· Goals for upcoming year 2024

No updates. Hannah and Tristan are still working to get this publicized on the website.
· Goal 2: Develop a committee of at-risk/not connected youth to drive community involvement and utilize positive leadership skills. (#30)
Tristan shared that this newly formed Youth Advisory Initiative Leadership Board has held four meetings and they’ve developed bylaws for this subgroup to review and provide feedback by August 16. The committee has developed an application/nomination form for the Youth Advisory Board. They are seeking nominations of high school age students and young adults. Tristan also said they are currently brainstorming funding streams to support this Youth Advisory Board so please reach out with any ideas to explore.
· Goal 3: Identify local respite options for families experiencing youth crisis. (#34, 28, & 33)

o Families Together program thru Christian Heritage to help meet Goal 3
The group decided to continue to pursue this program to bring it in the community. It was asked if it could be tied in with the Crisis Pregnancy Center and their supporters. Jordyn also said she knows that Christian Heritage has homes in Seward connected to the Families Together program and she wondered if they would consider expanding to York since it’s not that much farther. Hannah will follow up with CH and the Crisis Pregnancy Center. With this type of program being Christian-based we don’t feel it would be a good fit to bring directly under YC3’s umbrella as YC3 needs to continue as neutral-based and inclusive for all.

· Other Discussion Items –
Laura Cole shared that she is starting a “clothing closet” for students who are in need. She has a lot of donations but needs a space to store it. The group gave several suggestions for her to look into.
Emily Perry shared about a support group she and her mother in law are starting in the York area. The group is NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness. See attached flyer for details about the group. There is an open house on August 7 at 7:00pm at Kilgore Memorial Library for anyone interested and curious about it to attend (the date in the flyer is wrong).
Jordyn Sterns brought up the need for foster homes in the York area. She also asked how she can get into the schools to talk with staff about how to report abuse and neglect and the need to do this. Suggestions were shared and Laura Cole said she will talk with YPS administrations to try to get her in front of staff at the beginning of the school year.
