Science Fusion: Signing in at Home!

The following directions will allow you to sign in to your child’s 2nd or 3rd Grade Science Class Virtual Website.  This site includes a digital copy of your child’s Science Workbook, Virtual Lessons, and even Science Readers that are leveled for a positive reading experience.  

        

        You should be able to log in using ANY smart-phone, iPad/Kindle, Laptop, or computer, as long as you have Wi-fi or an internet connection.

Please, follow along carefully, and use only your child’s student ID and password.  The Union School District’s “Acceptable Use Policy” applies.

SCIENCE FUSION

1.        Click the Link on the SES website “Elementary Student Links”, or Google or Search - “THINK CENTRAL” or - Enter "www-k6.thinkcentral.com".

2. Click the the top link:

3. It should take you to the “sign in” page:

4. The first window (Country) should already have “United States” filled in, if not, Click in the window and type/press a ‘U’ until you see - “United States” appear in the window.

5. Press the TAB button on your keyboard or click in the next window (State).

Next, press/type ‘P’ and “Pennsylvania” should appear in the box. 

6. Press the TAB button on your keyboard or click in the next window (District).

Next, press/type ‘U’ 3 times and “Union School District, Rimersburg 16248” should appear in the box.  Make sure it is Union School District, Rimersburg

7. Press the ‘TAB’ button on your keyboard or click in the next window (School).

Next, press/type ‘R’ and Rimersburg Elementary School, Rimersburg 16248

should appear in the box.  

DO NOT Choose Sligo Elementary!!!

Although your child attends Sligo,

the Site License is under Rimersburg.

8. Finally, check the box to “Remember my School” and I recommend saving this page to your “Bookmarks”, then you will not, or should not, have to fill this page out again next time you Log In.  It should be filled out except for Username and Password.

9. Now you can have your child Log In using his/her school ID and password.

User name is their last name and lunch number, no spaces between.

All students should know their User name.  (ex. louder54321 )

Password is your child’s lunch number.  Press “Log in”:

10. You child’s name should be at the Top, Right of the screen, above “Help / Log Out” pictured on the Blue Bar.  ex. Welcome John Smith  Not You?

11. The 3 ‘Books’

  1. Things to Do - Clicking on this ‘Book’ will open assignments and Test/Quizzes that are scheduled for your child.

The Green Checks show an assignment or Test/Quiz that has been completed.  In this case, students have taken this test twice.  You may have to click on - ‘Old Assignments’ to view ALL assignments.  Make sure you are in the correct Grade Level once you click ‘Old Assignments’.  It usually starts with “2nd Grade” in the window,

Video Based Projects - Video Based Projects G3, (SE)

Leveled Readers - HSP Science Leveled Readers G3

You will be using the Electronic Student Edition (eSE) G2 or G3 and

the ScienceFusion Student Access English Grade 2 or 3,

with an occasional Video Based Project Later in the year (Grade 3 Only)

Leveled Readers may be assigned Later, as well.

  1. My Scores - Clicking here will allow you and your child to look at test and quiz scores, review missed questions, and see your child’s progress.  Some of these are graded, some are practice, and others are pre-tests.

Do not get upset if a score is low, check MMS on the District Web Site to

 see your child’s grades that count.

Once a Test/Quiz has been scored, you’ll be able to see the “Score.”  In this case, students have taken this test twice.  The first time, this student actually answered 1 more question correctly.  If the Test is not completed, it will say In Progress or Not Started.

If you have any problems, close out the last action and try opening it again.
