Orme Studio
St Petersburgh Mews
Bayswater
Dec 15th 1912
Dear Mr de László
I am sending the two copies[1] to Oxford tomorrow, and I am going out of town till Tuesday evening. I shall be leaving London again on Friday morning early for Fowey in Cornwall where I propose staying until I have finished the miniature for

Lady Valentia.[2]
I have been unfortunate in missing you each time I have called at your studio. My address in Cornwall will be St Catherine’s House Fowey. Should you have any more copying to be done and would write to me at that address I would take another studio in London. If you would prefer to see me before I leave town I could call on Wednesday

or Thursday afternoon if you would let me know which suits you best.
Yours truly
Frederick Cullen
[1] It is unclear which two copy portraits Cullen is referring to; [7396], which is Cullen’s copy after [7395], is likely one of them.
[2] Laura Sarah Annesley, Viscountess of Valentia, née Webb; other married name Lady Peyton (1850-1933). Cullen is presumably referring to the miniature after [7395], see [7395] for further details.
