CalBike Scholarship Awards

I. BCC Scholarships for the CalBike Summit 2026 conference in Sacramento (pre-conference w/legislators 4/22: Summit, 4/23-24: Voluntary tour of UC Davis area, 4/25

Our goal is to provide partial financial assistance to those who would be prohibited from attending due to the costs of the CalBike Summit 2026 in Sacramento.

We believe that this is a special experience that BCC Active and Public Transportation riders and advocates should have.

II. To be considered, BCC needs:

1. an email to (bikeculvercity@gmail.com by 2/24/2026) explaining why you want to attend the conference and the dates you will attend.

2. Your agreement to do the following:

a.Write a short summary of your experiences and how you think it could influence your advocacy work here in CC,

b. Make a short presentation to the steering committee or at an occasion TBD about your experience. (This could be a brief talk or a more complex presentation like a PowerPoint, etc.) This would be done in 2026.

III. We have up to four awards of $500 to be used for conference expenses (registration, lodging, travel, etc.) If you do win a scholarship and are unable to attend the conference, you will return your award to BCC.

Announcement of BCC awardees will be made by March 5, 2026. (Registration for the CalBike Summit ends on 3/31/26.) Everyone who applies will receive a ‘yes or no’ email.
