hello! this is a massive doc of all the marauders fics i’ve read, as well as all the marauders fics i’ve got on my tbr/plan on reading at some point! i thought this would be handy for anyone whose brain is an unorganized mess (like mine) and could do with a space where they can dump all marauders fics in one place. i plan on updating this as much as possible - i haven’t read a whole lot of fics, but i’ve got lots of recommendations which i think could be helpful for others in the fandom.
i’m going to organize all the fics based on ships (wolfstar, jegulus, jily, dorlene, etc) - and write a brief little synopsis of the fic and any thoughts that you might want! i still have A LOT more fics to add and get through, but i will be updating this as regularly as possible! enjoy this masterdoc! also follow me on tumblr (labyrinthhofmymind) if ya want, i’m very active on there :)

All the Young Dudes by MsKingBean89 - a staple in the marauders fandom, VERY long, but so very worth it, it’s so painful but so beautiful, grant chapman (OC) my beloved forever and always, short chapters but there’s lots of them, remus is brought up in a boys home, very angsty and rough around the edges, canon compliant so it’s very sad, but has a somewhat happy ending, background jily, background marlene and yaz (OC) - COMPLETED
All the Young Dudes (Sirius’ Perspective) by Rollercoasterwords - atyd but literally from sirius’ perspective, arguably five times sadder than remus’ POV, spans for a longer amount of time, shows their life together after sirius escapes from Azkaban, again short chapters but very long, ends on a happy note like atyd but is still very sad, background jily, background marlene and yaz (OC) - COMPLETED
Presque Vu by Bizzarestars - a canon compliant marauders era fic that spans all of sirius’ life, pretty long but genuinely one of the best things i’ve ever read, explores sirius’ gender identity/gender dysphoria in such a beautiful way, possibly my fav depiction of canon wolfstar, ESPECIALLY older wolfstar, will make you cry but it’s so worth it, does not have a happy ending but imo has a really satisfying and comforting ending imo, background jily, background dorlene, minor background emmary - COMPLETED
All For Nothing At All by Lesbiansforsiriusblack - a very much not happy one shot of remus dealing with sirius’ death, short and NOT sweet, obviously canon compliant, and canonical character death, super depressing, background of the fic is based on atyd, mentions the letter sent to grant afterwards, mentions harry - COMPLETED

Candy Crush by Bizzarestars - a mini wolfstar fic, set in the wizarding universe but is not canon compliant, basically they’re all cute and in love and it’s just pure fluff with like the tiniest dabble of angst, but literally nothing it’s so joyous and makes me so happy, sirius and remus live together after Hogwarts, background jegulily - COMPLETED

The Cadence of Part Time Poets by Motswolo - possibly the best fic i’ve ever read, muggle band AU but focuses a lot on their time at boarding school, VERY VERY long, over 900k words, slowburn wolfstar but it’s so worth it, explores remus’ mental health, very funny and has the best comedic timing, it’s actually so genius and perfect, has some of the best OC characters, background jily, hints of bisexual james, regulus is a loser but he’s the loml, hints of unrequited jegulus, background dorlene - COMPLETED
Dress Up in You by MsKingBean89 - a muggle AU where the marauders are in a band, Sirius attends a charity rock gig and meets remus who is a bassist for another band, ngl i read this a really long time and don’t remember much, but it’s MsKingBean89 so it definitely slays, not too long, has a happy ending, has background ships i just don’t remember what they are - COMPLETED
All My Cards Are Here by Haey1 - another muggle AU where the marauders are in a band, they kick snape out and recruit remus to be their bassist, remus and sirius must navigate their new found friendship under the public eye, fame AU, friends to lovers, secret relationship, some angst but has happy ending, not super long, again read this a long time ago but i remember it was good lol, has background ships i’m just not sure who they are - COMPLETED
