-of-

The great Albert Hall Pageant in October, to be given at the time of the Imperial Conference, taken from

MRS. ALEC-TWEEDIE’S

Book

HYDE PARK. ITS HISTORY AND ROMANCE.

now a sort of London classic, which will be put into a cheap edition, ready for the Pageant

HEART OF EMPIRE.

Showing how London was born 2000 years ago, with the landing of the Romans, where the Mother of all

Parliaments now stands.

How Great Britain evolved, with pretty dances and scenes in Hyde Park, such as a Maypole dance, Duelling,

processions to Tyburn etc. How the British Empire was finally born. With a great rally at the end, of all the

Colonies and Dominions, with their baskets of produce on their heads, in costume when possible, such as the

Maoris, North American Indians, Africans etc, joining in a final climax. A tableau reaching right up to the organ

at the Albert Hall, to the Mass singing of God Save the King.
