  1. The teacher will place in order containers with 1, 3, 5 connecting cubes. Also one empty container.
  2. Have volunteer shake the containers empty the cubes then count the cubes.
  3. Ask: How many cubes were in the container? How do you know? (Count) How is the container know? (Empty)
