don't tolerate anything like this in relation to themselves.

• In general, 1V are adults, serious, purposeful people. They set goals for themselves - and achieve them, often neglecting the norms of morality and the interests of others. These people have a strong energy and aim at winning. Public interests prevail over personal ones to them. They treat themselves as harshly as they treat everyone around them.

1V subtypes

(1) Introduction

• 1V is a result attitude, so it doesn't keep the desire-forming process in its sphere of attention. In 1V's eyes, desire appears ready-made, where it can be realized or suppressed. And these desires are not changed much by interactions with strangers.

• 1V is an aggressive attitude: focused on its own desires and their realization, sometimes failing to realize that others have their own aspirations that don't fit into 1V's own framing.

• And 1V is a strong attitude, comfortable influencing others in this aspect, whether by imposing decisions on others or merely confidently following their own path and not easily deviating from it.

(2) Strong-1V subtype

• Strong-1V seeks to influence the goals and desires of others.

• The other subtypes mostly follow their own path and do not impose it, but strong-1V has trouble remaining aloof in this way.

• They are often found in a common cause, guiding others and giving them assignments. If they have no "team" to do this with, they may do this in their household or with their friend group.

• This is sort of like 2V, motivating and inspiring the people around them. But 2V is actually *focused* on the desires of others, they want the other to understand their own aspirations and use them as a guide.

• But strong-1V will set the goal by themselves and naturally lead others in that direction, not quite pausing to think about what others' own goals actually are.

• Compared to the other subtypes, they really enjoy responsibility, and wish to extend their activities past mastery of the self into mastery of the environment.

(3) Aggressive-1V subtype

• The aggressive-1V attaches much importance to achieving their purpose and realizing their goals.

• They tend to talk about themselves a lot, using themselves as an example of a successful person with a good outlook on life.

• Aggressive-1V tends to act like their current road to self-realization is the one true path, and can be disdainful toward those goals lie outside of it.

• They tend to attract a group of followers that end up absorbing aggressive-1V's aspirations.

• More than other 1V subtypes, aggressive-1V pays attention to the expectations of society and compares themselves to others, which can sometimes give them a 3V flavor.

• But you can find the difference in the other dichotomies: aggressive-1V does not need others' help to make decisions or find motivation on the way. For 3V, their confidence and momentum very much depend on whether they are provided this.

• Aggressive-1V is the most self-confident and ambitious subtype.

(4) Result-1V subtype

• The result-1V subtype shows a visible indifference to goal-setting and self-actualization. They may consider themselves lazy and unable to get what they want.

• External motivation doesn't really matter to them at all if they are without internal incentive.

• The way result-1V usually works that they want to achieve the whole thing at once, rather than spending much time and effort to achieve the goal.

• This can give them an air of uncertainty, like they are not really a leader, which can make them look like 4V, especially 4V-result.

• To distinguish them, notice the following. First, you can't really impose your will on 1V-result, especially on anything that really matters (where 4V can usually be persuaded, especially if they know that you will leave them alone if they do what you want).

• Secondly, 1V-result does not blame anyone but themselves for their failures: in their worldview, everyone is in charge of their own life. If you complain about fate, they will not be sympathetic. Whereas 4V will often refer to annoying circumstances or others' mistakes, preventing achievement.

• Still, 1V-result is the least purposeful subtype.

2V

• 2V people provoke others to whine, and having received it, they're amazed by them. Their favourite activity is to calm people, to show diplomacy to reconcile everyone in their sight. At the same time, they can ask a person tediously for his plans and intentions, and then gently explain why he does not need it or will not be able to achieve what he wants, and beg to abandon them in favour of others who he considers more acceptable. 2V want to know why you are sick or what exactly does not suit you in your life, and insists on thinking together on the solution.

• 2V people have adequate ideas about their ID and feel quite clearly their desires and boundaries.

• 2V are characterised by out-of-caste perception, i.e. all the elements of being for them are not built along a vertical hierarchy, but horizontal: everyone is equal in this world, and they treat everyone equally, without humiliating or depriving anyone of attention. For 2V, there are no right and wrong, bad and good, everyone is valuable, everyone is needed. They're always ready for a constructive dialogue: as an adult with an adult.

• 2V prefer to build relationships with everyone on an equal footing, as in a friendly circle. At the same time, they don't impose their ideas on others and will keep at a distance that is comfortable for another person.

• They usually have many friends, since they don't alienate people from themselves but rather attract them, involving them in various joint activities.

• 2V play into relationships, they're ready to come up with new forms of interaction, they like to give instructions to others and they're confident in their ability to resolve any conflict and arrange everything as needed.

• 2V can easily both lead and obey; both are given to it without tension. But still, the ideal position for them is if there's no need to rule or obey. 2V try to find a consensus with people. By retaining a leadership position, they grant everyone the right to make a common decision. Their motto: "I am in charge - but we will decide together."

• 2V have sufficient strength and flexibility to both attack and yield. They can “impose” their system of values on others quite consistently and adequately, and they also react adequately when someone else imposes their system on them.

• 2V people live without masks, they express themselves openly and naturally, fully adequate to the situation. They allow you to laugh at yourself and they're ready to publicly admit your mistakes, if they were committed. There is no sacrifice for them in this. Likewise, 2V recognise the right to error for every person.

• 2V people tend to notice the good in the world and focus on it. If 2V strike with humour, then this humour is not evil (unlike the satire of 3V). This person good-naturedly just laughs at different aspects of life.

• 2V people are not curious. They do not understand people at all, since they have no inclination to delve into the hidden corners of other people's souls.

• They are bad at acting, and know how to play mainly only themselves, since in their nature there is no talent for pretending and reincarnation. They are indifferent to the opinions of others about themselves, and they trust only their own court.

• 2V don't tend to pull the blanket over themselves; they strive to work not for themselves personally, but for their own business. Business can mean both work and family. For 2V, “business” means a joint project that they will defend. In this sense, they have a heightened sense of duty and loyalty.

• Possessing inner freedom and independence, they don't seek to join any social movements, groups, they have no need to merge with the crowd nor to lead it. Therefore, even if they become members of any organisation, they retain inner freedom.

• 2V people are natural guardians of morality and law. Since everyone is equal for them, then the law, in their opinion, should be the same for everyone: both a high politician and any “little man” should be judged in the same way. Their social role is to support a society shaken by ambitious passions. They calmly and firmly stand on their ground, ready to provide support when needed.

• They are indifferent to glory, and the hype, inevitable when famous, causes hostility in them. Therefore even with natural talents, 2V people often remain aloof from fame.

• The thing that 2V dreams most of is complete self-realisation. In what area it will be, whether it will glorify them or not is not so important.

• A person brings to other people what he himself is filled with. 2V bring calmness, benevolence, generosity, and broadcast this to the people who are nearby.

• 2V endow a person with spiritual generosity, inexhaustibility, the ability to give themselves to others, without losing anything. That is why they are able to love truly, with dedication without the risk of impoverishment, with genuine concern for another person. Love is a natural need for them.

• From the outside, the hand-held people can give the impression of being soft and pliable. But those who try to "push" them will inevitably meet with the fact that the 2V hide their boundaries very well and gently but persistently repel all attempts to subjugate it.

• 2V strengthens all other functions. Therefore, these are the most stable of the types. They can also be overly stable in life, not wanting to strain too much.

• The weakness of the Third function is not so noticeable in 2V people. And thanks to innate fearlessness, they can more easily repair this sore spot completely. She is not afraid of mistakes and blows, so she calmly accepts them and continues to tighten her Third Function.

• Sometimes it is common for 2V people to consider themselves too good. And yet you don't need to worry about these people becoming arrogant: with their mental health, this is completely uncommon for them.

• 2V are characterised by a calm look, which reflects benevolence, independence and some absent-mindedness. They prefer discreet clothes, which at the same time would distinguish them from those around, so as not to get to the eyes but also not to merge with the crowd. They prefer loose cut, unbuttoned styles.

• We can say that people who have 2V are lucky, since the core of the personality - Will - occupies the most advantageous position in the structure of their psychotype. The Second Will gives strength and flexibility to the whole personality and makes someone fearless before life.

2V subtypes

(1) Strong-2V subtype

• Strong-2V is purposeful. They wish not only to discuss the decision, but to persuade the other person to act.

• Such a 2V can easily step into the role of leader, to cut through the inertia. Whether through polite persuasion or outright provocation, they will get others to participate.

• Sometimes it seems like they are not actually interested in noting what others want, which makes them look 1V-ish. But 1V wants to actuate its own desires immediately (which naturally leads to highs and lows of acivity). For strong-2V, getting others to act is almost a form of entertainment, which makes them more persistent (it does not drain them as much to involve others).

• You will also hear strong-2V say things like: "I'm not doing this for my own good, *you* want this, and you're just sitting here!" This makes strong-2V seem intrusive but this sort of pressure is very useful, it's what any team can use if it wants to build momentum.

• This is the most insistent 2V subtype.

(2) Introduction

• 2V is a process attitude: it will not bypass the goal-setting process. It's not enough to have ready-made instructions or outlined plans: 2V finds it important to coordinate with both their own and others' desires.

• 2V is a passive attitude: they pay at least as much attention to others' desires and achievements as their own. Sometimes it may seem to others and to 2V themselves that they do not have their own aspirations at all. It is easier for 2V to find what they want when they discuss plans with others.

• 2V is a strong attitude: they do not sacrifice their own desires to someone more in command. Instead, they will try to exert influence themselves, to either actively support the proposed course of action or to actively work against it.

• Which of these properties comes out most determines subtype.

(3) Process-2V subtype

• Process-2V is quite democratic, a natural opponent of any restrictions and constraints.

• In their opinion, nearly any proposal can and should be considered.

• Process-2V subtype spends a lot of time and attention weighing each decision, figuring out whether they or someone else really wants to carry out a plan.

• If a decision has already been made, they are always willing to go back and reconsider it. So maybe you agreed with them yesterday about who will do the work in joint project, and today they propose somehing else, ask again if you are satisfied with the direction, reflect on whether they really want to do it.

• This can make them look like 3V. But 3V really needs discussion of plans, to gather enough motivation and confidence in their desires. Whereas process-2V doesn't need to be "recharged" in this way, it just wants to weigh the pros and cons.

• Process-2V is the most agreeable 2V type, and the hardest to discern the motives of.

(4) Passive-2V subtype

• Passive-2V is quite attentive to others' intentions. Before making a decision, they will think about what others want.

• They will listen to another's plans for a long time and carefully, and usually genuinely support them (outright refusal is hard for passive-2V).

• If passive-2V is firmly opposed to a goal, they will usually try to remove themselves from the situation to avoid hurting anyone.

• This looks like 4V, but 4V becomes tired quickly of "messing up" plans (the process of changing them), they are more inclined to help at the later implementation stage than the earlier "what and why" stage. 4V also will yield to pressure much of the time.

• Passive-2V is not like this: they listen to others in order to actively be involved with the creation of the goal, and if you look closely they are still more guide than follower.

• They do always leave their partner a choice: but passive-2V will be generating the options for that choice themselves. They are like an advisor, prompting accurately and carefully (while leaving the right to make a decision).

• Of all the 2V subtypes, Passive-2V is the most delicate and attentive in conversation.

3V

• 3V don't have a clear idea of their desires and their place in the world, they constantly doubt what they are entitled to. The world seems frighteningly strong, oppressive, and they constantly face this pressure, experiencing pain because of it.

• Since the Will is the core of the personality, and the Third function is split and vulnerable, 3V are people who have a split and wounded core. In such people 3V influences every other function: the same as with Will is happening with their Logic, Physics, Emotion. And the blows that life inflicts on any function of this type are perceived by them as a global nightmare. They become completely vulnerable and are in eternal discord with themselves.

• Other people's assessments don't just touch a person with the Third Will, but literally shake him to the very foundations. Therefore, they get used to hiding their flaws, putting on masks, adjusting to those around them, trying to seem better than they are.

• The envy inherent to the Third function, in this case, becomes global: they envy not only the high Will of others, but also any other function in general, other people who are better at something than them or have succeeded more than them. Therefore, if someone deliberately throws their merits into 3V it will make them hostile.

• Just like with envy, when 3V are praised for any function, even for the Second, it is very pleasing to them.

• When hurting the Third function, people tend to rely on the First, so for 3V people the blows occur almost constantly, so it turns out that they tend to completely hang themselves on the First function - as a result the expression of their First function is not easy and becomes excessive, it can go beyond the normal range. That is why there are so many crazy people among 3V.

• The duality of 3V lies in the fact that on one hand they're convinced of their insignificance, and on the other of their greatness. Or better, they would like to be convinced about it. And they constantly try to prove their worth to others and to themselves. Dostoevsky's books are classic descriptions of 3V. Raskolnikov's torment - "Am I a trembling creature or have I right?".

• It's difficult for 3V to get along with people; they are constantly not satisfied with what they have. They see the world as evil, unfair, cruel, they often think that people don't like and respect them. There is some truth in this: 3V people are really not so easy to love: they are suspicious, touchy, capricious and often don't respect themselves or those around them.

• Usually 3V have very few real friends. In childhood they had problems with peers, classmates, and parents. They are often "offended" by someone, and they can carry these offences with them all their lives.

• Even if others don't offend 3V, they can come up with grievances. They tend to take at their own expense even what doesn't apply to them, like if someone says that they don't like something in other people, 3V will certainly take it personally. And someday they will take revenge - others may be struck by the change that occurs with a person who has always seemed so meek and docile, so loving and kind. They may be shocked by their rancour when they suddenly begin to express all their claims and subtle observations, which they kept in their memories so as to throw it in the face one day. Even if there is nothing to take revenge for, 3V can take revenge on society or people simply for a sense of their own inferiority.

• 3V terribly dislike violence against themselves, however they cannot go to open opposition so they outwardly obey, which accumulates resentment inside them - the day may come when the offender will overtake their revenge.

• Alcohol greatly changes 3V: the sweetest and most courteous person can turn into a vile boor. Many 3V who are concerned about keeping their face always are afraid to touch alcohol.

• 3V spend a lot of energy on protecting themselves from real and imaginary wounds that others or life could inflict on them, they're too busy calculating other people's reactions and analysing their own, so they have too little energy to be interested in something.

• 3V are rarely loyal to anything or anyone. They can display loyalty or assure others of it, but if circumstances change they will betray their old ideals and adapt to new ones. From the outside, this may seem wicked, but to them it's the natural course of life, which they follow sensitively.

• 3V can never say "yes" or "no" to anything - they can rush the answer which reveals the duality of their personality. They easily "serve two masters" - there is nothing immoral about it for them. Lords can be people, beliefs, and even countries.

• Lying becomes the universal means of self-defence to 3V, otherwise it would be too difficult for them to survive, since they are overly sensitive to public opinion. They need to come up with some kind of shell in which they can feel protected, which is a lie. They do it when they need to and when they don't. Lying has become a habit since childhood, and by adulthood it's usually honed to perfection. We can say that lying is a vice inherent in 3V.

• 3V are categorically incapable of admitting their guilt, they can be aware of it but are simply not able to admit this in front of others. For them, it's like admitting their insignificance. Likewise, it's difficult for them to ask for forgiveness.

• The world view of 3V is very complex, hierarchical, caste, and the place a person occupies in this hierarchy according to them is influenced by countless factors, from appearance to religious affiliation. They subtly distinguish between "ranks" and "estates", they can determine who should be flattered and who should be neglected, and at what moment. This trait has a positive side: 3V are sensitive to class barriers, which helps them to avoid trouble whereas other Will stumbles over them. The hierarchy in their picture of the world extends not only to social life but to all aspects. If they're writers or philosophers, an intricate hierarchy can be seen in their books and philosophical works. Even in the family, they organise a complex system of subordination.

• 3V love power almost as much as the 1V, but don't have sufficient volitional qualities to take and hold this power. They are too weak to rule, but too strong to be allowed to be ruled by others. Therefore, 3V people often rub themselves into the confidence of the servants of power, and strive to make profitable acquaintances.

• Their behaviour is often mysterious: sometimes they have a fatal look, which is some sort of a mask. The role of a mysterious hero is an attempt to look away from their "shell" at the world around them in order to understand their expectations and respond in the safest way. 3V watch from under their mask others' reaction - in order to get to know their desires as best as possible and adapt to the image that they expect to see.

• 3V are born actors, as they get used to a role very well. If the role doesn't fit, they change it. Such people can sort out various roles and change them right in the course of a conversation, which is usually very easy for them.

• 3V in addition to acting, have the gift of a psychologist: they are very curious about people and constantly monitor them, collecting facts that, on occasion, can be used against them, or even just gossip. Observations of 3V are often very accurate, but almost all of them relate to the shortcomings of people, which she can then caustically ridicule.

• 3V have a keen sense of everything that is funny and ugly. They can be poisonous people. Since they themselves are vulnerable at the core of themselves, they are looking for the sick, the vulnerable, the evil in others as well. They have a desire to make fun of others. At the same time, they hate to be ridiculed.

• Accustomed to constantly wearing a mask in public, 3V have a need to confess, and they do so either in church, in their diaries, or with people whom at the moment they can entrust their secrets to. Often they specifically find such people and communicate with them only when they feel the need for frankness.

• Even with external pressure, 3V won't act decisively. They subtly draw others into interaction, often shifting responsibility for basic actions onto others. Their purpose is to activate others, to ignite ideas. Their communication skills are better developed than any other Will. They communicate very well with everyone, they can say one thing to one and something else to another - as a result, they twist the intrigue, thanks to which they gain influence. You can call it manipulation, but the accusation of manipulativeness comes from the fact that other Will do not understand this way of behaviour, since it's not peculiar to them.

• 3V have problems with responsibility - they can promise anything but do nothing about it, although others counted on them. Because of this, others often distrust them. 3V people themselves say: “We just understand responsibility differently. The world is so complex that you can’t vouch for anything to be sure.”

• Within 3V there is always a search for the Self. Such people aren't confident in themselves and don't understand very well who they are. Depending on the situation, mood or interlocutor, they may have different ideas about himself.

• The search for oneself is the basis of the motivation of 3V, they are willing to take risks, try new roles and experience things that they haven't before. For example, they can take a fundamentally new job, leave for another country, take a position that he has never worked in before - in order to live this experience and test himself. 3V like to discover new facets within themselves. They have the motivation to grow all the time, to move forward.

• As well as testing themselves, they love to test others. First of all, by Will (that is, checking where the other person will bend and where not), but also for any other function. Even the Second Function of 3V can be used by him in order to test others by it.

• 3V are people in the crowd. There, among people like them, they are quite comfortable. In a crowd, they may not be responsible for anything, not show individuality, here they are relieved of the need to make an independent choice. Very often 3V join some group or social movement and constitute its very core.

• 3V are hostages of fashion and fashion trends. They love what is popular, what everyone is wearing. 3V are often very talented - creativity is their true element but they are too guided by the opinion of the crowd, too eager to adapt to it. The creative expression of 3V lacks independence.

• 3V seems to bring tension, electrification, and nervousness into space. Some of them have a sense of global fear and insecurity. In their eyes, words, in all their behaviour, as if something sick, weak, evil is hidden. Also in the appearance and movements of the 3V there is something squeezed, not free.

• A fleeting glance is the most striking external sign of 3V - even if they try to control their gaze, communicating face to face, you can notice how it slides unfriendly over the faces of others when they think that no one sees them.

• Another trait of theirs is a sour or angry expression on their faces, which often spoils their attractive appearance. It's also common for 3V to wear sunglasses when they are not needed.

• The Dictionary of 3V contains a great deal of reduced vocabulary. They like to call other people by their last names or give them some caustic nicknames. They love strong swear words and generally have excellent abilities to curse, humiliate.

• Most people are 3V, it's a socially desirable characteristic: people with 3V, as a rule, choose for themselves such roles that are most approved by society. Advertising, psychological training, films, pop music and much more that society can give, is focused mainly on the 3V.

• If 3V are engaged in self-development and strengthen this function, the manifestations of their Will become smoother. It will remain sensitive and finely tuned to the perception of others, but anger, revenge, lies and other properties of 3V will cease to have power over them.

3V subtypes 

(1) Aggressive-3V subtype

• Aggressive-3V subtype is the most ambitious. They want to feel good about their own worth, and to prove this to others.

• Often aggressive-3V sets big goals and does not shy away from telling others about them: they want attention focused on them and on their activities. They tend to draw attention and strong opinions from others, anywhere they go.

• So from the outside, they look self-confident and independently successful, 1V-ish. What's the difference?

• Aggressive-3V is more likely to take the opinions of others seriously, to fight back, and to declare that the need for this is an inevitable part of life.

• On the other hand, 1V does not believe that it is possible for external circumstances to restrict their fundamental internal freedom of action, so they do what they see fit, not aiming to prove anything. This mindset is foreign to aggressive-3V.

(2) Process-3V subtype

• Process-3V is more harmonious than the other 3Vs, being close in spirit to 2V.

• They are interested in the common cause, they appreciate support and know how to provide it, they are not too proud to take criticism.

• They love to discuss their desires, actions, and plans for the future, and view achieving goals as a creative and dynamic process. If they are on a team, process-3V can achieve a lot.

• Unlike 2V, process-3V is primarily concerned with their own aspirations, viewing this interaction with others as a way to make progress there.

• Also process-3V suffers from self-doubt and lack of motivation: to stay on the path, they need some benevolent external influence (where a 2V can provide this on their own).

(3) Introduction

• 3V is a process attitude: it keeps the process of forming and realizing goals in its sphere of attention. 3V thinks and talks about what they want, how they're going to do it, and whether it's worth it or not. They are responsive to others' input in this area, and appreciate the right sort of feedback.

• 3V is an aggressive attitude: it is oriented toward achieving its own ambitions, sometimes not noticing that others have desires too.

• 3V is a weak attitude: it is subject to influence from outside, even if it doesn't want to be. 3V tends to attach importance to public opinion, they may do a lot to get a positive response (or do a lot to avoid being noticed to avoid a negative one).

• One of these properties usually comes out more clearly than the other two, giving us subtypes.

(4) Weak-3V subtype.

• Weak-3V is very afraid of others' judgments, their harsh words and scolding looks. The desire to avoid this usually exceeds the desire to get what they want.

• Weak-3V is usually secretive, keeping to themselves, and secretly resentful of otherss who are not like this.

• They have trouble accepting help, both because they generally distrust people, and because they don't feel they're worthy of receiving it.

• Weak-3V often considers themselves insignificant, miserable, incapable of anything, and these thouoghts can overwhelm them, suppressing their ability to act.

• Externally, they usually look like they are agreeable and go with the flow (like a 4V), but 4V has a tolerant attitude toward themselves and an accepting attitude toward others.

• Weak-3V is often at their best in a hierarchical structure, where there are more powerful people to obey, and less powerful people who provide a sanctioned ground for self-assertion.

• Even if effective there, weak-3V feels that they have not realized their true ambitions out in the "big world", and may take this out on anyone depending on them.

• This is the most closed-off 3V subtype.

4V

• 4V people have vague ideas about their desires, and it is difficult for them to separate their own needs from others. At the same time, they are quite careless about their place in this world, not attaching importance to either class boundaries or the power of the mighty of this world.

• The world view of the 4V presupposes an up and down, and they'll automatically place themselves down. They're internally close to the dependent role of a subordinate, a child.

• They are characterised by sincerity and innocence; they don't try to disguise themselves as adults. This is exactly the kind of child that a 4V person in the family of his parents feels like, even when he becomes an adult according to his passport.

• 4V don't oppose themselves to others, and people usually don't want to conflict with them either. They can withstand authority among colleagues and family members due to their benevolence and openness.

• 4V have no need to assert themselves and influence this world. They're removed from the struggle for formal leadership. Therefore, they don't like situations where it's crucial to show leadership qualities.

• Although 4V are sincerely not interested in managing people, they can force themselves to do this, but they'll improvise it in a way. It is especially difficult for them to guide subordinates with a higher Will. If these people become leaders it's probably because a boss has taken them as loyal companions.

• 4V people are always very loyal to a loved one. And if they are already by someone's side, it is impossible to knock them off the chosen line of behaviour. 4V don't know how to be loyal to two opposing people.

• At the same time, the 4V must constantly be in the field of vision of their "master". They easily adjust to the person, building interaction on his energy and fully accepting his system of views. But as soon as the person who "imposed" this system on them disappears, 4V are freed from their values. And when another “owner” appears in their life, they can just as sincerely accept his system.

• 4V easily copy the strategies of behaviour of any other Will. With the First it can behave like the First, with the Second likewise, and even the strategies of the Third Will they'll easily adapt to. If the Fourth Will communicates with a higher Will for a long time and chooses this person as its “master”, they can begin to feel from within the same way as this person, but when later left alone they'll become herself again.

• 4V have not only the property, but also the need to trust someone, it gives them pleasure. If they're left without support, they begin to live like a restless soul. If there was a parting and the person whom the 4V trusted left them, they'll usually continue to live in their system of values for some time and go the same way, but soon stop “serving” this ideal and start looking for another.

• It is common for the 4V to enter someone else's system of values, even during ordinary conversation. They prefer to understand the other rather than to impose her opinion. 4V people allow others to unfold in their presence. They want to please the interlocutor, say something pleasant and supportive. Therefore, from the outside, 4V people seem to be very polite, almost overly obsequious.

• People with 4V are not always gentle and kind, unable to offend even a fly. It all depends on what system of values they have adopted for themselves or "which master they serve." And they can be loyal to both God and the Devil.

• 4V seem to be carried by the wind across the world. In the absence of a heavy core, they will join various currents, groups, people, then move away from them and participate in others. There is no certainty that tomorrow 4V will be the same as yesterday. The value system of the 4V can be rotated 180°. These rapid changes are quite common for them.

• 4V don't have the freedom to make decisions. In this they're highly dependent on others, and even if they "firmly decide" to do their own thing, there is a very high probability that they'll change this decision in favour of a person who is important to them or someone who cleverly persuades them. They don't hold on to their decisions.

• 4V don't like to change the established order, it is easier for her to adapt to them. If they are unacceptable to them, then without condemning or fighting they'll calmly leave for another place. And if the desire to act in their own way remains, then they'll wait for a convenient opportunity when they won't have to fight, and calmly will do what they want.

• They really don't like to take responsibility in situations where they aren't sure that they can do it. If they're put in a specific role, they'll do everything they can, trying as closely as possible to follow the commitment they made. In the event that the 4V don't cope well with the assigned role, they'll calmly admit it.

• Since 4V cannot be influenced by volitional qualities, they do this with the help of other functions. Under 4V, all the functions that are higher receive a certain freedom and can express themselves as they want, unrestrained by anything. Therefore, for all their inclination to obey, 4V people are great individualists. They do what they want. It just so happens that they often want to do what others want them to do. But this does not always coincide.

• 4V people lack a sense of personal self-preservation. Nothing can strike a blow to their personality, so they can afford to tell absolutely everything about themselves, open their souls wide open. And also let others judge them. One of the most characteristic signs of the 4V is boundless confession: these people are able to open their souls to the most secret corners.

• The mentality of the 4V is the most stable. No matter what wounds and scars life leaves on their fate, they cannot break them: they seem to let them pass by and calmly begin life anew, with the same childish and trusting smile on their lips.

• 4V easily forget grievances and forgive anything to others, even if very severe pain is inflicted on them. They have the property of not remembering bad things. In an effort to adapt to others' Will, the 4V may try to get rid of this property, may try to be “proud” and even vindictive, but this is not their characteristic, they still forgets the bad and forgives everyone everything. It is enough to "scratch" their pride slightly - and you will see a soft, responsive heart, ready to trust you for the hundredth time.

4V subtypes

(1) Result-4V subtype

• If result-4V's desires conflict with those of another, this is a difficult situation: they will not usually enter into dialogue or seek compromise.

• Usually result-4V will just follow their own desires and do whatever enters their head instead.

• This is a 1V-ish tendency. But unlike 1V, result-4V naturally avoids responsibility and struggles to keep promises (since it is difficult for them to do anything they do not want to do).

• It is also notable that result-4V can be influenced by others, which can result in a rebellious tone: "leave me alone, I don't want to do it!" 1V in the same situation would remain calm, basically ignore the expectation, and continue on with their own agenda.

• Result-4V is the least collaborative of the subtypes.

(2) Passive-4V subtype

• Passive-4V is distinguished by an interest in others' desires and goals, and an involvement in their implementation.

• The active nature of this support, as well as a tendency toward compromise, gives them a 2V flavor.

• There are two main differences. First, passive-4V will tend to compromise their own interests and agenda, which is not characteristic of 2V.

• Second, they feel out of place in the process of setting goals and defining what is wanted in the first place, preferring to specialize in the later step of more straightforward achievement.

• Constant searching and doubting on another's part (*cough* 3V) depletes passive-4V, since it often feels like a senseless waste of effort. (2V finds the same situation an excellent opportunity to display their creative potential).

• Passive-4V is the most hardworking subtype, the most inclined to joining others in projects.

(3) Weak-4V subtype

• Weak-4V is quite susceptible to others' influence in the area of desires and goals. They usually go with the flow, dreading to make decisions on their own, folding to others.

• Weak-4V is usually too insecure to want to achieve anything that substantial. They lack ambition in work and relationships alike.

• They are docile and tend to rely on their partner: not because they trust their partner, but because thinking about their own development feels odd and they seek out something to replace that feeling with.

• Their low self-esteem and tendency toward self-doubt can make them look 3V-ish. But unlike 3V, weak-4V isn't so resentment-prone: they are not angry at those who are more successful, and do not suffer for not having realized ambitions as large as they'd like.

• Weak-4V's lack of initiative and inclination to obedience is not a sneaky mask, it is a genuine internal state. This is the most sluggish of the 4Vs.

(4) Introduction

• 4V is a result attitude: it usually doesn't pay much attention to how they and others form their intentions, instead seeing desires as a sort of objective reality: what is to be done? Either you proceed with your agenda, or you abandon it for that of another.

• 4V is a passive attitude: it supports the aspirations of others more than fixating on their own (let alone involving others in their own agenda). If you can "infect" a 4V with your own goals organically, they can perform miracles of perseverance helping you.

• 4V is a weak attitude, it is easily influenced, and thus a 4V if not careful may suffer from adopting others' goals that are alien to their own nature. Additionally they will not usually impose their own decisions, believing this a personal and private matter.

• This leads to three corresponding subtypes.

Physics(F)

Physics. How important for you is the material world, wealth, financial security, living conditions. Do you have a lot of requests in this area, you have high performance and how do you interact in the physical world with other people. The position of Physics largely determines domestic and sexual compatibility between people. The majority of people on Earth have strong Physics.

• Physics (Body) F | P
  “Awareness of the physical plane. Concern for appearances, sensory satisfaction, physical flexibility, sense of aesthetics, activity level.”

1F

• The physical appearance of 1F is usually very noticeable: a handsome face, an athletic body, and they stand tall. They are powerful, strong people. Some 1F can be indistinguishable from 2F, 3F or even 4F. For the most part, these are people with juicy face sculpting.

• 1F are especially attractive in adolescence: the girls' figure approaches the ideal: a thin waist, wide hips, large breasts, for young men an athletic build is characteristic: a narrow pelvis, broad shoulders, muscles in all necessary places. With age, the figure changes: the waist disappears, the muscles begin to swell. This is not always the case and not with everyone: many 1F remain fit and impressively beautiful until old age, but the general trend is just that.

• 1F often have full lips with a "bow", as if created for kisses. They make artists and sculptors want to capture their beauty in their works. Most subjects of art are 1F.

• 1F possess a physical energy that fills space. A man walks - and everyone admires him and he admires himself. They are usually smooth, dignified, characterised by the grace of a person confidently standing on his feet. They move picturesquely, as if flowing from one beautiful pose to another.

• 1F have no desire to make unnecessary movements. They can sit for a long time without changing posture. If it is possible to stand or walk, they would prefer to stand. For this reason they prefer static sports ones - bodybuilding best reflects their natural drive to showcase trained flesh.

• 1F by nature have a slow reaction, so dynamic sports where it is necessary to predict the partner's/opponent's actions don't come easy to them. If they engage in martial arts, then they are drawn to it because of the result, not by the process of struggle.

• 1F don't strive to have many children, one or two are enough for them.

• In a conflict, the first instinct of 1F is to attack their opponent. In childhood, they realised this desire quite openly, with age they taught themselves to restrain this instinct, but inside they continue to live with it (expressed through the clenching of fists, hitting a wall, breaking things). Therefore, we can say that 1F have usually a higher tendency to resort to violence compared to others.

• For this reason if 1F come to power then probably they make frightening leaders, as it's easiest for them to resolve a conflict by forceful methods than others.

• 1F dream of living somewhat better than the rest of their social group, and they put a lot of effort into this. But upon reaching the limit assigned to them, they usually calm down and don't strive for more.

• The worldview of 1F is material thoroughly. Material enrichment is the main engine of their activity. Wherever they find a place for themselves - at the helm of power, or in the family - they will first of all try to satisfy material interests: first their own, and then, possibly, others'.

• 1F treat their money with some level of greed, but in any case they will try to never miss their own benefit. They treat material things with respect and somewhere even with reverence: they love their home, workplace, company, family, their things. All these concepts have a special meaning for them, which is not always comprehended by others. They're attached to these concepts, values them and perceives them in a very tangible and almost animate way. They usually have a lot of beautiful and expensive things.

• If 1F discuss, it's usually about money, comfort, appearance or food. Material interests prevail. They organise their world as it suits them - their own sense of comfort is of the highest value, so they're very unhappy when their comfort is disturbed. Comfort doesn't necessarily mean warmth and cosiness: for some it's a house that sparkles with cleanliness, and others it's an old couch and a robe.

• Those who enter the space of 1F fall from their bounty. They don't really care about whether others like their gifts, if they give you should be kind and accept. 1F are ready to share their comfort with others, but in a way that is convenient to them. Their inner concept: "I did this thing, so it should be accepted by everyone unconditionally"

• For their sake, they earn a lot and spend a lot. By their nature they tend to succumb to instincts - they don't fight them and don't see why it would be necessary. They know how to rest best of all and won't let anyone interrupt it. They love things that make life enjoyable, such as massages, beaches, beauticians, and sincerely don't understand why they should live without pleasure.

• 1F like to eat what is tasty, even if it's unhealthy. It's difficult for them to deny themselves pleasures, the main one being food - which they like spicy, heavy, flavourful.

• 1F are absolutely alien to asceticism, which is inherent in most religions, and more often than others it becomes an atheist.

• If 1F go on a diet, then it will be the most comfortable one. They categorically reject strict hunger strikes, or restriction of sweets and alcohol. With great anguish they endures periods of forced rejection of their favourite products, perceiving it almost as a tragedy.

• 1F usually care very much about their appearance and invest a lot of money and effort into it. It is especially important for them to impress in public. They're usually dressed very well - bold clothes, sophisticated, stylish. At home they can look sloppy: they're sure that they look good enough and too lazy to run a comb through their hair an additional time. To them it's not so much about how they look, but how confident they feel about it.

• 1F can do a minimum of things, as long as they are sound and meet their requirements for comfort.

• 1F are "sensory hippos": they're often tone deaf and have a poor sense of rhythm. Even if by nature they're gifted with musical and dancing abilities, they prefer louder sounds and simple movements.

• They poorly distinguish between halftones and shades. Therefore, they tend to overdo it with bright makeup, large expensive jewellery, tart perfume, open, tight-fitting outfits that would reveal and emphasise the body.

• Due to their thick skin, 1F are not squeamish. They likes provoking, pornographic pictures, and they usually don't hide them, just as they don't hide their interest in a beautiful naked body, in showcasing sensuality, in the desire for sex.

• The sensations 1F want to experience in sex are rather rough, the movements are monotonous. But in such sex there is a lot of naked sensuality, absolute adherence to instincts, frank enjoyment of corporeality. This pleasure is somewhat hampered by the fact that 1F have few erogenous zones, and in order to get pleasure, one has to act rather crudely and primitively on them. Many 1F women don't know what an orgasm is.

• In sex, 1F strive for quick pleasure, are indifferent to foreplay, pay little attention to what the partner feels. They either enjoy and gives themselves up to completely, or give pleasure, and can do it tirelessly, but there is no exchange as such, there is no dialogue, no co-process.

• 1F are prone to betrayal, which in the depths of their soul they don't consider as bad. Since during sex they remain out of contact with their partner, betrayal doesn't mean hurting something that was built together, but "there was one partner, now there's another."

• 1F don't feel physiological jealousy. They're not so much hurt by knowing that the partner is not faithful to her, but it is important that the “lover” is less significant than them. To some 1F men it's not shameful to use the services of prostitutes.

• 1F are the most unfortunate victims of the fast flowing time. Time itself destroys the support on which this psychotype rest, and this leads to a change in a their worldview towards greater gloom and irritability.

• In general, the world of 1F is a thoroughly material world, where money, expensive things, physical comfort, and pleasure are of greatest value. Here they are ready to share out of excess, but taking care first of all about their own benefit. Here, betrayal is not considered as such, here, in the conflict, fists immediately come into play, but here they stand firmly on their feet.

1F subtypes

(1) Introduction

• 1F is a result attitude: it is not inclined to constant physical activity. Not because it lacks the strength for this, but because it only pays so much attention to the body and the material world. There are a set of needs that must be satisfied (maybe eat good food, have personal space, dress well), but after that attention shifts to process attitudes.

• 1F is an aggressive attitude: their own physical needs come first. This gives them a possessive nature, and unstable fluctuations between greed and generosity.

• 1F is a strong attitude: it imposes its ways of interacting with the material world on others (everyday habits, tastes, and preferences).

• The extent to which these qualities are expressed determines the three subtypes.

(2) Strong-1F subtype

• Strong-1F has the most impact on people around them in the realm of physics, as well as the most impact in the material world as a whole.

• They are highly active: decorating, exercising, doing repairs, making things with their own hands. They don't just enjoy eating, but also cooking. They don't just enjoy nice outfits, but also shopping.

• Strong-1F likes to look at other people, to touch them, to give them lifestyle/appearance advice.

• This behavior is similar to 2F. But strong-1F sees other people as objects designed to satisfy their own needs (just in the material sphere, I mean). While 2F really wants to locate others' true physical needs, to help the other person express these needs, to "liberate" the person in a sense.

• Also strong-1F's activities tend to proceed in quickly-ending bursts, where 2F tends to more of a stable rhythm since their attention never really leaves the material world.

• Strong-1F is the most active and self-confident subtype.

(3) Aggressive-1F subtype

• Aggressive-1F has high demands for their body, health, appearance, material status, and living area. These needs are more pronounced than the other 1F subtypes, and if not met will lead to severe discomfort and anxiety.

• This capriciousness and fastidiousness makes them look like 3F. But aggressive-1F is self-sufficient in the physical world and desires no outside interference (advice on how to dress better, how to eat right, how to arrange an apartment etc.)

• 3F for all their squeamishness is still looking for this sort of feedback. 3F wants people to find a tailored approach to them, while aggressive-1F simply wants not to be interfered with.

• Aggressive-1F is the most demanding 1F subtype.

(4) Result-1F subtype

• Result-1F is usually indifferent to their appearance and their environnment. They are too lazy to maintain order, take care of their body, or cook well. Thus, they either learn to minimize their needs, or rely on the services of others (for example by ordering take-out food).

• Result-1F does not enjoy being active, playing sports, or moving around. A passive lifestyle is much more suitable for them.

• Thus they can be mistaken for 4F. But 4F easily adapts to others' habits and tastes, while result-1F still wants what it wants. They get what they desire, just not in energy-intensive ways, and covering too much ground. But if you get in the way of result-1F's habits and tastes, they will do everything they can to push back and stop this.

2F

• 2F provoke liberation and discovery of their true tastes. This can manifest it both in the kitchen and in bed. 2F behaviour is one big offer of yourself as a lover, nanny, masseur and sports coach in one bottle.

• 2F usually have a somewhat shortened figure and a round face - it's stocky, compact, stable, like a sports car, which is adapted for fast movement. Generally short to medium height, there is no particular beauty or ugliness. It's a very balanced appearance.

• Until the age of thirty, the body of 2F is distinguished by thinness and slenderness, and then the waist disappears, the silhouette diffuses - and the whole figure becomes short and round. Such people are never particularly overweight. Women with 2F usually have narrow thighs, bulky buttocks, and a full chest.

• 2F are very lively and agile. The movements are moderately fast, strong, precise, as well as aesthetic and graceful. Their mobility is also manifested through the fact that they are very active. Rest for them is a change of activity. They need to be limited or else they will do something all the time.

• 2F are true workaholics: labour for them is sacred in and of itself, regardless of field of activity. Wherever fate throws them, they'll work tirelessly and with dedication. They're those that forget to go on vacation, sit late at work, consider it a crime to take sick leave and are ready to go back to work even after physical stress. Put them in prison and they'll work hard there too. There are obvious pros and cons to this - by giving 100% of themselves to work, 2F can neglect health.

• 2F will be happy to do any work, both monotonous and creative. With the same pleasure they teach to beginners, show by their own example and motivate those who are tired. 2F fitness instructors like to do the exercises with a group, and their exercises are usually mobile and energetic.

• 2F need interaction with other people. They enjoy physical intimacy as well as the “unpleasant” physical work such as caring for the sick. During a conversation 2F like to touch the interlocutor's arm or shoulder, as if to establish a physical contact with them.

• The physical world is a natural element to 2F, they play with objects, plants, animals, people. Interacting with them, it seems to create a process like a game.

• 2F are fearless in everything that concerns physical interaction, they trust their body and its flexibility, feel it is wide and richly gifted - and it usually doesn't let them down, acting accurately, reliably and efficiently.

• 2F bodies are perfectly adapted to fight. They're not afraid of being hit or wounded, they're not afraid to get involved in a battle even with those who are stronger, in the struggle for them there is a special excitement, the spirit of competition.

• 2F, like 1F, naturally respond with violence to the violation of their boundaries, but without cruelty, revenge. They make bad thieves and criminals, they're set up too constructively to take away from another that which they would gladly give to the opponent. If the Second Physics take a criminal path, still the feeling of inner conflict doesn't leave them.

• 2F are economical without stinginess, they love to make money, know how to save it but also spend it gladly to provide physical comfort for themselves and their family - in their house there is exactly as much as is required.

• 2F don't like to throw away old things: anything finds a worthy use with them. They are able to make something new, unusual and beautiful even from old things.

• Wherever 2F are engaged, they strive to preserve the natural properties of things such as colour, smell, texture. 2F women often don't wear makeup, 2F chefs strive to subject food to minimal processing, 2F sculptors try to emphasise the natural properties of the material.

• 2F are very adequate to nudity, in which they value its naturalness. Everything related to physiology evokes an adequate response in them, with full acceptance of all physiological processes, without dividing into "good" or "shameful".

• 2F are squeamish despite the complete acceptance of physiology, there is a line beyond which disgust begins, and they try not to cross it. Therefore, they're very clean both with their space and their body.

• 2F tend to want multiple children, who are always well-groomed, fed, rested, study hard.

• From adolescence to old age, 2F have a very adequate attitude to sex and give themselved up to it with pleasure and usually without excess. They are great lovers: attentive to the partner, tireless, resourceful and self-confident. For them, the whole love process is important, every stage, every movement. In addition, they have many erogenous zones.

• For 2F the best side of their nature is physical care for others and an absolutely adequate attitude to the material world. They are beautiful in motion, very active, energetic, fearless and tireless.

2F subtypes

(1) Strong-2F subtype

• Strong-2F seeks to influence others in their daily life: specifically, how others interact with the material world.

• They can be a talented coach, master craftsperson, stylist: the main thing is that their activities involve communication with others about their concrete direction.

• Strong-2F is a teacher and a mentor who successfully pushes others to realize themselves in the world of Physics. You can hear phrases from them like:

• “you should wear more light colors, it really suits you"

• “you should go on this diet"

• “clean your room, how can you live in this mess"

• Strong-2F is persistent in their recommendations, because they are convinced that they are making others' lives better.

• This imposition of a certain way of life, the calls for change and improvement, makes strong-2F look like 1F. But 1F is focused on their own needs, and simply makes others adapt to their tastes as necessary. Strong-2F is actually focused on others, wanting to change the person's relationship to their body and to physical space, and successes in this domain bring strong-2F genuine pleasure.

• Strong-2F is the most persistent subtype.

(2) Introduction

• 2F is a process attitude. A 2F notices small details of its own and others' physical state, seeks to interact with this and modify it. This makes 2F very mobile, interested in issues of appearance, health, personal care, exercise, and the outdoors.

• 2F is a passive attitude. It finds the physical needs of others worth noting, helps them to relax and get in touch with their body.

• 2F is a strong attitude, it is confident in its evaluations and desires influence. 2F knows how to evaluate their own and others' appearance, how to eat right and have a healathy lifestyle, how to interaact with the material world. They shaare these ideas with others, trying to change their lives for the better.

• Some of these properties will stand out more than others and risk typing errors. Thus we should discuss what different subtypes look like.

(3) Process-2F subtype

• Process-2F strives for physical interaction with other people and the world. They have difficulty sitting still, they constantly want to move, to feel the progress of their body. They are usually very into exercise, dance, and/or general fitness/health.

• Process-2F also just has a strong desire for bodily contact with others. They may give a massage, straighten clothes, comb hair, hug...basically, touch people in every possible way.

• There is plenty of opportunities for process-2F to realize itself in everyday life: they may create objects, sew, grow plants, take care of animals, take care of children.

• This abundance is common to 2F and 3F. Unlike 3F, process-2F feels confident and free in this area, and is not overly weighed down by their own needs (focusing instead on liberating others).

• Process-2F is the most mobile and restless subtype.

(4) Passive-2F subtype

• Passive-2F is the most tolerant of others' habits and preferences in the material world. They will not impose a healthy lifestyle, self-care, or a certain style of clothing, but rather help the other person satisfy their own needs in the optimal way.

• For example if a loved one is hungry, passive-2F will be creative in preparing the dish so it brings as much pleasure as possible. If someone wants to go for a walk or play a quick game of basketball, they will gladly join.

• Passive-2F is not so critical of how the other person moves, how they look, or what they eat: in their home, order is not a requirement. They will give advice on appearance, health, and housekeeping, but these recommendations are friendly and unobtrusive.

• Since they are so adaptable they can be mistaken for 4F. But passive-2F is active, in high spirits, in touch with their body: self-actualizing via the physical sphere, rather than simply interacting with it as needed. Passive-2F will take responsibility for their own physical nees and those of others, make sure they are satisfied, put a lot of thought into doing this in the best way.

• Passive-2F is the most unobtrusive subtype.

3F

• 3F usually grow up late and remain thin, thin-boned and stooped all their life. Some 3F have an almost perfect body, very proportional and slender, but this is rather the exception. The face of 3F is usually asymmetrical, and some details stand out especially noticeably. In addition, 3F often suffers from acne, as their sensitive skin does not tolerate the aggressive effects of the external environment.

• 3F are very mobile, but their plastics lack confidence and accuracy. There is a lot of fuss, awkwardness and excessive caution in the movements of 3F. At the same time, they move a lot, they're characterised by restlessness and a desire to constantly change poses, as if they cannot find a place for themselves.

• 3F, despite their fragility, are generally in good health. They take care of their health all their life, as well as their appearance. They're characterised by moderation in food, mobility and subtle attention to what is happening inside the body. 3F are often fond of curative fasting and tempering.

• 3F are very sensitive to their appearance, they often believe that they're ugly, and this conviction of their unattractiveness becomes the main torture. Both 3F men and women often experiment in the field of fashion, they can wear provocative outfits, they are very careful about their face and body.

• At the same time, 3F are very shy about their excessive sensitivity and physical weaknesses, which can be many. If 3F reveal their weaknesses to the world and there is no way to hide them, they try to play them in advance in such a way as to arouse sympathy.

• Sensory perception of 3F is very sophisticated. They are able to pick up the shades of colours, sounds, smells. They can experience discomfort from too loud sounds, too pungent smells. Their element is subtle transitions, complex scales.

• 3F are characterised by extrasensory abilities, sensitivity to the energy interaction of people. If 3F experience physical pain, illness or hunger, their sensitivity heightens.

• 3F sense all physical interactions between people, as if they were through their own body. Whether they see a fight happening or observe a love scene, they experience it as if it were happening to them.

• 3F are not about imagining, but directly from within themselves feel someone else's physical sensations. They are very sympathetic to people that do physical labour, as well as to everyone who has to endure hardship or suffer from illness. Noticing other people's discomfort, they try to smooth it out.

• In the kitchen, 3F prefer to cook something complex and sophisticated. At first, they may feel insecure, but if you teach them, and most importantly cheer them up, then they creatively recycle someone else's experience and bring something of their own to it.

• 3F are somewhat wary of complex mechanisms. If their work is connected with them, they prefer at first to play the role of a follower for a long time, turning to specialists at the slightest problems. But over time, their fear disappears, and they begin to act confidently, often bringing the simplest processes to real perfection.

• 3F have a particular attachment to their own things. They may be uncomfortable in someone else's house just because it is someone else's. Going on a trip, even for a couple of days, they can take a huge suitcase with them, in order to create a feeling of home for themselves in an unfamiliar place.

• From the 3F comes the feeling of overprotection and infringement of the physical principle. It is very easy to inflict psychological trauma on them by making an incorrect or negative remark about their appearance or about their abilities as a man/woman, which they may then take a long time to heal. It's difficult to predict where exactly one can "stumble" while communicating with the 3F: each has its own weak point.

• 3F can be very prolific. Children are of absolute value to them. This reveals their desire to assert the full value of their physical principle. The more children there are, the fewer reasons to suffer from their own deprivation.

• Some 3F overprotect its children. Since they are not too adapted to the hardships of the physical world, they seek to protect other, weaker creatures from them.

• Shyness is inherent to 3F. They can be ashamed of nakedness (someone else's and their own), overt or excessive sexuality, even their passion for food, if it's peculiar to them.

• 3F tend to deny the importance of physiology and physical pleasures in general. They are insanely important to them - but they cannot admit it, cannot recognize the power that the physical world has over them and what great pleasure it gives.

• Intimate life is the area where the duality of 3F is most clearly manifested. They usually start it rather late and with great care. And it contains both hypersexuality and bigotry. 3F are inclined to deny the meaning of eroticism, to resist their bodily desires. On the other hand, they passionately dream of surrendering to them, and if they do then with their whole being.

• As far as eroticism is concerned, the feeling of fear is characteristic to 3F. They are somewhat cautious of creatures of the opposite sex and are looking for the most non-traumatic ways to realise their sexuality. Rejection is extremely painful for them. Often they prefer to refuse first as if in advance, protecting themselves from possible injury. 3F often resort to various sexual fantasies. All these are comfortable ways to realise oneself, without possibility of rejection.

• 3F have an avid interest in the psychology of people with open, casual, demonstrative sexuality, as well as prostitutes.

• Due to their natural shyness, 3F tend to not be leading, but led by sexual partners. At the same time, they tend to put the partner's pleasure above their own.

• In sex, 3F can endlessly touch and kiss just enjoying the process. In addition, their bodies are an erogenous zone all over.

• 3F are jealous of physical touch more so than others. Physical intimacy for them is kind of a sacred action, and they perceive the intrusion of strangers into this shrine as a betrayal.

• If a partner is unfaithful to 3F - for them it's a confirmation of the defectiveness of their physical principle, which they already consider defective, and an ulterior confirmation is a huge pain for them and the strongest insult. If a partner cheated on them, they may experience such a strong disgust that they no longer can be attracted to them. At the same time, it is almost impossible to deceive them, since they sense the slightest changes in body language, it's like they can perceive someone else's frequency.

• On the other side of fear and uncertainty is the desire of 3F to please everyone. Defiant behaviour is inherent in both women and men. 3F, like any Third function, doubt themselves. In order to test their attractiveness, they like to play the game of seduction, which has no other purpose other than self-affirmation. It's very difficult for 3F to refuse such behaviour, otherwise they won't be able to receive the confirmation they are looking for. If you ignore the bodily hints of 3F, then you can seriously hook them with such a game.

• Men, in addition, try to assert themselves in their physical abilities. A physically perfect man has an excellent body, he is hardy and fearless. Very often 3F men go in for mountaineering, yoga, extreme sports, demonstrating their potential to themselves and others.

• 3F are characterised by a constant test of their strength. They like to overcome inconveniences, they can do something in uncomfortable positions and strain a lot. They're very proud of their victories in physical tests and want to be admired. It is important for them to impress in Physics. Through this behaviour, they seem to say: "I am strong after all, I can cope with physical discomfort, illness, and ordeal."

• 3F carry heavy things, move objects, deliberately demonstrating to everyone how hard it is for them - and at the same time refusing help. They evoke sympathy for themselves in those around them. 3F can pay for someone - but do it in such a way that the person would feel like paying them back. At the same time, they refuse it.

• The attitude 3F have towards money is ambivalent. On one hand, they can be pretty frugal and stingy, then again they believe that having a lot of money is bad, in fact they love making expensive gifts, buying luxe things, and participating in charity. They may verbally deny the importance of money, but if they're honest they'll admit to the virtual importance of it.

• 3F are able to live at someone else's expense, but at the same time it will cause the torment of shame and a feeling of their own unfulfillment.

• 3F are often close in spirit to an equalising, distribution system, where everyone gets a small, but guaranteed piece of bread. They are ready to come to terms with the minimum, as long as it is guaranteed.

• 3F are born opponents of violence. They're pushed to this not only by sensitivity to other people's pain, but also by fear or cowardice. 3F are not great fighters because they're afraid of exposing their body to attack. They are afraid of fights in the same way as 3E are afraid of hysterics, and the 3L are afraid of sharp disputes.

• If 3F are used to physical violence, they can be unnecessarily brutal and overstep the boundaries. So cowardice and cruelty coexist in them.

• 3F can be law-abiding. Fear of violence turns them away from the criminal path. The only crime 3F could be capable of is a out of jealousy: in such a state they are ready to commit even murder. It rarely comes to this, since until the very last moment, cruelty fights with pity and cowardice.

• 3F rarely commit suicide. They often think of it as a way to turn off the most restless part of themselves, but it is enough for them to imagine how tissues die off, how the heart stops beating and how the body that from healthy becomes covered with cadaveric spots, and the suicidal "appeal" disappears.

• The world of 3F is a complex and contradictory one, in which the fear of bodily pain, seeming ugly or to be rejected in intimacy makes them at times hide their true desires behind hypocrisy, self-affirmation, and games of seduction. Here they boast of their appearance and physical strength, here they are ashamed of their weaknesses and are afraid of eroticism. Here, the worst crime is treason, and the greatest joy is the endless process of subtle pleasure from physical contact.

• Like 2F, 3F don't sit still because of their process, but unlike in the former, it causes a feeling of "unhealthiness". 3F are painfully concentrated on their body and material condition. They can discuss with you for hours the details of diet, as well as about exercise, cosmetic procedures, massages.

• 3F are characterised by a desire to buy and accumulate finances. They tend to discuss in detail the pro's and con's of purchasing clothes, shoes, furniture and other things for a long time and in detail. They are split between greed and generosity. They also like to talk about ways to make money. The financial status of 3F is pretty important to them.

• They can overload themselves with homework and try to attract their households to it. There is a feeling that 3F comes up with chores where there aren't - they move things, clean surfaces, explore objects. They often complain about lack of sleep, but do not want to reduce their activity. "If you want to help, don't advise me to do less, it would be more helpful if you did it for me."

• They can watch a person eat something with interest; when they're offered a treat, they take a tiny piece, they invariably refuse to take a normal portion. This is due to 3F's uncertainty about their right to take something from the material world.

• In addition, 3F react strangely to touches: their hugs and caresses will be cautious, as if seeking permission. They like to be liberated and pushed to physical interaction.

• 3F always hide an obvious complex about their appearance. They feel uncomfortable discussing their appearance, as they immediately lose their confidence. Often 3F comes up with non-existent problems with their looks.

3F subtypes

(1) Aggressive-3F subtype

• Aggressive-3F is preoccupied with their own needs. They don't easily give up their everyday habits or make compromises.

• Aggressive-3F understands better than you what they should wear, what diet to follow, cosmetics etc.

• As with process-3F, aggressive-3F likes to explore all sorts of sources to find new recipes, aesthetics, beautiful objects, and ideas for their living space. Unlike process-3F though, they are not so interested in sharing their research and re-discussing it. It is enough for aggressive-3F that they create their own little world in which they can be comfortable.

• This confidence and steadfastness can be confused with 1F. But aggressive-3F is attuned to many little things in the physical world, shows constant physical activity, tirelessly aims to self-improvement and increased skills in Physics-related areas, which is not usually 1F's way of being.

• Aggressive-3F is the most self-sufficient 3F subtype.

(2) Process-3F subtype

• Process-3F is distinguished by high activity and mobility, as well as an intense interest in the topics of health, exercises, grooming, household projects, cooking, etc.

• They can talk about this for hours, give advice, collect interesting information for future reference.

• Dealing with process-3F can sometimes be unpleasant: for example, they constantly discuss the clothes and figure of people around them, or give obsessive advice like "be sure to add celery to this dish!" or "you will freeze in that hat, wear something warmer!"

• Therefore it can be difficult to distinguish between process-3F and 2F: they are both active in this area, especially when others are involved.

• But process-3F is insecure and easily influenced. Even if they are dumping a ton of advice on you, at some level they are looking for something reliable in return. This comes out as questions: does this shirt suit me, is the color of the ceiling matching the color of the walls, etc.

• 2F solves these questions perfectly well without outside help, process-3F will feel a persistent unease and sense of needing confirmation.

• Process-3F is the most sociable subtype.

(3) Introduction

• 3F is a process attitude: it has a constant focus on physical needs and satisfaction. This means they notice many subtleties in interaction with the material world.

• 3F is an aggressive attitude: guided primarily by their own state. They pay attention to their own body, health, appearance, and home, seeking to bring them to an ideal.

• 3F is a weak attitude: it needs help with its physics-related needs. 3F lacks confidence in its influence on the material world.

• These are the three concepts 3F consists of, which forms three subtypes.

(4) Weak-3F subtype

• Weak-3F is the most susceptible 3F subtype to outside influences. They often need help with housekeeping, working on their body, choosing clothes. They lack the knowledge and confidence to handle these issues on their own.

• To limit the scope of effort, weak-3F often resorts to a sort of asceticism (often unconsciously). They throw away unnecessary things so as not to take care of them, they cook with the simplest recipes to avoid mistakes, they do not have pets because the pets will have needs.

• This makes weak-3F look like 4F, because 4F is also unpretentious, often not bothering much with the physical sphere at all. But weak-3F does still want to make something of themselves in this area, despite all their difficulties. With the right help and support, they will flourish.

• For example, weak-3F may cook wonderful dishes if someone else does the dirty work (cleaning, cutting, washing food), or equip the apartment if helped with arranging furniture, painting walls, or installing equipment.

• Weak-3F is the most dependent subtype (on both people and circumstances), but in the right collaborative setting they can move mountains.

4F

• The appearance of 4F is distinguished by refinement. Usually these are people with sharp, small features (thin nose, thin eyebrows, small lips), although there are exceptions. If 4F are beautiful, then it's discreet. Over time, the appearance of 4F practically doesn't change.

• Their movements are characterised by being static like 1F, but unlike them they lack the same confidence and picture flow from pose to pose. 4F simply make the minimum of movements required by the situation.

• 4F are born ascetics. Physical discomfort is not a reason for them to worry and they'll easily endure hardships and diseases. They don't attach importance to someone else's physical discomfort like their own, you can't expect much physical care from them.

• 4F sometimes seem parallel to the physical world. They can work without noticing fatigue, be assiduous and diligent - but at the same time indifferent to the results of their physical labour. Any dirty and even meaningless work can be assigned to them - they'll do it like any other.

• 4F can do with a minimum of things and conveniences, but they don't dislike luxury either. They're sincerely indifferent to the physical layer of life and usually provide themselves with the material conditions they consider necessary, often relying on the higher functions of the psychotype, which can be limited.

• Money for them is an opportunity to realise higher functions, and not an end in itself. It is not money as such that matters, but the opportunities it opens up.

• The sensations that 4F people are capable of experiencing are distinguished by sufficient refinement. Their body is quite receptive. Psychic abilities are available to him. Esoteric practises are easy for him: the body does not hold, while it is an excellent conductor of subtle sensations. But all this has no independent value for him. And if the higher functions of the psychotype are not interested in such sensitivity, the person will not develop and use it.

• 4F easily trust others in regards to the physical aspect of life - they can play sports for the company, try new physical sensations, if others say that this is good. Sometimes it seems to them that they want to do or eat something simply because another person is doing or eating next to them. They really like it when they are recommended some dish or clothes. If there is someone who will take on the issues related to her wardrobe and food, she will gladly trust someone else's decision.

• 4F will be what other people or themselves "make" of it. Since they don't have their own system of physical preferences, they easily accept someone else's - the one that will fit into their world and will be in agreement with the higher functions of the psychotype.

• In a stressful situation, 4F are turned off first. They may become ill or lie motionless. Such people usually get physically exhausted rather quickly, especially when the Third Function is overloaded.

• 4F can be characterised by gloomy and even suicidal moods. The thought of suicide comes to them easily and without any disgust. This also demonstrates the ability of the Fourth function to switch off in crisis situations.

• 4F are characterised by a feeling of a weakened physical principle - hence the feeling of early old age even in young years, which may conflict with their healthy, full-blooded appearance. With age, this contradiction is usually smoothed out. Constant sadness, a state of melancholy, a feeling of the tragedy of being, the proximity of some kind of misfortune - is the normal state of 4F. No matter how well life develops, they'll always find a reason to feel melancholic.

• 4F feel some sort of indifference to the suffering and death of people: it's very close to them in spirit, so when it happens in the world they take it for granted.

• 4F are absolutely fearless. The fourth function is generally easily substituted by a person under attack, in this case they easily substitute a body for a blow. In the struggle, they are not inclined to spare either themselves or others.

• 4F can easily remove who gets in their way ("remove" without much cruelty, rather with indifference, as dust is swept away) - however, having first tried the methods of influence on the First, Second and Third functions.

• 4F are characterised by a weakened libido. Sex takes the last place in her hierarchy of values, sometimes, they don't understand at all why it's needed. 4F are not prone to betrayal. They can talk about sexual topics easily and fluently, without an unhealthy interest.

• If they desire to do so, 4F can make for a successful political career. They're not tempted by money and women, and people really like courage and incorruptibility and that plays into their favour.

4F subtypes

(1) Result-4F subtype

• Result-4F is particularly interested in stability. They are stable in their everyday habits, replace their clothes rarely, take a straightforward approach to household chores.

• This doesn't mean it's that easy to get along with result-4F, as they will stubbornly defend their usual way of life.

• Thus they can look like 1F, especially result-1F. But 1F is going to more intentionally focus on their physical needs rather than taking influence from others. 1F sets the way of life, others adapt.

• Whereas result-4F is more of a follower here and quite suggestible. The habits they defend are often habits that have been imposed on them at an earlier time (for example in childhood). They do not reassess much: if they can continue the habit, they will, if not, oh well. There are other more pressing things to deal with (the higher attitudes).

• Result-4F is the most conservative subtype.

(2) Passive-4F subtype

• For passive-4F, there is a notable attention to others' needs. They will pay attention if someone else is uncomfortable. They are interested in others' tastes in habits.

• This makes them 2F-like. But 2F actually puts in the time on material issues, they remain active, and they do not compromise their own tastes in attempts to accommodate others, instead making proposals and discussions.

• Passive-4F is more likely to just give in and accept others' habits. They will not usually experiment culinarily, instead just asking what the other person likes. They will look for the most definite and confident answer.

• Passive-4F is the easiest subtype to find a common language with around physical matters.

(3) Weak-4F subtype

• Weak-4F is probably the subtype that usually comes to mind when you think about 4F.

• They are easily amenable to different material circumstances. If there is no hot water, weak-4F will use cold water; if they're out of a finished dish, they'll just start eating something random.

• Weak-4F has difficulty maintaining an acceptable standard of living. Without another's interference, their existence quickly becomes ascetic. But they are not opposed to someone else solving these issues for them.

• Both weak-4F and 3F are susceptible to others' influence. It's worth paying attention to what kind of influence they expect and how to relate to it.

• 3F is constantly aware of their physical needs and places importance on their satisfaction: as such, they expect persistent but delicate help. Because of 3F's attention to detail, their needs are variable and require discussion.

• For weak-4F everything is simpler, as they forget their physical requirements quickly. And those requirements that remain are so low that they are easy to meet. Weak-4F will be happy under most conditions: they need to live reasonably well, and not be frequently uprooted.

• Weak-4F is the most sluggish and unpretentious subtype.

(4) Introduction

• 4F is a result attitude: it does not pay much attention to its physical needs or the material world as a whole. 4F does not really bother to focus much on clothes, food, or home decor, nor do they usually enjoy physical activity much.

• 4F is a passive attitude: other people's needs and preferences in the physical world seem at least as interesting as their own. One way this usually plays out is that 4F's self-esteem does not depend much on their financial situation, this is not close to their core.

• 4F is a weak attitude, inclined to give into outside influences, compromises on its real-world needs. On one hand, these people are unpretentious in everyday life and it is easy to get along with them. On the other hand, they lack the assertiveness to "defend their territory" when necessary.

• One of these properties is usually more noticeable than the others, hence subtypes.

Logic(L)

Logic. Defines interest, amount of energy and approach to the study of anything. Strong psychosophic Logic gives a person goals in the intellectual and logical sphere, science and education of any kind. The position of Logic shows how much energy you have there, whether there are goals there, how do you interact with other people in the field of Logic, whether there is potential for development, whether it is worth going in this direction, etc. Many scientists and researchers have high (strong) Logic: e.g. Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, or “grandfather” of socionics Carl Jung.

• Logic (Mind) L

“The use of our mind. Capacity of seeing logical connections between things, formulation of theories, the use and generation of information, intellectual interest.”

1L

• For 1L, thought, logic and self-sufficiency come first. 1L tend to go from concept to concept, often dragging life itself into the framework of their theories.

• 1L strive for universalism, that is, forming their own picture of the world, they try to include all the phenomena of life in this accurate picture and spread it to the whole world at once. They tend to generalise facts. From a thousand details, they are able to put together a single consistent picture, which they'll try to apply not only to these details, but also to all the others that are found in the world.

• 1L are characterised by consistent thinking. They strive for a result - some kind of final product, a formula - as universally applicable as possible.

• The schemes and theories that 1L make are usually laconic. They strip all which they deem unimportant and give out a sharp, coincided, somewhat dry statement. Likewise, they don't like it when other people are overloaded with facts. To bring everything into a slender form, to remove the unnecessary - that's what they aspire to.

• The memory of the 1L has the property of not storing "unnecessary" information, as by themselves they are not of interest to them, but they can on occasion link all these facts, numbers and names into a coherent scheme. The battle horse of 1L is system analysis.

• 1L sentences are distinguished by their laconicism, behind which the semantic fullness is felt. There can be many abstract nouns in their speech, since these categories are most conveniently used to generalise the experience that 1L constantly conduct. In this case, the presentation will be clear, with no frills.

• 1L have a distinctive property - the ability and need to think alone. It is important for them to get to the very essence of the matter, and for this they don't need company.

• When a thought occurs to 1L, they are able to interrupt any activity and switch to this thought. This happens even with 1L children: a child can be alone for hours and reflect, refusing to play.

• 1L are not very talkative, they don't understand at all why idle chatter is needed, because to them life is made of absolute truths. So they resort to conversing only to find out the truth.

• It is not easy to communicate with 1L, because to them there is only one correct opinion - their own. Communication with their willy-nilly will be reduced to a monologue: either very interesting or boring and unpleasant. They don't ask for someone else's opinion, they only assert their own. Even if they ask a question, it's probably rhetoric and leads to their answer. It's too difficult for them to communicate outside the affirmative form.

• 1L don't enter into every conversation. If they considerd themselves incompetent, then they'll prefer to remain silent.

• If 1L have a lecture, they prefer to prepare a speech in advance and speak only within the framework of what has been written. They can be knocked down by any comment that is irrelevant, or someone else's opinion that they weren't prepared to refute.

• If 1L realise that they're not right, it's painful. If they create a theory that turns out to be wrong, it could destroy their world. But not for long: soon they'll create a new theory, as logically consistent as possible.

• It is peculiar to 1L to think of themselves as the “kings” of the Logical world - a person who is endowed with the power of the mind. The concept 1L: "I am a thought leader, I thought everything over, and my thought should be dominant."

• The weak point of 1L is their inflexibility. Life moves forward, living standards and priorities change, and 1L remain categorically stable: they always know what is right and what is wrong. For this reason, most of the conflicts occur in their life.

• Despite the fact that the results of the thinking of 1L are usually expressed in two or three precise formulas, the thinking apparatus of 1L is very heavy. 1L are not endowed with the ability to grasp on the fly and instantly process information. They need to first think about it, then integrate it into their system of ideas, and only then make a conclusion about its correctness. In this sense, 1L are slow-witted, their brains lacking flexibility.

• The first reaction of 1L to any event is to understand what is happening, to explain the situation to oneself. It is very important for them to create a scheme according to which they can act. If something is incomprehensible or unexpected to 1L, it can seriously block their activity. Before starting any business, 1L often say: "We need to think this thorough."

• 1L are characterised by categorically in dealing with other people's thoughts and concepts. They can "crush" the interlocutor without any regard for the fact that he has his own opinion. For them, people are divided into right and wrong. The wrong must be taught. And they teach - pushing like a tank with their worldview system.

• 1L are at times poorly read, because why draw someone else's opinion from books when they have their own?

• 1L often overestimate the possibilities of their thinking. They tend not to doubt their minds and don't test their strength and sharpness. When someone asks them questions to test their abilities, they often respond dryly, as they consider it shameful to answer “I don’t know” (and add mentally: “I don’t want to know”). But give them a real task, where they're required not to know the facts, but to connect them through a logical thread - and you will get a brilliant response from them.

• In general, people with 1L are the ones who are most interested in thinking. They have their own opinion about everything. They are not always wise men and thinkers, they are not even always people of great mind. They simply tend to assert the infallible truth and disregard the superfluous opinions.

1L Subtypes 

(1) Introduction

• 1L is a result attitude: it does not pay much attention to the opinion-forming process. Knowledge should be reliable, usable, and not require a winding path to the point.

• 1L is an aggressive attitude: it forms its own opinion on an issue, and doesn't particularly look to work with others or enter their thought process.

• And 1L is a strong attitude: therefore, it is difficult for others to convince them of things, they reach their conclusions independently. But they influence others (often without meaning too), since lower L will be drawn to agree with such a confident opinion.

• For any 1L, one of the above three properties is accentuated, manifesting to a greater extent than the other two (the exact way this happens is described below). But remember, all three of these properties should still be found to type someone as 1L.

(2) Strong-1L

• You can see the strong-1L subtype come out in how they express their opinion.

• Once strong-1L believes they have a viable opinion the only possible true and correct opinion), they start to convince others of its truth.

• It is difficult for strong-1L to accept that someone may genuinely disagree with them, or that someone may truly feel that they don't have enough understanding to make a decision.

• As a result of this, strong-1L does not just share their opinion, they defeat the opinions of others. They will listen to the other person's arguments, so they can come up with rebuttals.

• This tendency toward persuasion makes strong-1L possible to confuse for 2L. But 2L genuinely is interested in discussion and in others' opinions: when 2L makes "arguments", it is skillfully on the fly.

• Strong-1L is interested in the correct opinion, though (theirs), and it wants the supremacy of their opinion established as quickly as possible. Thus their style of argument is not so free-flowing: they refer to authoritative sources, well-known facts, and practical observations, rather than soliciting input or asking genuine questions.

• Strong-1L usually comes off as more active and energetic than the other two.

(3) Aggressive-1L

• A 1L with aggressive subtype is quite disinclined to accept someone else's opinion, even if quite authoritative.

• How can you get aggressive-1L to agree with you? It is not easy. You must explain exactly how you arrived at all your conclusions and where your information came from: then they will decide for themselves whether to believe you.

• This can look like 3L, especially aggressive-3L. Still, there are differences. 3L desires dialogues where they can consider others' arguments. 3L doubts their own opinion and this leads to new discussions. But aggressive-1L will come to new conclusions alone.

• If you have proved your point to aggressive-1L, they will go and reflect on it. If they've decided to believe you: congratulations! Your new knowledge has been marked as "truth" and will not be doubted. But don't expect it to be easy.

(4) Result-1L

• A 1L with result subtype wants to understand something once and for all. Usually their explanations seem brief/low-effort; a "discussion" on a topic will often seem more like a Q+A session with an expert.

• If result-1L does not know something, they will defer to expert opinion just fine.

• Discussing a concept with result-1L is difficult. Either they will straightforwardly share everything they know, or else say something like "I don't know", "I don't understand this at all", "go ask someone else".

• It sometimes seems like result-1L is uninterested in thinking, which makes them look like a 4L. But 4L is not so concerned about matters of correctness. Result-1L still takes it very seriously: even if a source is very authoritative, result-1L will want to digest it on their own terms. They will check everything themselves: if their check reveals incorrectness, the source will be discarded.

• Result-1L usually comes off as more calm and straightforward than the other two.

2L

• 2L provoke reflection and discussion. Often, whether deservedly or not, they give the impression of a troll who mock someone else's stupidity. But in fact, 2L aren't happy with stupidity, on the contrary, they want an interesting discussion in which there are arguments and logical chains. 2L ask questions differently to find out the answer as to hear someone else's point of view and discuss it. They are disappointed by stubborn "square" interlocutors who do not appreciate the joy of thinking.

• 2L don't give out the result of their thoughts, they prefer the exchange of thoughts with the other party. Therefore, they love disputes, arguments, and communication. It's important for 2L not only to express themselves, but to listen to the reciprocal opinion, to consider it, to have an intellectual game.

• One of the properties of the 2L is to involve people in communication, in dialogue. 2L engage in the conversation professionally. They ask a question even when they know the answer perfectly. In addition, they ask for advice, explain something, repeat something, and the other party swallows this bait, feeling at this moment important and significant.

• If 2L have a monologue, they try to build it in the form of a dialogue: they argue with themselves and, unable to resist, ask the audience some questions too.

• 2L are tireless in their desire to maintain a dialogue, to talk about everything in the world. And they can do it for hours with unrelenting pleasure. At the same time, they are great both at speaking and listening.

• 2L communicate according to the principle “What I see - I sing about it”. They develop every thought that comes to their mind or arises during the course of a conversation. Enthusiasm for thought is one of the most characteristic features of 2L.

• The minds of 2L contain both universal concepts and insignificant facts. After all, communication can stem from anything - and it is important for 2L to enter into any conversation, therefore they store a lot of facts and ideas to use when possible.

• 2L are interested in practically everything that happens in the world, without dividing into "significant" and "insignificant". Both global problems and minor events - they are ready to consider everything with equal attention and interest. Since childhood, they have had a thirst for knowledge, and they scoop out everything they can from the information field that surrounds them.

• The hallmark of 2L is healthy cynicism. They don't need to have a complete picture in their head, they play with concepts and meanings. They don't know of prohibitions, dogmas, frameworks, rules - they discuss and think about everything.

• 2L think that they will change along the way. 2L don't hold absolute value to their thoughts, for they are not statements, but hypotheses. Within themselves, they don't believe in any dogma, any conviction that would keep the freedom of thought away from them. It is common for 2L people to refute today what was said yesterday.

• 2L don't put pressure on the partner, they cooperate with him. Even if the partner categorically expresses his opinion, 2L won't cut him off, won't impose their opinion in response. They can both agree and argue, but in fact, they catch his opinions like a ball, which is interesting to use for playing with intellectual muscles, and send it back as if it were a game.

• The train of thought of the 2L has tremendous speed. Information is instantly retrieved from memory, options are calculated, hypotheses are proposed.

• When communicating with the 2L, the feeling is created that the person will answer any question. Even if the 2L don't understand the subject, they can fearlessly enter into a conversation, relying only on their flexibility and freedom of mind. And if they understand the subject, then they're not afraid of any tricky question, comment and correction: they will always find something to answer.

• 2L are so confident in their ability to find the right answer to any question that they allow themselves to be careless with a word: instead of a specific word, they'll choose a harmless synonym. She may already think about something else and answer the interlocutor automatically, and after that she may not even remember that she said it.

• 2L are capable of upsetting any opponent if they try to "run over" them, but they will still try to handle their opinion with care. 2L are not offended if criticised — Their principle is: "if you know better, please tell me".

• 2L like very much when they're asked to explain something. They are able to make the most complex thoughts available to the common man. And if they don't understand something, they will explain patiently and as much as necessary, without the slightest dogmatism.

• 2L are not inclined to the written presentation of thoughts, they are interested in live communication. For a specific task, they can force themselves to sit down at the papers, but the texts look like something unfinished, like a fragment without a beginning and an end.

• The world of the 2L is a vast, endless sea of facts and concepts, where intellectual freedom reigns, where they do not impose their opinions and are always ready to listen to the answer, where the conversation has intrinsic value, and where it does not matter when the point is made.

2L Subtypes

(1) Strong-2L subtype

• Strong-2L is confident in their opinions and difficult to convince.

• They are great at teaching and explaining: they will give examples and properly control the pace.

• They are also good writers of articles, books, and papers: they will have an interesting and layered argument where concepts form together in a pleasing way.

• Strong-2L doesn't usually like interacting with others as equals in logical discussions: their natural default is to see themselves as "teacher" and the person they're talking to as "student". This naturally leads to being easily mistaken for 1L.

• Still, strong-2L makes more mental space for others' point of view. If strong-2L thinks someone is wrong, they feel obligated to actually convince the other person, to not just leave them with delusions. 1L, in comparison, would just think "what does it matter who has what opinion: I know mine is correct, but obviously you can't convince everyone".

• Also, strong-2L will cover more ground in their reasoning, leading to longer arguments: the reason for this is they want to make it easy for the other person to change their mind internally. They want to put in the necessary bells and whistles to seem credible (referring to something well-known, giving their own resume, noting when important figures agree with them).

• Strong-2L is the most stubborn of the subtypes

(2) Introduction

• 2L is a process attitude: they devote frequent attention to the formation of their own and others' views. They love to exchange opinions, discuss various topics, maybe debate.

• 2L is a passive attitude: others' opinions are more interesting than their own. They may not really know their opinion on a particular topic, and even if they do they can change their view easily.

• 2L is a strong attitude: they feel empowered to engage logically whenever they want. If 2L does not wish to be convinced, they will not be (they will find new arguments and present new information that miraculously supports their point). They enjoy convincing others, even more so if their interlocutor seems fully engaged in the details and subtleties.

• These three properties form the heart of how 2L is portrayed, but not all 2Ls act the same. Some of this can be explained by subtypes.

(3) Process-2L subtype

• Process-2L loves discussions, even aimless ones. Even if their conversation partner seems kind of apathetic and wants the conversation to end (this happens often enough with result-L), it is hard to turn off the thirst for explanations.

• Process-2L is willing to discuss or question almost anything: what they're less willing to do is be silent. It's painful if a person does not seem to listen to their thoughts and reasoning.

• They tend to be verbose, spending hours rambling about whatever's in their head (improvising to stay relevant to the thread of conversation).

• Process-2L usually likes public speaking: it's a way to share the thoughts that bounce around their head all day every day.

• Similarly, if process-2L can write, they may get "graphomania". They can't stop! Even with a negative reaction they can't stop!

• Process-2L may look like 3L because they are skeptical of conventional wisdom and often challenge it, and also tend to challenge things others put forth authoritatively.

• Unlike 3L, process-2L is not so afraid of being wrong, and will not lose confidence in their point just because someone disagrees. (Instead, the objector will usually either be seen as stubborn or unintelligent).

• This is the most talkative subtype.

(4) Passive-2L subtype

• Passive-2L wants people to understand each other. They can act as a "translator", helping people find common ground by explaining what they *really* meant.

• Unlike the other subtypes, passive-2L does not insist on their own opinions: they will not debate unless it feels constructive.

• They admit the existence of different points of view: usually they do not bother to prove their case, but if they must, they will do it kindly and carefully.

• This tendency toward hiding their opinion makes passive-2L seem like 4L. But they can be distinguished: passive-2L is more interested in people's opinions, and will be more likely to prompt discussion and expression of viewpoints.

• Also, passive-2L is still a process attitude, if you ask them to explain something, they will try their best and probably enjoy it (where 4L finds this boring: they want something tied up neatly, not something requiring analysis and reflection).

• Passive-2L is the subtype that is most likely to quote and cite others.

3L

• 3L people, like with any Third function, are characterised by duality. They are inclined to deny the ability of a person to know the world with the help of reason and describe it with logic, and at the same time, they passionately worship the mind, envy someone else's intellect and someone else's ability to describe the world with the help of formulas.

• 3L question everything, are ready to dispute any information - and at the same time are looking for the truth more than anything else.

• Due to its subtlety, 3L are able to see the slightest logical inconsistencies. They will not miss the smallest break in a logical chain.

• Owners of 3L are the most curious people in the world. They strive to know all aspects of being as accurately as possible. The world seems too complicated for them to understand it completely even though it is precisely what they most want. Such people study a lot, read - so as not to be made fools, not to make a mistake in some trifle. They ponder questions that others would not have thought of.

• 3L love to get to the bottom of things, even with rhetorical questions they want to know the exact answer and write down the most detailed "logical" instructions. They often ask paradoxical questions, interested in the inner essence of things. They love to bring every position to the point of absurdity.

• 3L are characterised by aversion to all kinds of categorical judgments. The problem is that most of the time 3L don't dare to raise sharp disputes, especially with those who are able to put them in their place with two or three phrases.

• If 3L get into a discussion, they do it in order to assert themselves, and so as to not lose face, they prefer to think over everything in advance. But in the heat of an argument, they remain in constant readiness to curtail communication or even resort to manipulation.

• Realisation of oneself in the sphere of intellectual communication is a source of stress for 3L. To hide their fear from others, they strike into denial of everything that is possible (i.e. scepticism), which is a good way to absolve oneself of responsibility. They'll make others try to prove that A is A and B is B, and they'll ask provocative opposing questions.

• There is another benefit to this behaviour. 3L desperately want to come off as very intelligent people and are afraid of being called a "fool" more than anything else. When 3L start to quibble and deny, they look very smart. And at the same time, the responsibility for the result is completely shifted onto others.

• 3L can defend themselves not only with denial and withdrawal into logical twists, but also through attempts to end the conversation with phrases like: "Stop blabbering" and "Let's not talk about it." If this doesn't help, then they will become silent and pretend that they don't hear anything. It may seem to others that they're neglecting them, but they're actually experiencing mental pain.

• The safest thing for 3L is to have a leisurely conversation rather than a debate, where they don't need to strain themselves and therefore there is no reason to hear the offensive "You are a fool, you do not understand anything and cannot explain."

• 3L are interlocutors who love to “sit on their ears”. They love idle chatter, conversations "about nothing" - after all, it is in such exchanges that one can enjoy the process, and it doesn't matter if it leads anywhere. At every opportunity, they try to strike up a dialogue in which they will ask many questions and argue on the most insignificant reasons. With this, they can bring their interlocutors to white heat.

• These are people who get the highest pleasure when they learn something, prove a point, sort it out, endure new knowledge. 3L enjoy the very process of formulating thoughts, they savour words, themselves wondering how they add up to logical conclusions. They can go over the words for hours and revel in the subtle play of meanings with a partner who maintains such a dialogue.

• 3L have two favourite topics of conversation. The first is the denial of the need for reason in the knowledge of the world: 3L are ready to prove the inconsistency of a topic for hours. The second is a discussion of various speculative issues, where it is impossible to come to an unambiguous opinion: they will be happy to be sophisticated in considering the most incredible possibilities and not come to anything concrete in the end.

• 3L are the opponents of simple solutions. If it is possible to solve a problem in both a simple and a complex way, 3L will definitely give preference to the complex one. A simple solution would lead to a result; for 3L the ongoing process is most important.

• The greatest difficulty for 3L is to assemble a consistent system out of all the facts known to it and to prioritise it. The mind of 3L is arranged in such a way that it is difficult to prioritise information: all the facts seem to be equal to each other, they find it difficult to give preference to one over the other.

• 3L are bad speakers. For them, transforming thoughts into words is a double stress: first, it is difficult for them to think clearly, and second, the connection between thought and speech is also somewhat broken for them. Often 3L move away from the main thought, lose it and can no longer return. And all this is accompanied by a painful feeling of failure.

• At the same time, it's important for them to be understood. For this, they are ready to do a lot. Their well-being depends on this, on this basis they build relationships. This is their "Achilles heel", a vulnerable spot.

• 3L love all sorts of crosswords, tests, logic problems. In particular, it helps them to safely test their own knowledge and usefulness.

• 3L collect knowledge in order to flash it somewhere and they are very proud of it. If the Third Logic failed to realise itself in life as a person of great intelligence, it can be proud of the intellectual successes of its children and take each of their achievements as its own merit.

• 3L like to teach others, and they can do it for a long time and tediously, both in speech and in writing.

• 3L are prone to mysticism and superstition. This is for her an attempt to find a replacement for the rational principle for explaining the world. She often believes in omens and tries to literally follow the instructions given by various sorcerers and mystics.

• Well developed 3L are wonderful, very interesting interlocutors who are able to consider each phenomenon from a myriad of different sides, find flaws in other people's statements and ask questions that expand the frame of the world of others.

• In general, the world of the 3L is a tangled world of logical constructions, in which the endless process of formulating, proving and sorting out thoughts is the greatest pleasure, and the word "fool" is the greatest insult. They do not tolerate categorical statements and are always ready to answer: "No, this is not so." The Third Logic does not allow the mind to calm down. Communicating with the Third Logic, you understand that not all questions still have answers, that there is still something to think about.

3L Subtypes

(1) Aggressive-3L subtype

• Aggressive-3L aims to form their own opinion, that accurately reflects reality. If aggressive-3L is unsure if they have obtained objectivity, then they are in no hurry to share what they know.

• Better to listen to others and gradually start to draw conclusions. Taking into account all points of view gives the most complete picture.

• This self-focus and unwillingness to share can make aggressive-3L look like 1L. To distinguish, consider whether they formed their opinions independently or with others' help.

• 3L is happy when others give helpful explanations, because they can start to drown in their own mental constructions. They'll be especially pleased if you don't just share a conclusion but the whole chain of reasoning that got you there.

• 1L in comparison will care more about the views of respected authorities and rigorous studies than the views of you, the person talking to them, even if you are being very helpful and what you're saying sounds plausible.

• A similarity that aggressive-3L does have with 1L: compared to the other 3L subtypes, they are the most restrained and quiet.

(2) Process-3L subtype

• Process-3L prefers to gain knowledge through conversation; they enjoy discussions. Even if they don't participate, they like being in the room.

• But usually they do participate: they're less afraid of looking incompetent than the other subtypes, so they're more talkative and willing to defend their views. If someone else's arguments are convincing, it's not hard to admit they're wrong.

• Process-3L enjoys sharing their knowledge and their vision, even if it can seem unstructured. They have a broad outlook and enjoy learning.

• What is the difference between process-3L and 2L? 3L is still an aggressive attitude (Andre note: it seems like this site's conception of 1/3 vs 2/4 is the biggest difference from AP framing thus far), 3L motivation for entering a discussion is to develop its own understanding.

• 2L is less looking to form its own opinion, more interested in convincing, giving arguments, explaining. If arguments prove a 3L wrong, they will doubt and reflect. If arguments prove a 2L wrong, they will reflexively come up with other arguments.

• But still, process-3L subtype is certainly the least sensitive to criticism, and the most inquisitive.

(3) Introduction

• 3L is a process attitude: it spends much time in reflection and discussion, wants to share opinions with others, and listens to others' points of view.

• 3L is an aggressive attitude: its primary aim is to make a correct judgment that corresponds to reality (others' explanations serve this end). It does not matter as much if they convince others that they are correct, more that they are confident in being right internally.

• 3L is a weak attitude: it does not often reach a place of conviction and becomes easily thrown into doubt. They are torn between a desire for benevolent help with their reasoning, and a fear that they will be considered stupid or incompetent. Therefore they are wary of freely expressing their thoughts.

• These three properties lead to three 3L subtypes.

(4) Weak-3L subtype

• Compared to other 3L subtypes, weak-3L is more accepting of others' influence in discussions and in formation of views.

• If weak-3L's conversation partner has obvious competence and proficiency, weak-3L is inclined to agree with them (even if an explanation is short).

• Later, weak-3L will develop doubts again: then they will have another conversation with someone "knowledgeable" and the doubt will disappear.

• What happens when several high-L people prove contradictory points convincingly? This is alarming! Weak-3L does not want to be burdened with the responsibility of deciding which point is correct, to carry around this doubt.

• Yes, this sounds like 4L. But 4L is not going to change their minds as much, because they are not as interested in getting to the heart of a problem. When 4L *does* change their minds, it is not so much of a problem to discard the old thoughts.

• But any 3L, even weak-3L, must understand the entire phenomenon, whatever it takes, which gives them a feeling of uncertainty and inferiority.

• So paradoxically, weak-3L is both the most flexible of the subtypes, and the most insecure.

4L

• 4L people are not interested in spending their lives on intellectual labour and searching for meaning. They sincerely do not care about the truth, the main thing is for it to work. The breadth and wealth of mental activity can not be expected from the,. Such a person will learn as much as is required for the realisation of his higher-standing functions.

• 4L is characterised by clarity, simplicity and laconic presentation of thoughts. Such people have a very methodical mind that throws away everything that is unnecessary. If a thought is incomprehensible to a 4L person, they will simply forget about it so as not to be overwhelmed.

• 4L speak as they think, in short, as they complete phrases. Their speech flows without difficulty, but is often chaotic, tense and inconsistent.

• It's difficult for 4L to think in abstract categories. When they do this, it feels like they are using words that they don't understand. They usually try to be as specific as possible.

• Usually 4L are able to consider only a separate fact, without its connection with other ones. System analysis comes to them with great difficulty.

• The ideology of 4L has little to do with their life. They can assert anything - but absolutely not follow it. Here life is separate from thought. In this sense, the reasoning of the 4L is best trusted with great care.

• 4L are able to think independently, but the inclusion of intellect occurs only in the moment of need for a decision, under the pressure of external circumstances. They will not unnecessarily strain the brain. By virtue of their effectiveness, they try to follow the quickest path, and where serious intellectual efforts are required, it is easier for them to trust the authority that they choose for themselves.

• Any information coming from outside is absolutely unreliable to the 4L. From the point of view of the 4L, they should collect the opinions of people with a higher standing Logic. Which they successfully do, collecting advice before making an important decision.

• 4L believe what those "who understand" tell it. They themselves cannot play with theories. They may have its own system of worldview, but it's not fundamental for them. In order not to "steam", it is easier for the 4L to accept a ready-made system - religious, philosophical, vital. At the same time, of all theories, 4L choose the simplest and most understandable.

• It is common for the 4L to be "infected" with someone else's truth, but this may not be for long - as long as they are in contact with a person telling them his truth. When there is another interlocutor nearby - the Fourth Logic can also sincerely share his ideas.

• 4L are characterised by idle curiosity. They can be interested in a variety of things, read many books, and communicate with people of very different views. And everywhere they will be interested for some time, and they'll take all this as her own.

• 4L can easily develop other people's views and take part in any conversations, they aren't afraid of blows to the Logic and even direct doubts about her mental capabilities. Therefore, they are completely free in their self-expression.

• 4L don't put pressure on their opinion, even they give irrefutable and very thoughtful proofs. They can press on the higher functions of her psychotype.

• 4L are the most tenacious. They can adapt to any regime, any leader, any spouse, any boss, and will follow them, finding a lot of reasonableness in their arguments, and sincerely agreeing with them.

• One of the weaknesses of 4L people is the inability to function in stressful situations. In these cases, the ability to think is simply "turned off", the person is seized with panic and cannot make an informed decision.

• Even if the stress is not very strong, their ability to think is blocked, and they begin to rely on their upper functions — according to Logic, they're led by those who will lead them at that moment.

• Being 4L doesn't mean having a lack of mind. 4L people can be very smart: the overwhelming majority of the world's population are 4L. And among them are many people whom we deservedly consider to be great thinkers.

4L subtypes

(1) Result-4L subtype

• For result-4L, a good opinion is one that does not need to be rethought. They are uncomplicated in this area: they do not become involved in disputes and discussions. Either they know, or they don't know, and that's that.

• Result-4L does not wish to make assumptions. They listen to others' thoughts, which they either reject or accept as fact.

• If result-4L views a person as an authority, and/or the thought is expressed briefly and confidently, the second outcome becomes far more likely.

• And if not, convincing result-4L is really tough. If you give good reasoning, it basically doesn't even matter, they won't be listening too closely.

• In this way they resemble 1L. But 1L does genuinely have an opinion, which they thought about carefully and can express confidently.

• Whereas a 4L's opinions are formed mostly by the views of others. If you need to convince result-4L of something, don't start prompting them to independent thoughts. Instead say your point with confidence (or mention a good source if they won't find you personally credible). This will work better.

• Conveying an idea to result-4L that does not fit into their current understanding can be challenging, but the flip side is that success is lasting.

• Result-4L has the most stable worldview of any of the subtypes

(2) Passive-4L subtype

• Passive-4L is actively interested in others' opinions. They are open to new knowledge and do not prevent others' expression of viewpoints.

• You will often hear passive-4L say things like "what do you think about x?" or "he said y, do you agree?" They will also get involved in such discussions themselves.

• This gives them more of a 2L flavor. The difference is that 2L does not want to merely form an opinion, but wants to discuss it, unpack how another person got to their conclusions, engage in reflection together, play with evidence.

• But passive-4L is interested in others' opinions because they are interested in reliable knowedge. If several experts agree, that is notable, regardless of how they got there.

• To passive-4L, proving a viewpoint's correctness is about "where did this come from": thoughts beyond this are fundamentally uninteresting. Passive-4L has a model of the world where the necessary knowledge is already sitting there and it just needs to be found.

• Thus, if presenting their own opinion, they frame it as an unconditional fact that everyone should know. You will convince them otherwise only if you are clearly more competent or have more credible sources.

• Compared to the other subtypes, passive-4L is more curious and inclined to dialogue.

(4) Weak-4L subtype

• The weak-4L subtype is the easiest to persuade. You don't even need an argument: a rumor is enough to shake their confidence.

• They are often very doubtful, like a 3L. But they are not like a 3L in all ways. 3L wants full proof, detail, to be asked what they themselves think. A certain level of doubt is viewed as natural, even good.

• But a weak-4L is not much worried about this area, they are not bothered by a possible lack of knowledge. They do not wish to waste too much time reflecting, if an explanation sounds good enough they'll take it in.

• Their requirements are not prohibitively high, so there is a wider range of acceptable authorities than the other 4L subtypes.

• Compared to the other subtypes, weak-4L is the most agreeable and trusting.

(4) Introduction

• 4L is a result attitude: it is not interested in how you formed your opinion, it wants to extract the knowledge and apply it. Thus 4L does not want to explain their viewpoints, preferring authoritative opinions and direct observation to involved reasoning.

• 4L is a passive attitude: it does not need to promote its own opinion (or sometimes even to have one). Others' thoughts and knowledge are also viewed as interesting. Thus 4L often succumbs to others' opinions, like a sponge, absorbing everything (it's also a weak attitude).

• Which one of these (result, passive, weak) comes out most strongly, determines subtype.

Emotion(E)

Emotion shows your emotional component in your behavior, how exactly you tend to show emotions and emotionally interact with other people, how much energy do you have on emotions and how strong your emotional-aesthetic perception of the world is. The position of Emotion is important for any profession related to art and for any area where emotional communication with people is needed. Michael Jackson and many famous musicians have strong psychosophic Emotion.

Emotion (Soul) E

“The world of emotions and moods. Awareness of its own emotional state or others, artistic interests, reaction, facial expressions, emotional expressiveness.”

1E

• To people with 1E the strongest experiences are associated with the emotional sphere. Such people consider it normal to experience feelings 200%, it doesn't matter whether it's joy or sorrow. Their emotions don't necessarily manifest externally, as they may try to restrain them, but inside they are bright and strong and they live by them.

• To 1E it's not so important whether there is someone nearby, they can live alone with emotions. Sometimes they don't need anyone to rejoice or cry. It also happens that if there are people nearby, 1E express their emotions without looking back, they don't care if others "like" or approve of their emotional manifestation.

• 1E subconsciously believe that if someone doesn't share their feelings, they will be able to tell. They set an emotional framework and are ready to either extend them to everyone or move them out of the way if necessary.

• 1E don't always strive for emotional interaction. They may even miss the emotional response of their partner, and if they notice sometimes they may neglect them.

• The feelings that 1E express in a fit of passion or anger may not touch the real person who caused them at all. These feelings are important to them in and of itself, and they express them for themselves, making the other a spectator.

• When they express their feelings, 1E believe in them, feel them and therefore they don't lie. But they move away from these feelings just as quickly as they were lit up.

• With all the strength of the emotional intensity, 1E don't strive for a prolonged outpour of feelings. The main thing for them to express themselves is to come to a result. However, their expression of feelings can be taken as a process for the reason that it has a lot of feelings, and it can jump from one to another for a sufficiently long time.

• The expression of 1E can look like theatrical roles, beautiful paintings, photographs, poetry, music, or... tears, laughter, incoherent streams of words. Here genius and madness lay very close to each other.

• To 1E feelings are the highest criterion in making decisions, such as whether to be with a person, to do a certain business, to buy a thing, to live in a city, etc. They can be very quick to make decisions in the heat of the moment.

• Given that their emotions are strong and sharp, 1E people are very susceptible to external stimuli, so being under different ones they can say completely different things. To mature they need to learn to restrain these.

• 1E people may sometimes ask tactless questions, invading other people's feelings without asking. Or say things that hurt others, to which they usually don't think it necessary to apologise for.

• 1E usually have large, radiant eyes that seem to glow from the inside, and sometimes throw lightning. They have a very expressive face and exaggerated gestures, and tend to laugh out loud, which sometimes resembles a cackle. They love to dress brightly, to wear something unusual, unexpected.

• In their speech there are many figurative expressions, comparisons, metaphors. Moreover, it can be both elating and melancholic, where the transition is often very quick, almost seamless.

• 1E are excellent starters of arousal in the opposite sex - the glitter in the eyes sparked by passion - all this is transmitted to the partner and initiates love. They don't even have to do something on purpose, it's enough to be themselves. Because of this, sometimes 1E people have fast-flowing romances.

• 1E are drawn to mysticism. They prioritise trusting their gut feelings and premonitions more than anything else. Faith is not just a word for them, they tend to sincerely believe in anything that they “feel” to be true (which is often accurate, but the rest of the time an inflated reality).

• 1E seek to romanticise everything that's possible, including their own view of the world, which they try to paint for themselves in a more colourful way. Even if the phenomena of life have a strict scientific basis, 1E still try to add to it an element of artistry, mysticism, mystery. It would be boring for them to live in a world that could only be explained by dry formulas.

• In childhood, 1E were characterised by overt tearfulness or gaiety. Although this is a normal reaction to crises and external pressure for such a child, it is rarely understood by others and they might've heard people refer to them as "crybabies" or "hysterical", which they were hurt by.

• In a critical situation where the First function is turned on first, if 1E are mature they'll resort to their other functions, or else it will look like an emotional tantrum.

• Their world is generally colourful, stormy, deeply expressive and artistic, similar to a constantly heaving ocean.

1E subtypes

(1) Base-1E subtype

• 1E is a result attitude: it wants to remain in its current emotional state for as long as possible, and reacts poorly to changes in the emotions of others (because it does not track them and is not interested in them).

• 1E is an aggressive attitude: it has more interest in its own emotions and feelings than those of others. They love to dive into their own emotional world.

• 1E is a strong attitude: it touches the environment with its emotions, influences the general atmosphere, does not allow itself to be influenced easily by others.

• One of these manifestations usually shows up more than the others, which leads to three different subtypes.

(2) Strong-1E subtype

• Strong-1E is highly inclined to induce certain emotional states in themselves: for example, they may remember a past event and find themselves charged with emotions from that memory.

• Strong-1E is confident in the emotional color of what they are experiencing, and strives to share this with the world. They want to influence others' feelings somehow (often through creative means).

• But unlike a 2E, strong-1E is mostly interested in conveying their own emotional state, not discussing the emotional states of others.

• Strong-1E is the most sociable subtype, the most inclined to emotional exchange

(3) Aggressive-1E subtype

• Aggressive-1E is immersed in their own inner world, attentive to their own emotional state. They may seem secretive to others since they do not tend to share their emotional experiences.

• They enjoy being alone with their own feelings, their favorite music, a good book, a movie. Therefore aggressive-1E is the least similar subtype to the classic 1E (depicted as violently manifesting its emotions in an immediately noticeable way).

• But it is still 1E and not 3E (even though 3E also goes deeply into itself), because of its reluctance to change its emotional state upon prompts from others.

• Aggressive-1E is the most closed-off subtype.

(4) Result-1E subtype

• Result-1E does not analyze its emotions: the emotions seem to be outside result-1E's field of attention, so regulating behavior is difficult.

• Result-1E cries when they feel like crying, laugh when they feel like laughing, and no attempt to cope with these impulses will hold these emotions back. It is difficult for them to calm down and change their emotional direction.

• They stay in the same emotional space for a long time and may feel hurt if someone tries to get them to enter a different one. They do not know how to switch emotions and do not like doing this, because they cannot trace where the emotions came from.

• Unlike result-4E, result-1E does share its feelings and is not easily influenced by the emotions of others.

• Result-1E is the most likely 1E subtype to vent.

2E

• 2E provoke reactions and the clarification of relationships. They encourage acting in other people. 2E, like 2L, often "troll" people to get an interesting reaction out of them. They like to pull frankness out of people without promising anything. Often their style of communication is similar to endless flirting. To enthral a person and then reveal to want only friendship is their favourite game.

• 2E have the ability to express emotions only to the extent that it is adequate to the situation: no more, no less. When the situation changes, they're able to change their state almost instantly. They innately own the technique of emotional transformation.

• The undoubted advantage of the 2E is their mastery of the word, and they can use it for both praise and criticism. In almost any situation, they know how to find the right words to "hook" and to please. They use emotions as a tool of influence, both positive and negative. They're not only emotional, but influence others through it.

• 2E seek to convey emotional states with maximum accuracy, avoiding false comparisons and hyperboles. If they're writing a letter or a story, then they'll try to choose the words so that they are all as appropriate as possible.

• 2E are capable of impromptu, associated with emotional vocabulary. They won't be able to make a "smart" speech without preparation, but to pronounce a deeply felt one.

• 2E are able to feel the mood of their audience and flexibly respond to it, choosing the necessary formulations and psychological techniques. They make good speakers.

• The strength and richness of the emotional structure are a natural property of the 2E. In addition, they seek to constantly enrich their palette - they sensitively pick up all the shades of emotions that they hear, remember them and then reproduce them as needed, feeling satisfaction by playing with emotional strings.

• In addition to emotional states, 2E collect stories, anecdotes, poems, drinking songs - they tend to constantly process various kinds of artistic information. The mature 2E possess a huge range of moods with which they can charge other people, lead them from one state to another, being on the same wavelength as them.

• It's not at all necessary that 2E experience all the feelings that they demonstrate, for they do this not for themselves, but for the public. To them it's important to share emotions, exchange them with people. They love to sing and dance for others, they can especially memorise poems in order to read them later so that everyone gasps.

• Such people measure any emotional expression with the answer of the interlocutor. They like to build an emotional dialogue, receive an answer, and create a bond game.

• 2E take care of other people's emotions. Unless necessary, they won't offend anyone, and if a person feels bad then they feel a natural desire to support and cheer them up.

• Feeling well about the emotional state of other people, 2E can even take care of them to their own detriment. They often “forget” their own feelings and are carried away by supporting others. They do it completely disinterestedly, as they find a healing element in this.

• Often they become the “soul of society" that creates an emotional atmosphere, both joyful and sad. 2E experience a vital need in the process of love: to love and to be loved and to know that this will always be so - this is their lasting desire.

• In the behaviour of 2E, a certain mannerism, artificiality and sugary-ness can be observed. But in general, these are very charming people.

• The second function is the best side of the human person - in the case of 2E, the best side of a person is the ability for emotional compassion, acting, and mastering the word.

2E subtypes

(1) Strong-2E subtype

• Strong-2E is more straightforward than the other subtypes. They are very emotional, have difficulty restraining themselves, and pour out their feelings on others in a stormy stream.

• They like to talk about strangers, and about their own feelings, to open their soul and get closer to others. Typically strong-2E is engaged in some sort of expressive creativity like music or dance, and is interested in others' artistic creations. You will often hear quotes like "listen to this song, it's so cool!" or "look at how they dance in this video, it's so amazing!" Sometimes they write poetry or prose, in which case it's very important that others read it and become inspired.

• This behavior leads to a certain suppression of others' feelings, which gives a feel of 1E. But strong-2E has a tireless and conscious interaction between their own feelings and those of others (for example, analyzing emotions to understand where they came from and how to express them accurately).

• Also strong-2E is still looking for feedback: it's important for them not just to experience their own feelings, but to share them and get an appropriataae response. While 1E accepts their emotional experiences as they are, not digging into them.

• Strong-2E is the most expressive and vivid subtype.

(2) Base-2E subtype

• 2E is a process attitude: it keeps its own and others feelings in its sphere of attention. They are interested in talking about these feelings and expressing them through various creative forms. 2E does not only worry about the realization of their own talent, but also the response of others to their creations.
• 2E is a passive attitude: often the feelings of others are more interesting than 2E's own feelings. 2E loves to observe others' emotional manifestations, to liberate them, to open their inner world if shy.
• 2E is a strong attitude: it seeks to influence  others emotionally, create an atmosphere, does not have problems using this for either good or ill.
• Thus, three subtypes.

(3) Process-2E subtype

• Process-2E has a romantic view of the world (which may include dark colors or light ones). They see a sort of mystery in everything and like to dramatize what is happening.

• Process-2E loves long conversations about feelings, relational games, subtle flirting. They don't like it when everything is obvious, when all emotions lie on the surface: such people seem uninteresting and interest in them fades quickly. But they love secretive people with a deep and contradictory inner world.

• They do not present their feelings directly, but instead often avoid weighing in, which can make others doubt their sincerity. This complication may seem 3E-ish, but 3E does this because they have emotional complexes, while process-2E does it for fun. 3E hides experiences not for fun or influence but for fear of being misunderstood and difficulty "acting natural".

• Process-2E is the most mysterious and controversial subtype.

(4) Passive-2E subtype

• Passive-2E is warm and soulful. They do not like "heating up" an interpersonal emotional situation, and will do everything possible to avoid anyone feeling embarrassed.

• People are drawn to passive-2E because they inspire confidence and a feeling of comfort. Passive-2E is not characterized by intense emotional self-expression, rather their feelings are soft and pleasant for the sake of others.

• If they feel dislike or indifference toward someone else (which happens often, since many desire communication with passive-2E), they try not to demonstrate this directly. If the person is genuinely too intrusive, passive-2E will be able to reject them, but will do so politely and courteously to avoid hurt feelings.

• This calm and equanimity can make passive-2E look like 4E. But passive-2E is still a strong attitude, it affects others and creates an atmosphere around itself, which attracts people.

• While 4E is dependent on the atmosphere created by others: there is no aura of warmth surrounding 4E.

• Passive-2E is the most comfortable and inviting 2E subtype.

3E

• Within 3E, as with any Third function, there is a duality. Outwardly they barely show emotions, but inside they feel a mighty potential. It may seem that they are completely indifferent, unphased, while in fact they burn with feeling and suffer from the fact that they cannot express these.

• 3E are sensitive to the emotions of others and are defenceless in front of emotional pressure. They are afraid of violent expression of feelings, of tantrums, and are completely lost in situations when they're forced to react to them. In addition, they're afraid of emotional pain and suffering that they cannot bear.

• In close communication, and even more so in life, 3E are often perceived as impenetrable people: their partner often can't understand their feelings. They’re friendly, but at the same time they constantly keep their distance. It's difficult to guess what feelings they're experiencing, even direct questions don't help - this is very painful for those who crave emotional dialogue.

• The critical question for 3E is distance or closeness in a relationship: they want intimacy, but put on a mask of indifference. There is little something wrong in the interaction - it closes immediately. When they are imposed on, they reproach. On one hand they always reach out to where they can receive emotions, and on the other they're afraid to manifest them.

• The dream of any 3E is to open up and express: they're afraid that the outside world will not appreciate and support them, but they still wish for it since they can only get the greatest pleasure from emotional self-expression. Since this is difficult, they tend to seek a false release in hedonism, by lingering in sadness or even in work.

• 3E actually really like to talk about feelings, sorting them out to the smallest shades, experiencing each as fully as possible, and wishing they could do it more. If they're asked to remember something pleasant they'll remember, savouring every detail, even the most seemingly insignificant ones.

• As children, 3E are considered ideal: they rarely cry and don't complain about anything, therefore parents are relieved of the need to reckon with their feelings. But if they're clamped down since childhood, they will grow even more sensitive and painfully incapable of openly expressing feelings.

• Alcohol is one of the few means that allows 3E to be liberated - and as one might expect, as soon as the effect of alcohol ends they return to their squeezed, closed state, in which they're in most of the time.

• The most difficult question for 3E is “Tell me how you feel” and “How do you feel about this?”. They don't fully understand their feelings: they can say that they love, and immediately begin to doubt it. It is important for them to confirm their own experiences in the process of dialogue with others. For 3E love is an interaction, during which people understand that they love each other.

• Like any Third function, they're constantly in search of themselves and testing their own feelings. Such people can pursue careers that look into the depths of other people's souls - paths such as making music, becoming actors, or even

• Sometimes they decide an outpour of feelings. They wish to say “I love you!”, like 1E do, to start crying is a very sweet release to them. In the few occasions they manage to expose their feelings genuinely, it looks very unusual and even somewhat desperate. But they can learn.

• 3E are characterised by contemplation. They love nature because it's safe there. For them, being alone is important, it’s where they can recover. They also love animals, and they usually reciprocate it. All of this is a consequence of the difficulty in expressing love towards people.

• 3E can be amiable, especially agreeable in situations where they feel at risk. In society, these are nice people who smile at everyone. 3E seek to charm people so that they love and cherish them. For this, they are ready for a lot, including giving in, pleasing and surrendering their interests, if it doesn't work out differently. Fortunately, it rarely comes to that. It is safe to say that 3E build relationships only with those who love them, and ignore those who don’t.

• Almost everyone is able to charm 3E. This is a very strong side of them. They continue to be loved long after the relationship is over, sometimes all their life. 3E are remembered in the team, even if they quit many years ago. They are always remembered as sincere people.

• The main disadvantage of 3E is a large number of masks and all kinds of protections. Delving deeper under their masks, they can begin to manipulate people (voluntarily or not). Often, instead of defending their emotional manifestations, they twist the situation, act offended and guilt-trip others. They may use this technique in the event that a person betrays their feelings, but sometimes even when they are at fault, as self-defence.

• 3E love to draw out a declaration of love from others, even if in that moment they are overwhelmed by feelings, they still try to relieve themselves of responsibility for them, to transfer it entirely to another person. They let you confess, will deeply appreciate it, then the next moment make fun of it. But 3E perform such manipulations mostly unconsciously. From within, they don't view them as such.

• The "fig leaf" of the 3E is irony. They are characterised by the irony of the world (the ability to find a reason to ridicule everything).

• 3E have an innate humorous gift. They are inclined to say sharp jokes and be ironic about all sorts of phenomena of life, especially those that are distinguished by pretentiousness, and they do this with an absolutely imperturbable look. They value subtle humour, that hatches barely noticeable smiles.

• 3E involuntarily underestimate even very bright events. They don't tolerate excessive pathos, pretentiousness in the expression of feelings, and in their manifestations of emotions they try not to allow anything of the kind. They prefer to suffer and love in silence than to go too far with feelings. They tend to pull back on other people and are hurt by everything too loud, both in colours and in the expression of deeply-felt feeling outpours.

• People with 3E are often distinguished by an even tone, a monotonous intonation, somewhat similar to mumbling. Because of their reduced expressivity, their speech is somewhat plain and they display few facial expressions and few gestures.

• The most striking external sign of 3E is the impossibility of a wide open smile and laughter in a full voice. The smile comes out strained, the laugh is stifled, more like a giggle.

• In general, the world of 3E is of muted colours and halftones. External connectedness is only a shell behind which the realm of strong experiences is hidden. Love means so much to them that the fear of losing it eventually forces 3E to fight for it (which would help them mature). They value a kind word and really appreciate a warm attitude. Most of all, they are afraid of hearing: "You are a stale biscuit, you have no feelings." Although they may sneer and mock and view life through inverted binoculars, what they really wish is to just gently purr about everything in the world.

3E Subtypes

(1) Aggressive-3E subtype

• Aggressive-3E is more immersed in its own world than the other subtypes. They are in no hurry to throw out their emotions to surrounding people. When in a bad mood, aggressive-3E retreats to their own inner world and does not respond much to help.

• It is very difficult for aggressive-3E to let go of resentment or anger, even if the offender makes attempts to repair the relationship. They need time to come to terms with the negativity they had to endure in the past.

• When aggressive-3E is in company with others, they rarely blend into the general mood, usually seeming detached instead. While they have emotional outbursts like all 3Es are inclined to, they are relatively rare: but when the outbursts do happen, they are intense and terrifying.

• Because of aggressive-3E's limited inclination to social contact, they may look like 1E, but 1E is not too inclined to dig through their feelings, while aggressive-3E will do this even if nobody is available to help. They spend much energy on how others see them, what impression they have made, how to cope with their emotions.

• Aggressive-3E is the most closed-off and restrained 3E subtype.

(2) Process-3E subtype

• Process-3E is more inclined than the other subtypes to sort things out, to have extended intimate conversations about feelings. They easily make contact with others even if they've had past negative experiences with that person.

• It is difficult for process-3E to imagine their life with interaction with others: each new relationship gives them pleasant excitement. They enjoy looking for hints and hidden meanings in others' words and actions. They also may generate conflict in order to get a certain emotional response.

• Process-3E realizes itself well in art, amateur performances, and working directly with people. In this way it is like 2E, who is also interested in emotional interaction and finds realization in this sphere.

• But 2E is free, while process-3E is much more "tight", which makes it more likely that their feelings and interest in people are manifested in the form of short-term outbursts followed by regret and shame.

• Process-3E fears appearing inappropriate and often doubts the impression they made.

• Process-3E is the most sociable and creative 3E subtype.

(3) Introduction

• 3E is a process attitude, paying much attention to its own and others' emotions, how they are formed and expressed.

• 3E is an aggressive attitude, focused mostly on its own experiences, immersed in its inner emotional world.

• 3E is a weak attitude, easily influenced. It is easy to hurt 3E, which is unfortunate because they cannot cope with resentment or sadness very well on their own, not being in easy control of their own emotional state. It is also difficult for them to exert an emotional impact on others by creating a particular atmosphere. But they can support the general fun if they feel "on the same wavelength" with others.

• Let's look at these three tendencies in detail.

(4) Weak-3E subtype

• Weak-3E is usually externally calm. They do not draw attention to themselves and do not seek to entertain others: rather, they want to be entertained with others' vivid impressions.

• Weak-3E is compliant in relationships, has a distaste of quarreling and an avoidance of scandal. They rarely experience violent outbursts of feeling. They are not inclined to resentment or emotional manipulation. So when with others, weak-3E comes off as a pleasant, courteous person who is not particularly talkative.

• This seeming lack of violent emotions and internal conflict makes weak-3E look like 4E. But weak-3E is still distinguished by a certain romantic worldview and nervous shyness (both uncharacteristic of 4E).

• Weak-3E is the subtype with the most natural charm.

4E

• 4E manifest themselves in a very even and disinterested manner. Feelings are not a reason for them to express them, they don't see value in it. If they love, then they don't shout about it. If they suffer, then do so only on the inside.

• 4E find it easier to adjust to the emotional state of the partner than to set the emotional background. They don’t impose their feelings on others and easily take on the emotions of others. Next to high Emotions, they can be very bright; next to 3E they’ll fall silent. If such people are left alone, they may not pay attention to their emotional state at all and solely focus on their tasks.

• 4E are able to smile when necessary, compliment, joke, and even to raise their voice - all this happens "to the task," for a short time, and emotions fade as quickly as they arose. In fact, even while having fun with others, the Fourth Emotion continues to remain unaffected inside. 4E are able to adapt to any mood, to take root in any team. They are “omnivorous'' and emotionally "non-partisan".

• The Fourth Emotion does not use emotions as an instrument of influence. And she is not interested in engaging in emotional dialogue.

• 4E don’t care about the feelings of other people, but don’t consciously hurt them either. They can only touch them with their indifference.

• 4E are impartial critics. Any artist, writer or composer will find a grateful and adequate response in it. Since she does not have her own aesthetic preferences, her criticism is very objective.

• During puberty, 4E can be actively involved in creativity: dancing, poetry, singing. Then it usually goes away, and they become themselves - calm and uninvolved.

• 4E don’t usually create art themselves, but consume art as a media. At the same time, they are interested in everything and have no pronounced artistic preferences. Even if they get involved in artistic creation, they will be able to work in various genres and not have the framework that is characteristic of higher Emotions.

• If 4E choose a creative field as his profession, then they will remain uninterested in the products of their emotional expression, and will be realised in other functions, simply using the Fourth Emotion as a tool.

4E Subtypes

(1) Result-4E subtype

• Result-4E is drawn to external emotional stimuli, longs for vivid experiences, and behaves very expressively when charged by such experiences. By this behavior, they can attract much attention from others.

• This is 1E-ish on the surface, but there are a few differences. Result-4E's emotionality is associated with the presence of certain external factors, for example being surrounded by more emotional people, watching a movie, or listening to music. In their normal state result-4E remains mostly emotionless. Whereas 1E will simply put their feelings out there (or if there is nobody around, still experience them alone).

• Also, result-4E, despite its noisy and conspicuous behavior, is not the soul of the company, but rather an object of influence by others. They take over the moods started by others but do not create the atmosphere in the first place like higher E does.

• Despite all this, result-4E is the most brightly expressed and emotionally self-sufficient subtype.

(2) Passive-4E subtype

• Passive-4E is very interested in the feelings of others. They will listen to someone else's emotional outpourings with pleasure and try to understand their inner world. Typically their emotional stimulus of choice is other people, rather than more inanimate stimuli like games or music.

• This passion for the experiences of others is similar to 2E. But passive-4E does not really try to directly influence the emotional state of others. If they need to win someone over, they will use other means (trying to motivate them to take action, reason logically, or care for their physical state, as appropriate).

• Passive-4E is the 4E subtype that makes for the best psychologist and advisor.

(3) Weak-4E subtype

• Weak-4E is the stereotypical 4E, distinguished by calm and the absence of violent emotional manifestations. Even if everyone else is having fun, weak-4E will only smile slightly. Usually their face expresses nothing at all.

• They are distinguished by composure, prudence, and an exceptionally rational approach to problems, because their mind is not overtaken by feelings. It is not always easy to tell the difference between weak-4E genuine emotionlessness and 3E worried restraint, which can cause mistypes.

• The difference is, 3E is always experiencing something emotional, and this is important: and when these impulses can no longer be suppressed, they are thrown to the outside. 3E accumulates their feelings and shows them in unexpected ways.

• Whereas weak-4E does not have this dynamic. If you ask them what their mood is, or if something has offended them, they will mostly just be confused. Observing a person for a long time, this difference between 3E and weak-4E will inevitably come out.

• Weak-4E is distinguished among the 4E subtypes by its constant equanimity and dispassion.

(4) Introduction

• 4E is a result attitude: it doesn't pay much attention to its own experiences, how they've been formed, what affects them, not characterized by self-examination. They have trouble understanding what impression they make on others also, since they do not much track others' emotions.

• 4E is a passive attitude, focused more on the emotional states of others. They can show and feel emotions that are expected of them, or emotions that are already contained in the situation. When alone, typically they remain calm and do not react strongly to things.

• 4E is a weak attitude, it is susceptible to outside influences. Their mood depends on people around them, people who can give 4E some emotional problems to consider, which both amuses them and elevates their state of mind.

• Different 4Es do not behave in the same way: we therefore discuss the different ways 4E manifests.

Importance of Will

In Psychosophy, Volition (or Will) is the most important part of a person - it’s the core of your personality, your perception of your self and your attitude to other people and circumstances based on that. Depending on its position, this aspect might dictate the confidence and manifestation of your other functions.

1V

The First Will has firm control over its aspects, making all functions appear more like a First and Result-oriented one, and submit to the 1V’s high standards.

[It's also not rare for 1Vs to want to hide their insecurities of their 3rd aspect and work hard towards its' improvement, either hiding the insecurities well or use it in a very rigid and aggressive way.]

1V is described to be very self-confident, perceiving everyone as equal yet below the 1V (monarchic), and prone to forming high standards to the self the 1V perfectly adheres to.

Precisely because of this special attitude towards itself — 1V sets high standards for the subordinate functions, making them correspond to either the 1V’s personal idea of a “royal” or "respectable/worthy" behavior, or to behavior that is seen as “royal” by societal standards.

• “The premonition of belonging to the higher world not only subordinates the entire personality of the 1st Will without a trace, but literally warps, abuses it. The life of the “tsar” is initially tragic, because feeling like an “alpha”-chicken, 1V forces itself to behave in accordance with its’ IDEAS about the behavior of the “alpha”, sometimes contrary to 1V’s own inner inclinations and needs. The trouble is that the 1st Will allows the functions located below to be realized only in “royal”, hierarchically elevated forms, whereas, say, the 2nd function is by nature a consistent democrat and, by its propensity for process and richness of expression, is completely alien to any aristocratic attempts."
• “Akhmatova (VELF) was not just an “akyn” of 2nd Emotion, but according to the 1V, a “royal akyn”, for whom not everything is permitted in poetry, but only that which does not drop dignity, does not hurt the author’s pride and generally goes back to the hierarchical elevated system of themes and images, placing the poet in an exceptional position above the crowd."

Even the 2nd function, that is supposed to be flexible and oriented to other people, can be forced to look as a Result-oriented function by 1V.

• “The Result-oriented 1V seems to cancel the orientation for Process of the 2nd and 3rd functions, and the whole personality of the "king" in the image of the 1st Function becomes Result-oriented. However, this is just an outward appearance: the “king” does not actually cancel, but drives his orientation to process inside."

Despite that, the 2nd function still might want to engage in Process later, ignoring the previously set "high standards" and flexibly engaging in the aspect.

• “One woman who had been sleeping in the same room with Akhmatova for some time said that “the first nights she could not fall asleep because Anna Andreevna was muttering or singing all the time in her sleep. The words could not be distinguished—only the rhythm, quite definite and insistent: “It seemed like she was buzzing like a beehive.” Amazing evidence, isn't it?

• Abused by Akhmatova's 1st Will during the waking period, the 2nd Emotion still breaks through into the period of unconsciousness and does the “akynical” work of poetic design of everything experienced during the day, without dividing into worthy and unworthy, low and high.
• Buzzing at night like a beehive Akhmatova — is an ideal image for the embodiment of the idea of the indestructibility of the ionic process in a person, no matter how it is trampled by the excessive 1st Will."

The 1V forces even the Superprocess-oriented 3rd function to make faces and double-deal, making its action dependent on the personal principles.

• About Leo Tolstoy, who had the 3rd Physics, i.e. Physics that’s supposed to be painfully caring and compassionate, his own wife wrote bitterly: “If anyone knew how little tender true kindness is in him and how much he did according to principle, and not according to his heart. They would write in his biography that he carried water for a janitor, but no one will ever know that he didn’t give his wife to rest at least once, not caring to give his child water to drink and didn’t sit with the sick for 5 minutes at 32 years old."

Even the Fourth function, which, as it was said, a person usually willingly lets go and entrusts to others, the 1st Will lets go and entrusts only to the extent of its interest in that.

• “The "Tsar" is an amazing creature, he never relaxes. His self-control is absolute. Like a knight, clad in the armor of his iron will, the "tsar" passes through life, alien to passions, temptations, weaknesses, attachments. Even the Fourth function, which, as it was said, a person usually willingly lets go and entrusts to others, the 1st Will lets go and entrusts only to the extent of its interest in that. The degree of self-control of the "tsar" can be judged at least by the example of Napoleon, who, in the midst of the battle of Wagram, fell asleep, slept for ten minutes under the roar of the cannonade, and then, as if nothing had happened, again took command of the troops."

2V

Among all V positions, 2V has the most balanced perception of the self and fearlessness before life, being both confident in the self and accepting of others. Because of it, 2V might make their other functions appear more like a flexible Second and Process-oriented, making 2V's interactions with other people more comfortable to others.

“The basis of the human psyche - Will - occupies the second line in its order of functions, and thus provides the owner of the 2V with spiritual comfort unknown to others.

The strength and flexibility of the 2V gives the individual a rare wholeness and fearlessness before life."

“Even the vulnerability of the 3rd Function, which the 2nd Will, although unable to cancel, still worries the “nobleman" (2V) less than others, and the picture of pathology of the 3rd function is usually thoroughly blurred."

• “The Second function, as it was said, is the best side of a person, and if the Will is at the 2nd position, then the worst features of the First function are not canceled, but significantly smoothed out, leveled."

“In addition, the fearlessness generated by the strength and flexibility of the 2V allows it to boldly take the risk of consistently closing the ulcer of the 3rd function and, despite blows, mistakes, falls, achieve its complete healing.

Thanks to this, sometimes an ideal state for a person living in the sublunar world is achieved - a state of complete inner harmony."

3V

An aspect of Will being in a vulnerable position makes a person highly insecure in themselves, and makes up for several scenarios (that I'm not sure if cancel each other or not):

1: 3V is highly insecure in every position, so almost every function appears as a 3rd.

2: 3V focuses too much only on their overconfident and overabundant (1st) function, overexaggerating it, and ignoring other aspects entirely.

The person is highly insecure in every position, so almost every function appears as a 3rd.

• “But since all functions of 3V are vulnerable, 3V has to cover itself entirely, with all the fans from the existing “fig leaves”: either being a fool (3V), now being prude (3F), now using irony (3E), now falling into the deepest skepticism (3L)."

Due to low self-esteem and deep insecurities, the person focuses too much only on their overconfident and overabundant (1st) function, overexaggerating it, and ignoring other aspects entirely.

• “One of the typical examples of the state of mind of the 3V is that, feeling how the Will bends and cracks under the weight of other functions, it tries to transfer the center of gravity of the personality to the overabundant 1st function.

It turns out to be something similar to a person who, instead of walking on a rope bridge (out of four functions), prefers to walk on one rope (on the 1st function), considering that one rope, but reliable, is better than four, especially if you make this one rope thicker."

In comparison to 1V, 3V can't hold itself to high standards and go against temptations like 1V does with ease, no matter how much 3V tries.

3Vs are not in control of their urges and easily submit to higher functions, being dependent on the reactions of their higher functions (i.e. 1E would first and foremost be a slave to their emotional reactions, roughly speaking, and likewise with other placements), while 1V is perfectly capable of holding themselves and their subordinate functions.

• “There is another true sign that makes it easy to distinguish the “tsar” (1V) from the “bourgeoisie” (3V) imitating him. The fact is that, as already mentioned, the 1st Will holds all its functions with an iron hand, allowing them to be realized only in royally elevated forms, and does not entrust them to anyone. The same cannot be said about the 3rd Will, which is completely incapable of controlling the rest of the functions.

• The 2nd Emotion chronically drove emperor Nero to the theatre stage, the 2nd Physics forced Peter the Great to stand for hours at the lathe, and neither one nor the other could do anything with their passions for the 2nd function, although they probably guessed that they did not add authority to them.
• The ears of the 1st function uncontrollably crawl out in the behavior of the 3V too. No matter what kind of lordly look Khrushchev would sometimes put, the overabundant 1st Emotion was getting out from all the cracks of his nature. The example of Khrushchev clearly shows that the 3rd Will can't control the 4th Function either. Khrushchev's 4th Logic was constantly captured by various, often delusional ideas, clearly introduced from the outside, which he easily accepted for execution, which, of course, also did little to color his image, which claims to be royalty."

4V

Influence of 4V on the person also varies for several reasons.

1: Most of 4V's functions might not appear as rigid to others.

2: 4V's functions work the way they are supposed to work: 1st function as a 1st, 2nd as a 2nd, etc. - without any additions (2V & 1V) and unnecessary problems (1V & 3V).

3: 4V can be "disguised" as some other type under the influence of parents, spouses or idols, becoming a chameleon, taking other people's values as their own.

Due to 4Vs accepting and chill/unbothered demeanor (that’s similar to 2V), most of their functions might not appear as rigid to others.

• “Outwardly, the 4V is practically no different from the 2V. It has the same naturalness and simplicity of behavior, respectfulness and delicacy of treatment, serenity and openness of its gaze. Indeed, I myself do not presume to distinguish 4V from 2V in a capped acquaintance. However, as already mentioned, for all their essential differences, the 2nd and 4th functions are almost indistinguishable outwardly."

4V has Will (Volition) on the least valued place, making this type unbothered to matters related to Will, i.e. - self-esteem, self-promotion, etc. They also lack any additions (2V & 1V) and unnecessary problems (1V & 3V) that other placements of Will are capable of, so, after finding a stable and secure environment for themselves - their functions can express themselves in free and direct ways - just the way they are supposed to work: 1st function as a 1st, 2nd as a 2nd, etc. You can compare them to a soldier following the given orders.

• As Thomas Mann said: "Voluntary slavery is freedom." This aphorism applies the best only to the 4th Will. Voluntary and sincere slavery gives it the right to free, direct self-expression of the rest, higher functions, which could well be mistaken for a rebellion if it had any consequences."

• “The life of the 4th Will is the life of a chip thrown into the water. The “serf” (4V) is not his own master, their fate is entirely ruled by fate and inertia. Therefore, once, when Molotov's interlocutor stated that he had become a communist as a result of some consistent and conscious choice, Molotov simply replied: “The wind brought me here, so I became a communist. The wind carried, carried, and carries me now. And then I got into exile - now there is nowhere to go." "

• So Rousseau was being passed from hand to hand, constantly mimicking others, until he fell into the steel claws of his mother-in-law, Madame Levasseur. A sweet, simple-minded masochist before marriage, Rousseau under the fifth mother-in-law’s 3V became “3V-like” vindictive, envious, timid, so the post-marital psychological appearance of the philosopher appeared to the world not in his own, but in his mother-in-law's makeup. Although the memory of himself, in his natural form, continued to live in Rousseau, and the following excerpt from the "Confession" shows what a self-aware "Rousseau" looks like in those brief moments when he is not being held by his collar. Rousseau confessed: «...mediocre existence was largely a consequence of my personality -ardent, but weak, more prone to gloom than to enterprise... A personality alien to great virtues and even more alien to great vices, which constantly brought me back to a carefree and peaceful life, for which I felt born, and never allowed me to strive for something great, both in good and evil." Sextas

Sexta 1

Types: EVLF, FLVE, FVLE, ELVF

Generally, this sexta is characterised by open emotional displays and a deeper connection with the darker aspects of life. This is not to say that everyone in this sexta is evil, but most will have a natural gravitation towards exploring or understanding what other people shun away from. A good way of putting it, is that they seem more comfortable with exploring the negative side of humanity through confrontational expressions, trying to make other people come to terms with it. So, their focus on the negative leads to a catharsis through which they develop and understand themselves and the world better, which makes self-development a very important value in this sexta. They will often have powerful emotions and expressions, including a strong interest in intellectual, scientific discussions and overall self improvement. However, this is only coupled with a tendency to rile people up and create tense atmospheres. Generally they feel a strong attachment to basic human needs, and wish for a life of comfort where these needs are taken care of. Quite focused on the immediate terms of survival as well. They may have a tendency to embrace or disregard the physical aspects of life, turning rather greedy or detaching completely from the physical surroundings.

Sexta 2

Types: EFVL, LVFE, LFVE, EVFL

Process aspects: V and F

This sexta seems more focused more on implementations of needs, rather than simply enjoying them. They have an active wish to work towards making their lives comfortable, and while they enjoy of the expressionism of sexta 1, it is the positive and joyful emotions that are being explored. There is an active material focus here, and an enjoyment and active focus on building and acquiring the resources needed for material comfort. This also makes them good at material endeavours such as sport. But at the expense of either turning overly materialistic or being prone to addictions, forming overly strong attachments to physical activities.  This sexta also has a strong knack for intellectual pondering, research and philosophizing. However, their ability to do so is related to their feeling of wellbeing and mental wanderings generally thought out over long periods of time than Sexta 1. It comes with the risk of losing touch with reality, or oppositely become so engaged in the everyday pleasures of life that they lose touch with their more intellectual side.

Sexta 3

Types: VLFE, EFLV, ELFV, VFLE

Process aspects: L and F

Like the second sexta, the third sexta has a love for positive emotions. Likewise, they also like comfort and material benefits. But they will actively try to start defining goals rather than create comfort for the sake of it. Their logic also becomes more productive and perhaps simpler. Work-oriented logic, rather than catering to the abstract ponderings of the former two sextas. For that reason, they seem rather competent at working effectively towards their goals and creating wealth and comfort for themselves, while positively influencing others towards adapting their constructive mentality without letting themselves get held back by smaller obstacles.  On the negative side, their focus can make them somewhat single minded. Their determination may cause them overlook their own mental health, which can lead to unintended sudden expressions of anger. They are also prone to not understanding and therefore looking down on the weaknesses and shortcomings of others, usually in the form of critiquing for a lack of purpose or goal, or a lack of achievement.

Sexta 4

Types: VEFL, LFEV, LEFV, VFEL

Process Aspects: F and E

This sexta is focused on designing the structure of their environment, establishing hierarchies and implementing ideas, while working on themselves as people in constructive ways. Overall, this leads to a focus on perfecting and developing the already existing areas, while still not being the least bit shy of creating new interesting endeavors. This sexta has the same determination as the third, wanting to achieve status, wealth and comfort through the means of hard work, and praises the vices necessary for achieving that. They also have a love for positive emotions, but prefer them in a more subdued and toned down manner.  However, to achieve all this they have an unfortunate tendency to censor, or at least very actively limit the emotional expressions of both themselves and others, desiring an environment free of emotions. They are also prone to some of the weaknesses of the third sexta, such as looking down on the shortcomings of others or turning into workaholics.

Sexta 5

Types: VLEF, FELV, FLEV, VELF

Result Aspects: V and F

Process Aspects: L and E

Unlike the two previous sextas, the fifth sexta is less focused on work towards achievement or improving what is. But instead focuses on enjoying the achieved comforts, turning their minds towards creative endeavors like science, art and self-understanding/development. They will often be attracted to intellectual pursuits and scientific research, developing and furthering understandings within this field. They also seem to have a more materialistic focus, which means that their wish for self-development often translates into wishing to look good in both body (F) and spirit (E & L) and actively work towards doing so. Despite not having the more pure and constructive work-oriented tendencies of sexta 3 and 4, they do share their determination, and are also able to work towards a goal, though it’s usually manifested as extension of an already existing area (Such as becoming a sport star or a lead scientific analyst) rather than creating something independent. The negative of it is, that the people in this sexta may, like those of the fourth, disregard emotional displays and to the best of their abilities try to minimize the overall emotional expressions in themselves and others. They can also be quite arrogant, and critiquing of the weaknesses of others, now related to physical and intellectual shortcomings, rather than ones concentrated on lacking goals and directions. Also, like the first sexta, they can be greedy or completely deny the physical aspects of life.

Sexta 6

Types: FEVL, LVEF, LEVF, FVEL

Result aspect: L and F

Process aspect: V and E

The sixth sexta concentrates on relaxing and falling back on the existing material pleasures. They focus heavily the positive and pleasant aspects of life while actively trying to minimize the negative, partly through their optimistic nature. They enjoy toned down but positive emotional expressions and generally are interested in scientific endeavors, but pursue those mostly for the sake of it rather than with an end product in mind. They tend to have a very moderated approach towards most areas, and are careful to not let their ideas run away with them, and thus are able to achieve a constructive friendly-mannered discussion that doesn’t drag on, becomes hostile or leads nowhere. They have a gravitation towards the beautiful, and seek to create beauty or at least be surrounded with it. This goes for both material and artistic endeavors.  Dealing with the negative aspects or problems with themselves or others is a common problem in this sexta. This suppression can leave the issues as ”ghosts” that come back to haunt them later, or cause difficulties in accepting or overcoming personal weaknesses. They also tend to downplay or avoid emotional displays, and can like other sextas with result oriented Physics be both greedy or avoid the physical aspects of life.

Intertype Relations

INTERTYPE RELATIONSHIPS

Similarly to Socionics, Psychosophy also has a method of classifying and separating the relationships between certain psychotypes solely based on their attitudes and how each psychotype interacts with each other.

There are 4 types of relationships in Psychosophy:

Eros (1-3, 2-4): These people don't understand each other deeply, which can lead to conflicts. Only because of these functions' locations, one person can underestimate the other, the contempt may take place.

Philia (1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4): They have a good understanding of each other, people respect each other towards this function. But there is no complementarity.

Pseudophilia (1-2, 2-3, 3-4): There is no good understanding. People seem to be similar, but the purposes of one person are tools for the other, which makes them different in fact. It can be a source of incomprehension in a range of cases, but not a source of conflicts.

Agape (1-4, 2-3): Strong features of one function complement weaknesses of the other naturally. This is the best kind of connection.

Clubs

Four types, combined by common strong and weak functions form a club . Representatives of one club, as a rule, have common interests, a similar life position and often occupation. In communication, we can subconsciously feel the representative of our club, we are drawn to it. In this case, you should pay particular attention to the fact that the club is not a quadra, and if the values of the club partner’s quadra do not match yours (pseudophilia or half-pseudophilia relations), then with prolonged communication or friendships / love relationships there may be serious misunderstanding, for example, in the case of ELFV and LEVF.

In any case, the club always has a place for joint activities, especially self-expression of strong functions and their useful and adequate criticism of these actions.

EF Club

Strong Emotion and Physics, Weak Will and Logic

Representatives: Pushkin (EFVL), Bukharin (EFLV), Borgia (FELV), Dumas (FEVL)

Motto: "Masters of seduction"

The most lively club. From the outside it sometimes seems that they perceive life as a continuous party without a drop of seriousness and concrete actions. They make excellent social workers, advertising agents - they are good in those areas of activity where practicality and emotionality are needed. Their speech is very lively, they are masters in telling “life stories”, except that they lack sequence and logic. They are also happy to talk about their often very successful personal life. They are highly attractive due to their physical data and ability to monitor their appearance, as well as present themselves in the right light. Strong in body, but not in spirit, EFs do not like to think globally, prefer momentary needs and life today, and logic is usually for practical purposes. For happiness, they usually need comfort, wealth, able to satisfy physical needs, a circle of people for fun and not annoying communication. Subconsciously, they can also reach for “cold thinkers”, though when approaching, they try to liberate them, make them feel simple joys of life. What comes of this depends on the specific types and specific people.

EL Club

Strong Emotion and Logic, Weak Will and Physics

Representatives: Andersen (ELVF), Rousseau (ELVF), Augustine (LEFV), Pascal (LEVF)

Motto: “Strength is in the mind and a warm heart”

The most sociable club. Interesting, creative, original-minded people. Often possess both humanitarian and scientific thinking. Their speech is filled with interesting thoughts and vivid images, so communicating with them is a great pleasure. EL masters of communication themselves, in a calm environment, can perfectly convey their thoughts and feelings, but for success in oratory, they lack charisma and self-confidence. They make good writers, psychologists, and come across in the cultural sphere. Often they are unusual, creative people, but if they write scientific works, it’s not in a dry style, but, if possible, they color their ideas with artistic images and examples that affect the reader through emotions. They are able to predict and plan actions, but it can be difficult for them to achieve a specific practical goal, rather dreamers and romantics. Weak and bodily, and character, in relation to the material world are not confident in their abilities. A partner is favorable for them, ready to share responsibility with them or take it upon themselves, in return they can please him with their extraordinary images and ideas, saturate the desire for communication.

VE Club

Strong Emotion and Will, Weak Physics and Logic

Representatives: Ghazali (EVLF), Pasternak (EVFL), Tolstoy (VEFL), Akhmatova (VELF)

Motto: “I can’t live in peace if my whole soul is on fire”

The most "Spiritual" club. Strong in spirit, preoccupied with the problems of human relations, issues of faith and freedom, social behavior, feelings and desires. True humanities, often creative and original, who do not tolerate cold calculation. They strive to do everything with the soul and for the soul, elevate the spiritual and cultural sphere of being, which is why the best occupation for them is priests, writers, mentors, moralists, and teachers, as well as directors and actors. For the opposite sex, they have a special, not necessarily realized by themselves, internal attractiveness due to their strong emotions and responsibility. REs do not like empty thoughts and dry theories that do not serve people and have no practical application; any science should be vividly illustrated with examples. Also ascetic, they consider it shameful to focus on the physical side of life. The most impractical club, they do not trust their physical skills and often seek others for these matters, although they are able to force themselves to act independently. Romantics and idealists, feelings and the goal itself are much higher than expediency, therefore they are very important, sometimes inadequate. They can be admired by rational and “earthly” people who are able to equip life and engage in everyday issues while renewable energy is occupied with culture, but even they will be hints or directly “guide the true path”. It is important for them to accept their “culture."

VL Club

Strong Logic and Will, Weak Emotion and Physics.

Representatives: Lao Tzu (LVFE), Lenin (VLFE), Socrates (VLEF), Einstein (LVFE)

Motto: “Fight and seek, find and don't give up”

The most thoughtful, research club. Its representatives have high intelligence and a level of awareness of global human problems, they are inclined to oppose them to small practical issues. Able to experience physical and mental deprivation in order to achieve their great goals. Often they are preoccupied with the desire to bless mankind, expand its knowledge of the world. Often they have many new ideas and a desire to find a way to implement them. True, if the implementation requires physical activity, then more trust in experienced practitioners. Weak in body, but strong in spirit. Idealists, thinkers and philosophers aimed at the search for truth. In moments of mobilization, when all attention is directed to the idea and purpose, their state of mind, as a rule, is not noticeable. Weak emotion and physics gives rise to the most “inanimate" club, which hardly attends parties, but in science, as in power, they are very useful. In general, personal sympathies and feelings are secondary to them and can only distort the truth, interfere with actions, although VL understands that emotions, as well as feelings, unfortunately, strongly affect both those around us and themselves. With superficial communication, sometimes the thought “do they have a personal life” may arise? If it is, they will not be distributed to everyone. Subconsciously attracted to cheerful, lively and carefree, immediately trying to test their intelligence and thinking styles, and will be especially happy if they can share their worldview.

FV Club

Strong Will and Physics, Weak Emotion and Logic

Representatives: Goethe (FVLE), Napoleon (VFLE), Twardovsky (VFEL), Chekhov (FVEL)

Motto: "Creators of their fate"

Club of organizational and business leaders. Confident and purposeful practices. When moving towards a goal, they see specific practical methods for its implementation, and generalization, analysis and attitude to action come after. The most powerful people, both in body and in spirit. As a rule, elevate confident and capable people, and not theoreticians flying in the clouds. They sometimes have a distant and somewhat skeptical attitude towards science and culture, although they recognize their great influence on the actions of people, therefore they are quite capable of forcing themselves to do both, if the goal requires it. WF possess penetrative abilities, which allows them to occupy high positions, to provide themselves and their loved ones with their main values - will and comfort. In a situation of direct opposition, they can exert pressure and even use physical force. The representative of the VF-club puts the matter in the first place, and empty talk and rest "for the soul" for later. The sphere of power, control and maintenance of discipline is good for them, they are indispensable wherever strength and perseverance are needed. Caught in power, army, business, sport. They are not the best speakers, they lack vivid images and the ability to express their thoughts in a speech, so they subconsciously reach out for unusual, emotional people, intellectuals, if they do not disappoint them with their inactivity and empty words. Of course, the WF will activate others for real action.

FL Club

Strong Logic and Physics, Weak Emotion and Will.

Representatives: Aristippus (FLVE), Plato (LFVE), Berthier (LFEV), Epicurus (FLEV)

Motto: “Everything real is rational, everything rational is real!"

The most practical club. Good practices with high intelligence for solving specific tasks, survival. Preferred area of activity: scientific and technical. Excellent craftsmen, engineers, skilled workers. Their speech is usually filled with deep, even philosophical, thoughts and concrete material images. They can better deal with the new device than others, find the necessary practical application for it, "each screw has its own place." In addition, they are able to invent their own approaches and solutions, from building a house to calculating the profits of an enterprise. The mind and body for the LF are inextricably linked, therefore they do not equally understand pure pleasures without an awareness of the causes and consequences, just like pure ideological thinking and theories outside practice, are alien to absurd logic. LF usually do not go into direct confrontation, preferring the correct preliminary calculation and favorable conditions to the struggle. The heroism and romance of the struggle are very skeptical, guided by expediency, and not by principles. They tend to explain and justify desires and feelings in terms of specific practical benefits. Culture for the LF club is also something secondary, although its achievements can be used as food for the mind. It is really difficult for them to “open their souls”, they trust already established patterns in matters of conscience and morality, therefore they can be attracted by active, creative and spiritual people, and they try to teach these people “torn off the ground” in a stable and reasonable life.
