First Meeting Excitement

We look forward to seeing everyone at our first PTC Meeting on Tuesday, September 10 @ 3:00PM in the LCE Library and Google Meet. MEETINGS ARE FOR EVERYONE! All parents/guardians and staff members of LCE are encouraged to attend, not just PTC  board members.  Children are welcome to attend the meetings; we suggest parents bring a quiet activity for them to enjoy. Food is not allowed in the Library, so please eat before you enter. Google Meet is another way to attend the meeting if being there in person is not a good option for your family. The Google Meet code is: ozn-uobs-ksf. During this meeting we will have a special election, vote on the proposed budget and potential upcoming events.

Applications for the PTC Board President and Publicity Coordinator close today! The Slate of Candidates is updated as applications come in.  Applications can be found HERE. Deadline to apply is Monday, September 9th at 7:00PM.

Thank you to everyone that took the PTC Funds Survey! This survey helps PTC understand the priorities of families and staff. You can view the results HERE.  PTC used the survey results to create a Proposed Budget that will be voted on during the first meeting. View the proposed budget and meeting agenda ON OUR WEBSITE in the Meeting Minutes & Agendas section. A frequent suggestion was having more field trips and Science Camp. PTC does not have any say in field trips. The best place to bring these suggestions would be a School Site Council (SSC) meeting, where decisions are made on how the school budget is used. The first SSC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th with Dr. D.

Congratulations to our VIP PARKING SPOT Winner Christina Vasquez! This spot is her dedicated spot for the 2024-2025 school year, including all school special events.  We learned a lot from the attempted raffle experience; knowledge that we will use going forward. The main lessons:  for each raffle we must submit for raffle approval 60 days prior to the start of the event and can not sell raffle tickets online. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience this caused. This is the first year PTC has done a raffle and we have learned a lot from this experience. We appreciate your understanding.
