How To: The Big Snowflake
1. Gather your supplies: 6 pieces of paper, some stick glue, a stapler and scissors.
2. Start with one piece of paper and place it vertical in front of you. Take one of the bottom corners and fold it up to make a square with a little extra paper at the top. Cut off the remaining paper.
3. With the now square paper, keep it folded in a triangle. Place the folded part at the bottom with the point at the top. Then cut diagonally toward the point 4 times on each side of the triangle, leaving a little space going down the center of the triangle and between each cut. (Be sure to not connect your cuts in the center! Or else you will be cutting through the whole section of paper.)
4. Once you are done cutting you will open up the triangle to make a square with several cuts in it. You will start by taking the two center sections and gluing the points together to create an open area between.
5. Then you will flip the paper over and pull the next two sections together and glue at the points. Continue will all 4 sections until your snowflake as two sections on each side.
6. You are done with one of the six sections on the snowflake! Repeat the above instructions for the next 5 papers.
7. Once you are done with your six papers you will use your stapler to staple the farthest strand of each individual paper section to the one next to it, until the 6 are in a row.
8. Then you will bring the bottom pieces of each paper together and staple them.
9. Finally staple the final sections of the two papers that weren’t stapled when they were in a row and you have your snowflake!
If you’d like to hang it, just hole punch at the top and use some string to hang it.
