FYI - EMGO 1055660 Oil Filter

I had been exclusively using Suzuki OEM filters on my Burgman 650 up until recently when I replaced it with an

EMGO 1055660 Oil Filter.

The reason for the switch was due to the ridiculous price increases on the OEM filters which used to cost about $8-9.00.  I kind of draw the line at $15.00 for an oil filter, it no longer makes sense.

The EMGO filer is as good as the OEM filter and has an MSRP of $5.95.  It can be purchased online for as little as $3.75.  Factor in shipping and handling when you order at least a few, like 5, and you end up with a unit price of around $5.00.

There are other oil filters that fit the Burgman 650, but this is my first aftermarket oil filter and it seems to be working well for those that have tried it.

There is a very nice comprehensive oil filter comparaison put together by Calsci which you can check out here;

Calsci Oil Filter Comparasion

The EMGO fits the 650 like a glove, even the OEM oil filter adapter / wrench that is used to remove / install the filter.

Below are a few pics of the filter:

You can buy the filter from a lot of different online vendors or even from local bike shops, it is distributed by Parts Unlimited which a major parts supplier for most bike shops.

I originally ordered one from my local dealer and paid $5.95 for it.

I then order 5 of them online from the Partzilla for $3.75 each plus $6.95 for s&h which brough the unit price to $5.14.
