GET AWAY.

RUN.

FLEE.

What… WAS that?!

As I try to piece my thoughts back together, I busy myself with picking up garbage.

All these memories. Secret fears.

Napoleon. FlareDoof. MoonFlash. OPony.

The Dancers. The Underground. The Artisan’s Guild.

Pearl. Dawn. Rowan. Cynthia.

Napoleon.

My brother tried to murder me.

My own brother.

...I think I’m gonna need this.

Hmm. An interesting place. A tree growing between two rocks. Surely some artisan placed it there, right?

I briefly considered cutting the tree, but realized I had no way to. I should probably go find something to do that with.

Maybe there’s something in this cave, which doesn’t have any inconvenient trees in front of it.

The rocks seem to be shaped like an ‘X’. I wonder if I’ll find buried treasure here?

Apparently the ghosts of the pirates that buried it don’t like that idea.

Neither does Oak. I couldn’t dig for anything (which may have been because I tried to repurpose my folding bike as a shovel. Hey, the gods stole my Explorer Kit, what else did I have?)

This world seems… different… than my memories. I remember Bug-type Duskull, Rock-type Gastly, Dark-type Cubone, Fire-type Shuppet, and Baltoy of pure Psychic energy. I’m not entirely sure why, though… or what happened to make things this way.

But I’m fairly certain I know where I am now. My head was cut off and I woke up in a place where reality makes no sense and waterfalls break gravity… that would have to be the Distortion World. Weird bushes and everything. Cynthia even followed me there, somehow.

But, then… what of my mission to reverse the Randomization? That part escapes my memory. Did I succeed in travelling back through time? And why would my own brother try to kill me for it?

And who is this ‘Lum’ person he’s serving?

Another important question is where I got my water-running powers. Would that be a result of the Randomization? I’m not some creepy frog-boy underneath my clothes, am I?

This cave also has some poisonous Gulpin in it. I seem to remember them as bug larvae, but not venomous. These ones are different, though.

I tried to distract myself by rearranging my bag. Then I cured Lull’s poisoning.

The Voices seem to always be calling for help for some reason. I’ve begun to call this the Blue Screen of Death. At first, I found it annoying, but now that I realize just how close I came to permadeath the last time...

Well, it’s still annoying, but it’s justifiable.

You know what else is annoying? Rats. Although the rats I remember were Rock-type.

Unfortunately, I can’t ride my bike inside the cave.

What? Why can’t I ride my bike in a cave? Other regions let you ride bikes in caves…

This water is full of Carvanhas, which was a surprise. To my memory, they fly, not swim. Flying fish…

Well, the ladder’s in sight. I guess it’s time to get out of...

...oh no.

Um… hi, bro?
