ASSIGNMENT 2

The Ugly Duckling

Watch The Ugly Duckling or listen to someone read the story The Ugly Duckling. The printed copy is included in the e-learning folder.

Complete using pictures, label words, or dictated sentences on the Story Map. (Using a plain piece of paper write the names of the characters, the setting, and the beginning, middle, and end of story)                                             Return Story Map to your teacher.

ASSIGNMENT 2

  • Complete 100s chart Day #3 activity found in e-learning folder and return chart to your teacher.
  • Using a deck of cards, or something similar with individual numbers, pull a card and count objects (pennies, cereal, beads) to match that number.
  • On a blank sheet of paper practice number writing 1-20.
  • Children will record numbers built on a piece of paper.
  • Practice recognizing numbers and counting orally by 10s, 5s, 1s. 2s to 100.

       ASSIGNMENT 3

  • Use letter tiles provided in the e-learning materials  to build each short /o/word. (dog, box, mop, jog, fox, dot)
  • Write each short /o/ word on a piece of paper.
  • Then using these short /o/ words and write a sentence for each word.

Return short /o/ writing paper to your teacher.

(use a plain piece of paper)

        ASSIGNMENT 3

complete all

  • Using # cards build random numbers 1-100 and match the correct number of pennies to that number.
  • With a partner each build a number (using the number cards) and then determine whose number is more/less.
  • Make three numbers and put them in order from least to greatest.  Ex:  13, 24, 57
  • Children will record numbers built on a piece of paper.
