Day 8 - Rebels Give Back

If you checked out today on EdTech Cheer, you will find some suggestions for ways you can implement today’s theme.  These are somewhat vague and left open-ended on purpose - the goal is for you to find ways to fit today’s theme into what you are already doing in your classroom.  I believe that there can be a greater sense of meaningful implementation with this approach and can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Some additional ideas for ways you can implement the daily theme today:

1. Get in contact with a local business or organization.  Find out if they need help with anything, would like your students to create holiday decorations, or have other ways your students can become involved.
2. Plan a surprise for someone in the district as a way to show appreciation for what they do.  Find out special things about them and make it unique!
3. Decorate brown bags for Kids’ Food Basket or volunteer in other ways for them.  More information about volunteering can be found here http://www.kidsfoodbasket.org/volunteer/volunteer.
4. Make decorations for the Wyoming Senior Center.
5. Make cards or special notes for local veterans, police officers, firefighters, or other public service officials.
