Educators and professionals who need to create presentations can rely on presentation resources to make their job easier and save a lot of time, either for researching purposes but also to get access to thousands of pre-designed templates that can be reused and adapted.
Finding the right source could be stressful, so this document will try to summarize a list of resources that you can consider in order to look for presentation tools and free presentation templates for PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and OpenOffice/LibreOffice.
http://www.free-power-point-templates.com is one of the oldest free resources to get templates for PowerPoint. Most of the templates contains nice graphics and background designs and you won’t need to register in order to access the slides.
http://slidehunter.com is another free resource containing more than 5,000 free PowerPoint templates and diagrams for presentations. It is aimed to be used for business purposes but also for educators and teachers, as there is a variety of abstract backgrounds and slide designs that are intended to be used in education.
PowerPoint is by far the most used tool around the world. It is part of the Microsoft Office suite of programs and the preferred tool for business presentations.
Prezi is having an impressive growth during the last years.
Google Slides also have had a very important growth, especially in the EdTech community.
Canva is a new entry in the presentations market but rapidly it achieved a very good adoption thanks to their trendy designs and easy-to-use tool.
