Well done to our ‘Stars of the Week’ who received their award for being curious learners.

Mathemagician Morning - Wednesday 26th April 9.00-10.30

Come along to our Mathemagician Morning being held next Wednesday.  This time we will be focussing on division.  Come and find out the methods we use in school, take away some information to help support your child at home and spend some time with your child in class.

The Helping Hands will also be serving free refreshments.  We look forward to seeing you there.

To promote our maths morning, we will be holding a maths hunt across both schools on Monday 24th at 3.20pm.  It is free for all children to take part and all entries will be put into a draw to win a range of maths games.  Children can complete one or both of the trails.  Entry forms and pencils can be collected from classrooms at the Infants or from the main entrance at the Juniors.

JONK - Joy Of Not Knowing

This week we have been thinking about the meaning of being ‘curious’ and how this impacts on our learning.  It has been a pleasure looking through the Easter project work which many children have completed.  If your child has yet to complete the Easter project it’s not too late!

We are asking the children to represent the key aspects of ‘JONK’ by creating animal characters which match with the descriptions.  A JONK wall has been created in all of our schools for the children to display their ideas on.  This week we are looking for an animal which matches curiosity...

I explore

I investigate

I find new things

WHAT AM I?

Can you think of an animal that matches the description below? Show us your answers in the most wonderful way you can think of. A model? A painting? A story? A fact file? A presentation? A poem? A puppet? Celebrate this animal and bring your creation to the Jonk wall.

MJS and Bacton visit Norwich City Football Ground for a Robotics Roadshow

On the last day of term, children from Mundesley Juniors and Bacton Primary visited Norwich City Football Ground to take part in a Robotics Roadshow.  We had a great day making our own robots, learning how to programme them and then using our skills to attempt to complete a range of course.  At the end of the day we had a tour of the football ground.  The children has a great day and were fantastic representatives for our school.
