ABSENTEE VOTING

  • Request your ballot ASAP at MyVote.wi.gov.
  • Complete and mail by 10/25/24 - after that date, deliver to a drop box, early voting location, or your polling place on November 5th.
  • Be sure to sign it and have a witness sign and write their full address.

  • October 22- Nov 3 at any Madison Public Library, Colleges, and many community locations. Details at CityOfMadison.com/Clerk
  • No voter registration Nov 2-4 but you can early vote Nov 2-3 if you are already registered
  • Take a photo ID

***If you requested an absentee but DID NOT mail it in, you can still vote in person on Election Day at your polling place. Dispose of your absentee at home.

What you need to register:

  • You must have lived at the address where you are registering a minimum of 28 days before Election Day (since 10/8/24). If you moved more recently, you would vote at your old address.
  • Proof of address- full list of examples at the Madison City Clerk website. Common examples include current WI Driver License or ID card, a recent utility bill, bank statement, any government mail, etc.
  • To register online - you must have a WI Driver License/ID and updated address with the DMV. If you don’t have these, you can print your completed registration form online and bring it to a library or early voting location to finish the registration.
