Native American/Mesoamerican Project

Now that you have learned a little bit about an indigenous group of North Americans and a Mesoamerican group.

You will be researching one of these groups using materials such as books and the internet to learn more about it.

You will present your information by either creating a poster board with the information you gather, or by creating a digital form of a presentation.

You will need to include information about the following questions from each of these categories:

What part of North America/ Mesoamerica was your tribe found?

What are the characteristics of this region, for example are there mountains, woods, oceans, deserts?

What is the climate like-hot, dry, cold, wet?

What types of homes did the members of your tribe live in?

What materials were the homes made from?

Were these temporary or permanent homes?

Did their dwellings depend on the season? If so, how?

What types of clothing did the women of this indigenous group of people wear?

If men wore something different, what did they wear?

Was there different clothing depending on the season?

Did they have clothes for special occasions or ceremonies? What were those like?

Please provide examples of the types of foods your group ate.

How did they get their food? Hunting, gathering, were they farmers?

How did their food differ depending on the season?
