CERTIFIED EMPLOYEE CONTRACT

STATE OF ARKANSAS, COUNTY OF BENTON PARTIES: The Garfield Scholars’ Academy School District (“District”), Party of the First Part, and  Lucy Minardi (“Employee” Party of the Second Part, agree as follows:

EMPLOYMENT: The District agrees to employ Employee as provided herein:

SERVICE:Employee agrees to perform services, including but not limited to, the specific duties outlined in the job description for Library Teacher_.

TIME:The period of this contract is 78  days, from between __July 1, 2024_and _June 30, 2025_.

COMPENSATION: Total compensation under this contract is $20,000 .

Furthermore, the District is authorized to make legally required deductions from the compensation herein stated.

BOARD POLICIES:The parties shall follow the District’s personnel policies, which are made part of this Contract by reference.

CERTIFICATION:Employee agrees to maintain any required certification and/or licensure for the duration of this Contract and that employee is not under an employment contract with another district.

REFUND OF UNEARNED COMPENSATION: Employee agrees to refund the District any compensation received for which no services were rendered.

TERMINATION:This contract may be terminated by either party pursuant to law and District policy. In the event that termination is recommended by the District, the Employee is entitled to a hearing of the Garfield Education Foundation Board of Directors in accordance with District Policy.

RENEWAL:This contract expires in accordance with the provisions above and is not subject to automatic renewal.

OTHER CONDITIONS: Any subsequent duties as assigned by the contracts shall supersede the provisions of this contract. Employee agrees to perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Schools or designee. Should changes occur in either state or federal law or available funding, this contract will be adjusted.
