Notes

Variations on brew day.

+2oz Munich, -2oz Carafoam, to use up the last of the Munich.

Mash temp was pretty good at start (150F) but dropped a lot. Temps 138-143 at 45minutes. Cooked up approx 1.5 gallons boiling water, added to get temp to 156 for final 20 minutes of a ~90 minute mash. Not the single-infusion as planned.

LOTS of trub. Clogged the tap siphon! Had to siphon out manually, lost ~0.85 gallons very thick trub.

Contributors: grain bed not set properly?

Ended up with less volume than desired (~4.75gallons) but higher gravity (1.053). Added .5gallons fresh (tap) water, put on target for volume and gravity.
