1. What do you want to communicate? It can be an emotion, a dream, a thought about a social injustice. Pick something you connect with and you have strong feelings about. Make a list below:

2. Now pick two of them and list them below.

3. Start with the one that jumps out at you first.  What do you want to say about the thought in an image?  Is it dark or light?  Is it happy, sad, angry, exciting? What do you see in your mind’s eye? Write a descriptive paragraph below.

4. Using the squares below make a couple thumbnail sketches of what it looks like in your mind’s eye.

5. Now list the images you will need to shoot to complete the composition.  Feel free to refer to the list of objects and scenes.
