Some Palestinians are looking to evacuate and flee from Rafah into Egypt to escape the bombardments, but due to the border being closed, the only way to get to safety is to go through a broker system and pay upwards to $5,000 - $10,000 per person.
I wanted to share with you a valuable source that I think would be important for you to share within your network. Operation Olive Branch is a volunteer-led, grassroots movement that aims to organize and promote the safety and well-being of Palestinian families in Gaza. They have a Google Spreadsheet with several fundraisers and mutual aids for Palestinians in need of funds to escape from Rafah into Egypt, to rebuild their homes, to obtain vital medical care, food, water, and shelter, and much more. There are over 795 families on the spreadsheet with GoFundMes that people can directly donate to. These people are in dire need of help, and I believe with your reach and platform, this organization can spread to more people and these families can be helped much faster.
Even if someone can only contribute $5, it can go a long way!
