My dear Friend,
I have just received your letter of March 28th, and am so glad you were both at the patriotic concert, and enjoyed it. It must have been very inspiring. I wish I could have heard it
Meanwhile you will have received my letter,[1] and I look forward to getting your reply.
I was pleased to read your little interview with Kenneth Clark,[2] in whom you have met a very intelligent and enlightened young man – so young, and already Director of the National Gallery.
Would you kindly send my brother,[3] who is lying very ill, a copy of the illustrated number in which the pictures of the King and Queen appeared. His address is V., Árpád-utca 12. He would much enjoy it. I also will be glad if you will send me a number in which the Queen’s parents appear.
[Page 2]
I enclose herewith postcards of the King’s and Queen’s portraits. Although you know the portraits so well, it will interest you to see what splendid postcards are reproduced here.
With our united greetings,
Ever yours,
