Parents,

We would like for you to listen to your child read these lists of words and phrases or sentences nightly to help them become more fluent (faster) readers.  Reading these words and practicing these skills are things that you can do at home to help your child become the best reader they can be.  In order to track progress, we ask that you listen to these read NIGHTLY and TIME (how long it takes your child to read from start to finish) to see how much faster they become every night.  Please record your child’s time, sign the paper nightly and return it to school on Friday so your child may be rewarded for his/her hard work.

We will put one of these lists on the back of the newsletter EVERY WEEK.  Please be looking for it.
