Alphia Jean “Jeannie” Shipley

October 12, 1967 - May 7, 2017


   The family of Alphia Jean “Jeannie” Shipley mourns her passing. Born October 12, 1967 to Melville Ross Shipley and Constance Jean (Mustin) Shipley in Bloomington, Indiana.

Entered Eternal Rest May 7, 2017 at her Springville residence.

Her memory will be cherished by beloved long-time partner, Kenneth Garmany; daughters, Meranda Shipley and Katie Butler Shipley; brothers, Hobart and his wife Vera Shipley, Bo and his wife Janelle Shipley, Marty and his wife Theresea Shipley and Mark Shipley; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents.

   A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jeannie will be 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 13, 2017 at the Chapel of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 2700 East Rogers Road Bloomington, Indiana.

It's been nearly a year now. I miss you so much. Thank you for introducing me to one out of only two true loves in my lifetime. You were wearing diapers when I first met you in 1968. He feels like yesterday. I love you, and hope to see you again someday.

We are so sorry you lost your mom at such a young age Meranda.   If there is ever anything you need just call.   I don't care of it is midnight or 3am.  We will be here for you whenever.   We love you and are so glad you are in our lives.   Family needs family.  We need you as much as you need us.   We love you.
