Good morning, Triad Middle School!

Crusader of Character:

Congratulations to our Crusader of Character for the day: Reese Culpepper in 7th grade

The Crusader of Character was nominated by: Mrs. Pettus

Reese is a little ray of sunshine in homeroom. She comes in each day with a smile that is infectious. Reese is always getting caught doing the right thing and encouraging others to follow her lead. Thanks for being a Crusader of Character everyday, Reese!

Attendance:

Shout-out to 7th and 8th grade who raised their quarterly attendance last week - great job, 6th grade is still in the lead but it is close.

6th grade - 96.66

7th grade - 95.27

8th grade - 95.92

Congrats to Mrs. Merchant’s class for having 100% attendance!!! Followed by Mrs. Knolhoff and Mrs Greer - with 99.58 and 99.57% attendance. Please send a student down to get the attendance chains. We had great attendance last week. The following classes were at 98% or above - Hargett, Anderson, Ellis, Munie, Quirk-Nance, Ruch, Wise, Frey, Jackson, Woolverton.

Clubs

Student Council: 8th Grade students will vote on their high school candidates on May 13. All winners will be announced at the annual park day. As a reminder, there is no campaigning at the middle school.

Christian Club:  Today’s meeting has been postponed and moved to Thursday. This will be our final meeting. Please have rides ready at 4:15 or you can ride the late activity bus.

For any 6th and 7th grade boys interested in playing middle school basketball next year, there will be an informational meeting in the cafeteria today following the announcements.  If you are unable to attend, stop by Coach Keller in 701 for summer schedule and camp information.  (May 12)

There will be an informational cross country meeting with Coach Strole in the large gym on Wednesday, May 13.  This is for all sixth and seventh graders interested in running  cross-country next year. (Hunt 5/13)

Congratulations to the Triad Middle School soccer teams on great wins over Mascoutah yesterday! JV won 1-0 and Varsity won 5-1. With the victory, the Varsity team finished the season undefeated and are Conference Champions!

Varsity goal scorers were Jackson Tonn with 2 goals, Ben Weiersmueller with 2 goals, and Cooper Allison with 1 goal. Assists were recorded by Liam Sulentic and Liam Hancock.
