Good morning, Triad Middle School!

Today is the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week, and we want to end the week with a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the incredible staff at Triad Middle School.

From our teachers and paraprofessionals to office staff, custodians, cafeteria workers, counselors, nurses, and administrators—thank you for the care, energy, patience, and dedication you give to students each and every day. TMS is a special place because of the people who make it run.

Crusaders, let’s finish the week strong by showing kindness, gratitude, and appreciation to the staff who help support your success every day.

Attendance:

With two full weeks to go - the quarterly attendance challenge has 6th grade still in the lead with 96.68% attendance for 4th quarter, followed by 8th grade with 95.87% and 7th grade with 95.15%.

Congrats to Mrs. Patel’s class for having 100% attendance two weeks in a row!!! Followed by Team Sievers & Beard - with 99.2 and 98.75% attendance. Please send a student down to get the attendance chains.

Clubs

Student Council: 8th Grade students will vote on their high school candidates on May 13. All winners will be announced at the annual park day. As a reminder, there is no campaigning at the middle school.

Clash Royale Club: There is a meeting after school today. Our last meeting will be on Friday, May 15th.

Crochet Club: 

Christian Club:  Our final meeting will be next Tuesday, May 12th. Please have rides ready at 4:15 or you can ride the late activity bus.

Everything Sports: The following students please see Mr. Keller immediately after announcements: Ben Hagemeir, Steven Long, Owen Wichersham, Landon Woods, Abraham Wood.

Book Club: Please return any borrowed books to Mrs. Anderson.

Chorus: 7th/8th choir students need to bring along their chromebooks and headphones to class this afternoon.

TMS Cheer Tryouts start tonight from 5-8:00 in the small gym. (Alstat 5/11)

Coach Vallino will be here for the Girls Basketball open gym right after school next Monday May 11th till 3:30. (5/11)

Any seventh grader interested in playing football for the middle school next year, there will be an informational meeting with Coach Schafer and Coach Potthast this Friday in the big gym immediately following the announcements (Hunt May 8th)

Please turn in your track uniforms to Coach Johnston! (May 11, 12, 13)

For any 6th and 7th grade boys interested in playing middle school basketball next year, there will be an informational meeting in the cafeteria on Tuesday, May 12.  If you are unable to attend, stop by Coach Keller in 701 for summer schedule and camp information.  (May 12)

Congratulations to our soccer teams on another great week! They earned two big wins over Granite City, with the varsity team winning 3-0 and JV winning 2-1. Varsity goals were scored by Jaxson Tonn and Ben Weiersmueller with two goals, while assists came from Landon Pershbacher, Ben Weiersmueller, and Liam Sulentic.

The teams followed that up with another strong performance against O’Fallon Carriel. Varsity won 8-0 and JV won 1-0. Varsity goal scorers included Ben Weiersmueller with four goals, Cooper Allison with two, and one each from Liam Hancock and Jackson Tonn. Assists were recorded by Cooper Allison, Jackson Tonn, Liam Sulentic, and Maci Meier. Tristan Ernst scored the lone goal for the JV team. Great job to both teams this week and good luck in the upcoming games against Mascoutah for a chance to win conference! (Foreman May 8th)

There will be an informational cross country meeting with Coach Strole in the large gym on Wednesday, May 13.  This is for all sixth and seventh graders interested in running  cross-country next year. (Hunt 5/13)
