Why is the event called “Harefest”?

The name is derived from the original home of the event: The Wild Hare Saloon!   Harefest 1 through 4 took place in the field next to the Wild Hare.  Of course, the event name is also a natural play on words given the “Hair” nature of many of our acts.

What’s different this year?

Why did you move the event away from the Wild Hare after Harefest 4?

Moving the event to Pat’s Acres Racing Complex allowed us to fulfill our vision of having music, camping, and parking all in one place.  As a bonus, we get a nicely maintained field that is more level and has a lot less dust!  Check out the Pat’s Acres Website to see what sorts of fun things they have going on throughout the year!   www.patsacres.com

How much are tickets and where do I get them?

Tickets available at www.harefest.com 

Two-Day Pass  w/ Overnight Wristband:  $100 + service fee
Two-Day Pass: $75 + service fee
Day 1 Only: $40 + service fee
Day 2 Only: $50 + service fee
Two-Night RV Parking - $70 + service fee  

OFFSITE Overflow RV (at Wild Hare Saloon, Canby) - $25 + service fee

Can I upgrade to a Two Day Pass or Overnight Pass?

There are two types of upgrades you can make:

ADVANCE: You can upgrade tickets in advance (recommend) by contacting Ticketfly:


AT THE FESTIVAL:  An “overnight wristband” can be added to a Two Day pass for $25.  

NOTE:  Single Day passes can’t be upgrade at at the event.  You would have to purchase the additional day at the single day prices.  

What are the box office hours at the event?

9am - 11pm (or open later as needed) each day

I notice there is a few VIP areas on the map.  How do I get VIP access?

VIP tickets and RV spaces are only available through sponsors, event partners, and contests.  They are not available for purchase.  

Is there a risk of the event ‘Selling out’?

Yes.  Capacity is strictly limited to 3,000 attendees per day.  If you want to be guaranteed admission, you will want to buy in advance.  

Can I split a two-day pass between two people (one for each day)?

No.  Two-day pass holders will receive a non-transferable two-day wristband upon entry.

I won tickets from a contest but am unable to attend.  May I give my tickets to someone else?   

No.  Contest tickets are non-transferrable and also can’t be sold.  

Is reserved seating available?

No.  The event is all General Admission with no seating.  However, you may bring chairs and blankets.  (read a little further for more about that….)

Is handicapped seating / parking available?

There is no seating at all, but the concert field is navigable by most wheelchairs and scooters.  Our staff is also happy to help folks who need extra assistance getting settled into a good space.  ADA parking is available at a great location next to the entrance of the concert area!

What is the policy regarding bringing chairs and blankets into the venue?

Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed in designated areas!  Low back chairs preferred.

Can I bring my own food and drink to the concert?

Outside food or drink are NOT permitted in the concert venue.  However,  overnight guests (camping and RV’s) may bring outside food and drink for consumption in their campsite or RV, subject to the overnight policies listed here:  www.harefest.com/overnight.php

EMPTY and TRANSPARENT water/spray bottles ARE PERMITTED!! (see more about free water below)

What types of food will be available for purchase?

There will be a variety of independent food vendors on site, including a tasty breakfast served by Ebner’s on Saturday morning at 8am for overnight attendees. Check out the list at http://www.harefest.com/food.php 

What are the Saturday morning breakfast options?

Ebbers is preparing delicious breakfast items for our overnight attendees!

Breakfast Burrito -Sausage, eggs, potatoes, and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla $7
Breakfast Bowl - Sausage, eggs, potatoes and eggs covered in gravy $6

Breakfast Sandwich - Sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin $5

Pancake Platter - Pancakes, scrambled eggs and a sausage patty $8

Opens at 8am, located at the tent campsite.

What types of drinks will be available for purchase?

There will be a variety of drink options including beer, wine, cider, soft drinks.  (Liquor available in VIP area only).  

Is Marijuana smoking allowed at Harefest?

No.  Even though it's legal in Oregon now, it is strictly prohibited at Harefest per the OLCC.  It is not our decision to make, so please don’t hold it against us!

Will there be free water available at Harefest?

YES.   You may either bring in an EMPTY and TRANSPARENT bottle to refill, or you can use the disposable cups that we provide.

Can I use my 22oz “Harefest Amplifier Mug” that I purchased last year?

Yes... and no. We were just notified (6/28/17) by the OLCC that we can’t pour more than 16oz per drink.  So you can definitely bring the mug and use it (Eco-Friendly!), but unfortunately we are only able to fill to 16oz this year.  

Can I use my credit card to buy food and drink at Harefest?

Credit cards may be used to purchase drink tokens that can be used for all beverages sold through Harefest.  (beer, wine, liquor, cider, and soft drinks)  

All the food vendors are independent, each with their own payment options.  We expect most to be cash only.

Can I use my drink tokens for last year?

YES!  We do honor last year’s drink tokens.

Are there ATM machines at Harefest?


Can we reserve RV Parking spaces next to each other?

Attendees aren't able to reserve specific RV spaces, and therefore we are unable to guarantee two or more spots next to each other.  RV Spaces are allocated upon your arrival.  

Can we have two vehicles in an RV space?

No.  Only one “engine” per RV space.

Can we reserve campsites or RV Parking spaces next to each other?

Attendees aren't able to reserve specific camping spaces.

What time do the RV sites open?

RV Campers will be able to arrive on Thursday (7/13/17)  from 4-9pm to set up camp, and will be able to spend that night on property free of charge (subject to event and property rules).  

For those arriving Friday (7/14/17), the property opens and check in starts at 9am to scan tickets, receive obtain wristbands, and sign waivers. All campers must sign a liability waiver to obtain an overnight wristband.

NOTE FOR THOSE ARRIVING THURSDAY:  Pat’s Acres Racing Complex will be open for business as usual on Thursday.  However, the concert and food areas will not be accessible until gates open on Friday for the festival.  

What time does the Tent Campground open?

Tent campers may set up camp starting at 10am Friday (7/14/16)

What time do we need to vacate the camping areas after the event?

All overnight attendees must vacate the property by 10:00am on Sunday July 16.

How many people can stay in an RV or tent?

As many as can safely fit.  All overnight guests must have two day passes w/ overnight wristband.

Can I park a tent trailer in a “tent” campsite?

No.  Only tents are allowed in the tent campsite.

Can I park my car next to my tent?

No.  Only tents are allowed in the tent campsite.  Cars must be parked in the main lot, but you will be able to pull up to tent campsite to unload gear, and their will be vehicles and staff to help transport your camping supplies to your chosen tent spot.

Can I put up a tent in an RV space?  

No...with one exception.  If the tent is up off the ground (like a ‘tent trailer) then it will can be used in an RV site.

I’m towing a car with my RV.  Can I park both in our RV space?

RV reservations are good for “1 motor”.  Additional motorized vehicles will need to pay $10/parking.   However, if you have a non-motored trailer being pulled by a truck, then a separate parking fee is not required.   In both cases, you may be asked to “decouple” and park your car or towing vehicle in the main lot at the discretion of the parking staff.  

Can  I use a gas grill at the campsite or RV spaces?

No.  No flames of any kind allowed due to fire risk.  Smoking permitted in designated areas only.

Is overnight parking included in the cost of a Tent Camping reservation?

No.  Parking costs $10 per vehicle per night, and carpooling is strongly encouraged!

Can we go in/out of the parking lot without having to pay for parking again?

Overnight attendees may leave and come back to the lot without having to pay again.  However, this is all subject to availability...space is not guaranteed when you leave.  Check with parking attendant for more info about this.  

Why are overnight attendees required to sign a liability waiver?

It’s an insurance and liability issue, and is commonplace at festivals.  You can save time by pre-signing the waiver and bring it to the campsite/RV check in.  Here's the link:


Can I sleep overnight in my car in the main parking lot?

No.  This is not allowed by the property owner.

Can I get a one night camping pass and join a group?

Camping is only available to two-day pass holders.  

Will there be phone charging stations at Harefest?

Yes.  In the merch tent inside the venue.  

Are animals allowed at Harefest?

NO ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE HAREFEST GROUNDS. This includes the music venue, camping, RV Lot, and all other areas.  (However, licensed service animals are permitted with verified credentials/license)         

Am I allowed to leave the event and then come back in the same day?

With the exception of overnight attendees, General Admission re-entry is NOT permitted for reasons of safety and liability.  Re-entry is allowed for overnight campers (including overnight RV’s guests) only, and an overnight wristband is required for verification.  

Can we bring bubble wands and squirt guns? 

Bubbles, yes.  Squirt guns, no.

What is your photo policy?

Harefest has the right to unlimited use of ANY photos or videos taken at the event that are made public via social media, professional production or otherwise.  Drones are not allowed.  That said, we encourage everyone to take photos, videos, and share with the  known universe!

Can I ‘cool off’ in the river?

No.  We have strict instructions from Clackamas County that the river is completely off limits.  Anyone who goes in the water will be immediately ejected from the event and campsite w/o refund.  This is a really big deal to the powers that be, and we take it seriously…

I sell stuff.  Can I sell stuff at Harefest?

No.  Unauthorized vending ANYWHERE on the property is strictly prohibited.
