‘Beatty by Laszlo’, Glasgow Evening News, 22 August 1924

Mr. Philip de Laszlo, who is distinguished for his portraits of society women, though his pictures of men also show unsuspected strength, has completed a portrait of Lord Beatty [111868] which is regarded as an exceptionally brilliant piece of brushwork. Mr. de Laszlo has many Royal sitters. It is not long since he had an exhibition in Pall Mall.
