Our April event is a factory tour of Napoleon Products, located at 24 Napoleon Road at the junction of highway 11 and highway 93 just North of Barrie.

At this facility, Napoleon Products manufactures gas fireplaces, furnaces and air conditioners.  Everyone who is participating in the tour will be required to wear safety glasses, which are provided.  In some areas hearing protection is required and tour headsets will be provided.  This allows everyone to hear what is being said and reduces noise levels at the same time.  Closed toe and closed heel footwear must be worn throughout the tour.

The tour is free and starts at 11:00 am.  The size of the group is limited to 24 people for safety reasons.Lunch will take place after the tour at the “Amiche Restaurant” in Craighurst.  This is located at the junction of “Horseshoe Valley Road” (22) and “Penetanguishene Road” (93).

For further details, please contact Lee by email, or call 705-429-5541

Our May event is a tour of the City Of Barrie Greenhouses.  Each year the greenhouses, located at 165 Ferndale Dr. N, start their plants in the early months in preparation for planting in hanging baskets and planters throughout the city.  Due to the vast area involved, the greenhouses have a huge number of various flowers growing and being made ready for display during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.  The city of Barrie has won numerous awards for their displays.

There is no cost for the tour.  Since the tour starts at 11:00 am, we should meet prior to that time and be ready to enjoy the sights. Lunch will be held afterwards at “THE MARKET BUFFETT”, 147 Mapleview Drive West.  However, we are best to enter the parking lot off of Veterans Drive south of Mapleview.
