Lucy has sent off a parcel to you as a Christmas present – the items its contains are as follows – four knitted winter waistcoats – and four ties – please take one of each – for yourself – as for the rest, please divide them between Gyula – Dezső and Gábor. Furthermore – I have sent knitted winter jackets for Szerén – Ilonka and Elza – we hope they will serve you well in during the harsh winter weather – –

We are sorry we could not come to Pest this time^[1] – but we are definitely planning to see you for a few days in February – We were hoping to give you this little gift in person –

Karácsonyi ajándékul Lucym egy csomagot indított útnak részedre a melyben – a következő áruk lesznek – négy téli kötött melyény [sic] – és négy nyakkendő – kérlek azokat azokból egyet-egyet a magad részére – a többieket kérlek oszd szét Gyula – Dezső és Gábor között. Továbbá – Szerén – Ilonka s Elza részére küldtem téli kötött jackettet – reméljük hogy jól fognak a rideg téli időkben szolgálni – –

Sajnáljuk hogy ezúttal nem jöhettünk Pestre – de biztosan tervezünk február havában néhány napra benneteket látni – Reméltük hogy ezen kis ajándékot személyesen adhatjuk át –
