General Announcements
Thank you to our festive welcome crusade this morning - today when you hear festive music you have three minutes to move… Be in your seat and ready when the festive music ends… Kind of like musical hallways - but one rule don’t fight over your hallway space.
Just a reminder for those working towards Zero Hero - make sure you are staying focused over the last few days getting work turned in, attending school, and making good choices. It’s going to be a great event with lots of holiday fun.
Please check the Lost and Found if you have missing items. The Lost and Found is located in the glass hallway along with locations on the stage in both gyms. Items will be donated after Holiday break for items not claimed. (Bengtson- Friday, December 19th).
Are you interested in writing? Now is a great time to start working on a story for the 2025-2026 Madison County Young Authors Contest! All students in grades K-8 in the Triad District are eligible to participate. One winner and one runner up from each grade level at the middle school will be invited to represent the Triad School District at the Madison County Young Authors Conference which will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026. If you are interested in participating please stop by the office to pick up your entry form and packet. Completed stories are due to Mrs. Alldredge in the office no later than Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. (Alldredge- Remove 1/14)

Clubs
Clash Royale Club: The Friday meeting for December 19th has been cancelled. If you would like to attend the Monday or Wednesday meeting instead, you may do so.(Walter 12-19)
Session 2 Weightlifting forms for 7th & 8th grade are available on the large gym stage during your PE class time or see Mr. Vickrey. Forms and fees are due by Tuesday, December 16. (Vickrey 12/16)
FCA is hosting a Toys for Tots drive, and they need your help! If you are able, purchase a new, unwrapped toy and place it in the collection boxes located in the lobby and in the cafeteria at TMS. The toys will be given to local families for the holiday season. (last day to announce Dec 12)
Members of Christian Club will meet next Tuesday, December 16th in the library. Please bring your art supplies with you and make sure you have a pick up ride prearranged. (12/16)
Sports:
Congrats to our 8th grade boys basketball team on their 38-35 victory over Alton last night! Almeric Parker led the team with 20 points. (Johnson 12/13)
Bowling tryouts for 7th and 8th graders will be:
Monday January 5th at Hi-Top 3:30pm
Tuesday January 6th at Hi-Top 3:30pm
Please make sure you have an up to date physical on file.
