Zion’s 3rd & 4th Grade Page
Week of November 13
This past week we continued investigating food chains and food webs. We studied about Jacob and his son Joseph in religion This led us to a great discussion about coveting and jealousy. In Michigan History we are looking at the symbols for our state. Third grade is working on measurement in math, and fourth grade was learning about fractions on number lines. We finished our books for the Writing Fair and enjoyed sharing them with each other. On Friday, we spent most of the morning studying Veteran’s Day and its history. Students also wrote thank you letters that will be sent to veterans.
Math Test on Friday, November 17
State symbols quiz on Tuesday, November 14 (see the list below)
Students will continue bringing their assignment books home each day to share with you what we learned that day. Please take a few minutes each day to go over it with them. Feel free to jot any prayer requests that your family may have in it as well.
Keep reading at home and record your time in your Book It log! They are due back December 1.
