Accessing D2L

Requesting your D2L page: Visit the OIT page for instructions on how to request your D2L page: http://oit.colorado.edu/services/teaching-learning-tools/desire2learn-d2l/help/getting-started/official-courses

There is often a 24-48 hour delay in this process.

We will need to do this step each semester.

Logging in to D2L: Go to https://learn.colorado.edu/ and enter your CU IdentiKey login information as if you were logging in to your email.

Dropbox

This is a tool that you can set-up so that your students can submit assignments online. The advantage of using this tool is that we can enable plagiarism detection on our papers. A tutorial is available at: http://www.colorado.edu/oit/node/2336

Gradebook

The D2L Gradebook is a powerful tool, but cumbersome to set-up. A tutorial is here:

http://www.colorado.edu/oit/services/teaching-learning-tools/desire2learn-d2l/help/instructor-support/grades

Other Useful Tools

“Content”: Upload and organize your handouts here. This page explains how.

Copying “Content”: If you have access to a “Community Course” or you need to copy content into your new course from your old course, follow this tutorial:

http://www.colorado.edu/oit/d2l/tutorial/copy-content

“News”: If your homework assignments are more involved (i.e. need links or photos), or you would like to leave an announcement for your students, use the “News” tool: http://www.colorado.edu/oit/node/2232
