Dear Mr. de Laszlo

Of course, I cannot refuse, but I said many swear-words and the thought of losing your lovely pictures [4536][3544][2023] at the only time of year that I can enjoy them.

We do not return to London till the 30th and I will write to the housekeeper

about the pictures, could the man who removes them, unfix the electric lights, & put up other pictures in their place or shall we get another man to do this? We shall look forward with great pleasure & interest to your Exhibition.[1]

On reading your letter again I am not quite certain whether you wish to have the 3 pictures or only one. We will lend all three with pleasure, indeed you ought to show my daughter’s [4536], it is lovely.[2]
