The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:
BY THE NUMBERS
7,039,462 via roughly 107,520 boxes.
SAFETY/SECURITY
While the aid distribution was conducted safely and without incident, we understand that a number of civilians were injured after moving beyond the designated safe corridor and into a closed military zone. This was an area well beyond our secure distribution site. We recognize the tragic nature of the situation and remain committed to ensuring the safety of all civilians during humanitarian operations at all of our sites.

STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE
June 2, 2025
“As we enter the second week of our delivery operations, we are focusing on ways to continue to drive efficiencies and increase our capacity while prioritizing the security and safety of our aid workers and civilians. We are extremely mindful that we are still operating in an active warzone.
“We are prepared to open up additional distribution sites to aid more people if and when granted access including central and northern Gaza. Providing increased accessibility for Palestinians to our food will be vital to reaching more in need.
“We continue to call on humanitarian actors working in Gaza to work with us to ensure aid is delivered, reaches the right beneficiaries, and is not diverted or delayed. Work with us and we will get your aid delivered to those who are depending on it.”
UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS
INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: We continue to ask the news media to use caution in relying on unverified and unsubstantiated sources. We continue to see fabricated and exaggerated narratives in media coverage.
One example, BBC posted a story today describing how they verified a graphic video claiming to be linked to our aid distribution site was in fact incorrect. It was posted with a caption by an Al Jazeera journalist stating: "New footage reveals the horrific massacre committed by Israeli forces near a US aid distribution site in southern Gaza." However, BBC was able to “geolocate the clip to a spot in Khan Younis about 4.5km (2.8 miles) from the nearest aid distribution point.”
As a reminder, we don’t control the area outside of our distribution sites and surrounding vicinity and we have no knowledge regarding IDF activities beyond our perimeter, which is still an active war zone.
