Advisory for Tuesday, February 21st:


The following students will be making a presentation to the Osceola Rotary Club on Tuesday, Feb 21, They should report to JROTC at 11:15 am. They will return around 1 pm.

ASVAB- As of Tuesday, Feb 21, there is an insufficient number of participants taking the ASVAB. If more students do not sign up, it will be cancelled.

There are approximately 40 boxes of JROTC candy left. The cost is $5 per box. It is located in the JROTC room.

The American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive at Rivercrest HS on Friday, March 10, from 9 am to 2 pm. You must be at least 17 years old, weight a minimum of 110 pounds be in good health and have identification with a picture.  If you are 16 years old, you can give blood with a parental permission slip which can be obtained in JROTC. A sign up list is located in the Rivercrest HS Office.

All club pictures will be taken on Wednesday February 22nd.

Any students interested in competing in the ACTM Regional Math Contest need to see Ms. Poag or Ms. Thomasson by Friday, February 24.

The Anime Club is sponsoring a "Create Your Own Anime Character" Contest. All artwork must be original work AND school appropriate. It can be computer-generated. There is a $1 entry fee and cash prizes for the top 3 contestants.

Student Council will meet on Wednesday, February 22 at 11:20. ALL members should attend.

Senior Ads are for sale until Feb. 28, 2017. No partial payments will be accepted. Pictures should be turned in with ad form along with any message the purchaser would like included. One-eighth page ads are no longer available. All ads can be brought to Room 127 daily from 2:15-3:15 and Mondays from 12:15-3:15.

The JROTC Military Ball will be conducted on April 1. More info to follow.

The ASVAB will be conducted in the JROTC room on Friday, Feb 24,8:15 am-11:30 am. You must be a junior and.or 16 years old to take this test. The score is good for two years but only the last one you take is considered. There is no military obligation for taking the test. Sign up sheets will be posted in JROTC and in the counselor's office. You must sign up on or before Thursday, Feb 23.

Students, if you leave campus without (1) a phone call from your parent to the office and (2) coming to the office yourself and signing out, you will be placed in ISS. A phone call from your parent or guardian after you have left campus will not save you from ISS.                                                                                                                                                       

If you plan on taking your driver’s test you must have a new form filled out by Mrs. Townson for this semester. You must have a 2.0 from last semester and no student debt. You must EMAIL Mrs. Townson a few days before you need the form. This gives her time to get the form ready. DO NOT COME IN ON THURSDAY MORNING NEEDING IT FILLED OUT THAT DAY. You must do it before Thursday.  Do not lose the form. ONLY ONE FORM WILL BE FILLED OUT A SEMESTER.

If you are planning to go to the prom but have debts owed to the library, you must satisfy those debts before purchasing tickets.  Please check with Mrs.Lancaster.

Also if you are planning on going to prom and have cafeteria debt, those must be paid before purchasing a ticket. This also includes student debts. If you have one that you owe you need to see Ms. Townson to take care of that.

Students interested in participating in the RHS Talent Show can pick up registration forms from the library, the counselor's office, or Ms. Thomasson. Forms are due back by Mar 16. The show will be April 26.
