A Prayer Reminder Daily at 4:44 PM

A few years ago i personally decided — and invited others to join me — in setting a prayer reminder to sound daily at 4:44 PM. To this day, my iPhone alarm still chimes every afternoon to say, “It’s time to pray.”

Specifically, 4:44 PM, reminds me of three basic and specific ways to pray:

* Pray 4 lost souls.

* 4 Eternity.

* Be 4 it’s too late.

Friends, i never want to lose my sense of urgency when it comes to lost souls. This simplistic, daily, phone-alarm reminder is one simple, yet effective way to keep me alert to the mission of souls and attuned to the Master of souls. After all, Jesus Himself said at the house of the once-lost-but-now-found tax collector: “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” [Luke 19:10]

If we remember to pray for lost souls, i believe we will continue to reach lost souls. Praying for lost souls is equal to caring for lost souls.

In this holy endeavor, let us never forget the comforting words our Lord left for His disciples: “Surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” [Matthew 28:20b] Our Lord has not abandoned us with the urgent mission of reaching lost souls, to the contrary, He is always in attendance when we pray daily for lost souls and surely He is with us when we go all out for lost souls.

Let us pray together now: “Lord, as our inheritance give us the lost. In Your soul-saving Name, we ask for favor. Amen.”  

Simply trust.
