Spells are Canceling Auto Attack Targeting

A bug that has been around for awhile but has been a hot topic this week thanks to a reddit post by BallAndABicsuit: Certain spells are canceling the current auto attack target forcing Heroes to have to re-engage their intended target.

BallAndABiscuit gives an example of Sonya’s Slam. Slamming a target will cause Sonya to un-target and force a Sonya player to reselect their AA target. This causes a loss of precious seconds while pursuing your target as Sonya will stop chasing after a Slam and start auto-attacking a new random target if there is one. Biscuit continues giving examples of Illidan’s and Artanis as well provides a link to an official forum thread for further discussion.

Heroes of the Storm Championship 2016

We’re going to hold three Global Championships over the course of 2016

In order to earn one of the twelve open spots at each of these events, teams must first brawl their way to the top of their respective regions, which will include

Regional competitions will function independently from one another, with unique formats and structures, so that each region can determine the absolute best teams that they have to offer. Additionally, in order to help feed players and teams into regional competition, we’re going to not only hold open qualifiers, but will also partner up with major tournament organizers to run sanctioned third party tournaments as part of the Global Championship Circuit.

For starters, we’d like to put even stronger support systems in place so that existing teams can continue to thrive, create a more sustainable esports environment where new teams can emerge, as well as provide individual, high-MMR players who have not yet jumped into esports with even more opportunities to show they have what it takes to compete on a global stage.

The competition begins in January, and our first Global Championship kicks off later in the spring, with a prize pool of $500,000 USD. Stay tuned to this site for more details over the coming weeks, and make sure to catch this year’s World Championship Grand Finals LIVE by heading to BlizzCon.com right now!

Hey guys,

I'm about to enter Hero League and have a quick question about something I've been struggling with: when should you be looking to take merc camps? From what I've gathered, it's when the other team is outnumbered, doesn't currently present a big threat to you, and you want to put pressure on them. How accurate is this, and when else should I try to take them? When is it too risky to take them?

Love the show, and keep up the Star Wars references.

Hey Garrett & Kylie-sensei (have had two lessons from the master himself and they were fantastic),

I am an avid listener of most of the top HotS podcasts but ITN was my first. Passionate, educational, humorous and philosophical, it is the podcast I look forward to the most each week. I have also been playing a tonne of QM games with the crowd in the amovetv channel and everyone in there is super chill and friendly.

I have a pretty serious question to ask each of you though: which Hero of the Nexus would you pick to back you up in a bar fight and why?

Keep up the awesome work and tell Kyle my Kael'thas damage is nearing Super Saiyan levels thanks to his coaching.
