Gary has shown great growth during the fourth quarter, consistently putting in the effort to do his best. General Announcements (Club updates below)
Good morning TMS!
Well… we made it. Somehow, someway, we survived another year together — and not just any year — the SECOND TO LAST year in this building! Years from now when you walk through the halls of the amazing new TMS, you’ll be able to proudly say, “I survived old TMS.” That alone deserves a trophy, a parade, or at minimum, extra air conditioning.
This year was packed with incredible memories and successes. Our athletic programs absolutely showed out this year, with nearly every sport advancing into postseason play. We even had teams make STATE appearances — which is a huge accomplishment and something our entire school community should be proud of. Crusaders, you represented TMS with pride, heart, and determination.
And speaking of pride… this year we welcomed the one, the only… Victor the Victorious Crusader to our team! Honestly, I’m still not sure who sweated more this year — Victor at assemblies or students taking the pacer test
We also experienced what may go down in history as the BEST Christmas assembly TMS has ever seen. The energy, the laughs, the music, the chaos… it was perfection. Somewhere in the building walls there are still echoes of screaming and applause.
Now let’s talk about one of our greatest accomplishments: we successfully housed the TWO largest classes in the district in one building… and everyone survived. We navigated crowded hallways, overflowing lockers, organized chaos, and packed lunch rooms every single day. Most importantly — Mrs. Stilwell and the lunch room supervisors didn’t quit — and honestly, that may be the greatest victory of them all.
One thing I hope every student remembers about this year is how much your teachers cared about you. Month after month they welcomed you with special mornings, fun surprises, decorations, music, smiles, and positive energy. Years from now, when you look back on middle school, I truly hope you say:
“WOW… I had some really amazing people in my life at TMS.”
Because you absolutely do.
To our 8th graders:
Today is your send-off. High school is a brand-new beginning, filled with opportunities, challenges, memories, and growth. You are ready for it. Go be amazing Knights. Get involved. Work hard. Be kind. Make good decisions. And most importantly — go do GREAT things. We cannot wait to hear about your future successes because we know they are coming.
This year also brought heartbreak to our TMS family as we lost two incredible staff members — Mr. Beck and Mrs. Murray. If there were ever two people who truly loved students and loved what they did, it was them. Their impact on this building will never be forgotten. And today, I truly believe they are looking down proudly at all of you saying:
“Great job, Crusaders. Have an amazing summer.”
To my 6th and 7th graders:
Next year is going to ROCK. We get one final fabulous year together here at TMS before the big move. We’ll welcome an awesome group of new 5th graders, continue to grow together, make memories, laugh a lot, and have a whole lot of fun along the way. Enjoy every second of your summer and come back ready for an unforgettable 26-27 school year.
And finally, today we celebrate and send off three incredible teachers into the magical land known as retirement — also called “the no work zone.”
Mrs. Monk, Mrs. Beard, and Mrs. Loehr:
Thank you for everything you have given to TMS over the years. This school is a better place because each of you called it home. Your impact on students, staff, and families will last far beyond these hallways. We will miss you tremendously, and we wish you nothing but happiness, relaxation, and success in retirement.
Students and staff — thank you for an unforgettable year.
Once a Crusader… ALWAYS a Crusader.
Let’s have an amazing last day together and an even better summer filled with relaxation, laughter, family, friends, and memories.
Happy Summer, TMS!
