Let's learn how to play

Welcome to Densha de GO!!

I'm Futaba, and I'll provide driver support.

We'll do our best to support you, so let's drive together!

Densha de GO! is a game about reaching the goal at exactly the right time.

First, let’s try to stop within 5m of the stop position.

If you operate the train well, you’ll get positive evaluations. Let’s do our best!

Next is safety confirmation before departure.

First, let’s apply the brakes so the train doesn’t move!

For Brakes, pull the stick towards you.

The train has stopped.

Push the stick to the Brakes position.

Next is door-closed confirmation.

Trains cannot depart until all doors are closed.

The door and door-closing light is displayed on the screen. When the door closes, the light turns on.

When the door-closed light is on, confirm by pointing at it. Press the point-confirmation button (default Triangle)

When the door closed light comes on, don’t forget to point and confirm it!

Next is the explanation of the Mission Gauge!

(The Mission Gauge is used in GO! At Home mode)

The Mission Gauge decreases with negative driving evaluations. If it reaches 0, the mission will fail.

It also decreases over time.

For the tutorial, it will not reach 0.

Let’s explain how to drive.

First of all, this is the arrival time. The closer to 0 when you arrive at the station, the higher the evaluation.

The distance to the stop position of the next station is displayed here.

The closer the stop position is to 0, the higher the evaluation.

Tilt the left stick forward to accelerate.

(Tutorial refers to Simple operation type)

Tilt it back to brake

(Tutorial refers to Simple operation type)

Your current level of braking or accelerating is displayed here.

Once you get used to operation, you can also use L1 and L2. Let’s try it!

If you press L1, the input type will switch.

Emergency Brakes are activated with L2.

This time we’re using Simple type, but it’s optional. Pick the operation method that suits you best.

The door-closed light has turned on.

Please tilt the stick to depart.

We’re approaching a change in the speed limit!

Let’s explain speed limits:

Current Speed Limit          Next Speed Limit

The following speed limit is approaching. Your speed needs to be under this limit before you reach it.

(The current limit is displayed to the right of the current speed).

When the notice is displayed, confirm by pointing at it (default: Triangle).

Let’s press the Point/Confirm button!

After confirming, adjust your speed with the left stick.

Let’s drive safely so we don’t exceed the speed limit!

If the speed limit is exceeded, braking will be activated automatically, so be careful.

Let’s return to driving!

A passing train is nearby.

Dim your headlights before you reach it.

Let’s switch to ‘dark’!

Press the ‘dim headlights’ button (default X) to reduce the strength of your lights.

Remember to return to ‘bright’ after the train passes.

If you leave them switched to ‘dim’, you’ll get a negative evaluation.

Let’s continue driving.

Don’t forget to switch your headlamps!

An iron bridge is coming up.

Let’s sound the horn to notify passengers for safety!

The horn will sound when you press the Circle Button (default)

When you sound the horn, the bridge will glow green and heart points will increase.

(Heart points unlock certification tests in Driver’s Way)

There are other places to honk in addition to bridges. When you get used to driving, try various things!

Let’s return to driving.

Remember to be on guard!

The stop position is finally approaching.

Let’s try stopping within 5m or less.

The distance to the stopping position is displayed here.

Trains don’t stop suddenly! Brake early before the stopping point.

Remember to check the arrival time.

Let’s get back to driving.

Good luck!

Thanks for your hard work!

From now on, let’s drive lots and get used to it little by little.

Once you get used to driving, please try the many challenges in the game!

.

If you have any questions, please consult the support screens.
