Dear Mr de László,

I thank you once more for the beautiful colour-engraving which you have been so kind as to send me, and also for the cordial words written on it by yourself-

I am extremely pleased to have this engraving, not only for the real art satisfaction it gives me, but also as

it will be to me and mine a precious “Souvenir” of the great artist whose work we so much and justly admire, and who prooved [sic] to be as kind as highly talented.

Editorial Note:

The sender of this letter is possibly the Belgian artist, Jean Guillaume Rosier (1858-1931), who exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions of 1915, 1917, 1919 and 1928. Rosier was part of the League of Belgian Artists.
