HELPFUL MEET APPLICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY
Meet Mobile
Meet Mobile is a third party app that many of our meet hosts use to share meet information including heat sheets and results in a more efficient manner. As with many web-based applications, there are limitations that users should be aware of. Information is transferred electronically and automatically from the scoring table into the app. Results times are always “unofficial” as the scoring table continues to process the results. Official results will be posted to the USA Swimming database and the Maverick website at the conclusion of the meet weekend.
Once an event has been completed, the meet officials working the administrative (scoring) table then work to complete the processing of results: DQs, soft touches (when the board doesn’t register the correct time), heat/lane changes, etc. When they complete this process and if everything is running smoothly at the scoring table, the “completed” results are published to the Meet Mobile app.
A few cautions & tips:
Even when event results are marked “completed” on Meet Mobile, they might not be accurate. This is extremely important to note at prelims/finals meets. The “official results” are those read by the announcer, posted in the results area, and held at the scratch table. If your swimmer is uncertain, they should check with their coach.
From time to time, errors are made on final, published times. If you feel an error was made on your swimmer’s final time, please speak with a coach and let them approach the Admin table to find out if a mistake was made. In all situations, parents may not speak directly to deck officials, but must work through our coaching staff.
The USA Swimming database is the ultimate destination of a swimmer’s results. You can access this via USASwimming.org or the USA Swimming app.
