Harvesting Tone Wood

In Northern Michigan last week. They had a huge storm with lots of Maple down. We, my father-in-law Carrol Nichols and I, harvested a downed maple, milled it, cut to violin, viola, and neck block chunks. Brought home 2 huge 70 lbs suitcases full of tone wood. In 5+ years we'll work them into instruments. So cool to start with nature's raw material!!!
