The NLTP B Championship boasts two extremely talented squads, with the Apopstles representing Red & the Paramores Blue. There is little doubt that the Paramores come into the game as favourites but anybody expecting a blowout will be mistaken. The Apopstles are a well-oiled unit with loads of chemistry and justly deserving of their place in the finals, having already defeated some great teams on their way here.

Needless to say, the Paramores come into the game red hot. They are winners of 10 straight games, including six in a row in the playoffs. -ballsy- & Ballsagnia continue to lead the offensive charge. The duo combined for 10 caps in the conference finals in a tightly contested match against an excellent Half Stop squad. The duo have been among the most potent offenses all season long and have not cooled down in the slightest these playoffs. They also have Masterball waiting in reserve, a terrific player in his own right. As strong as their offense has been, their defense has been arguably better. They have conceded only 1.67 CA per game, including just 5 against a very skilled Half Stop offense. Supaspike leads the charge on the backend, while a rotating cast of defenders in KIKI, Bilbo Baller, & Seek supporting him. Ballsagnia also has the ability to drop back and play defense, enabling one of their offensive subs to jump up front.

The Apopstles have had a more consistent lineup in these playoffs and it has served them well. Crook & Destar have continued their torrid offensive play, tallying 9 caps last week against an extremely dangerous Whitecaps squad. Meanwhile, Bowlarity has continued his incredible play showing that he may well be the best player at the NLTP ‘B’ level. He had 3 caps & 54 returns in the Red Finals and will be tasked with leading his defense against an even more dangerous offense in the championship. Raptor Jesus’ play meanwhile continues to improve week by week and has developed into an excellent defender.

FINAL ANALYSIS

Both teams are extremely well captained and will come into the game well prepared. The Nevermores are certainly the deeper and arguably more talented team of the two. However, the Apopstles work extremely well together and will give the Nevermores all they can handle. I’m expecting an overtime game and I think the Apopstles experience - having been to overtime twice in these playoffs so far - will give them the slight edge.
