General Information about August 8, 2020 Virtual Collaboration Day
Throughout the years, we have learned SO much from our math teacher community and as we venture into these “unprecedented times”, it’s even more important to have a collaborative network of teacher friends. As a result, we are looking at a day of virtual learning to help jumpstart the 2020-2021 school year!
Important Understanding: We are trying something NEW to us & everyone because we know we have gained the most over the years from our fellow math teachers to help improve our learning and our teaching. We MISS the ability to connect face to face and we are going to try the best we can to make it meaningful for all. We are aware that there will be missteps and areas for growth and we welcome ideas to help make this as useful for teachers as possible in the midst of our current situation.
Date and Time: August 8th, 2020 - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time via Zoom
Sounds great! Where do I sign up? This is just a brainstorming document to help us figure out what topics people want to discuss. Click this link to sign-up → https://bit.ly/MathTeachCollab
Organizing Ideas: More like an EdCamp where we come up with topics we want to discuss, but there is no formal presenter, but instead it’s an open discussion and sharing of ideas. Sessions would be 45 minutes, with break times between sessions. Informal / attend one or more sessions that interest you!
DIRECTIONS:
Let’s work together to create a list of things you’d like to attend, you’d like to present / facilitate, or things you’d like to hear more about. If you agree with someone else’s idea, add a +1 to the end of their idea. Feel free to add topics or even clarify topics that are already listed! No need to add your name or anything at this point a +1 is perfectly fine!
