Ironing Out The Wrinklies

Panthers' first league match of 2016, a visit this Tuesday to the impressive facilities at Oakham Rugby Club, got off to a flying start with Pip, Mark and John smashing it in the first game - only to lose their second game by a similar margin. Meanwhile Tony, Nigel and Daniel ground out two narrow wins for 3 - 1 overall

Win Double

Rose & Crown had similar success in their first match in Division 1 with a convincing 3 - 1 home win against the ORFC Flankers [Tue 12 April]

Winners at Whitnash

From the Panthers' contingent marauding south on Sunday for the traditional Spring Triples at the Whitnash Windmill Petanque Club in Warwickshire, Mark and John, with guest player Dag from Northern Region, brought home the bacon [Sun 10 April]

Friendly Rivalry

The Rose & Crown were generous hosts for a practice match last Thursday. The ambience could not have been more convivial but this did not distract the Panthers from asserting their Premier League credentials. In the closest game Tony, Daniel and Nigel snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with a five, punishing the R&C team for a casually thrown a long coche [Thu 7 Apr]

Cashing In

Tim and Daniel claimed 2nd prize in the Lincoln Branley Pétanque Club Open Doubles at The Woodcocks after a nailbiting playoff
