The Sno-Daze dance and sno-daze spirit week are right around the corner! Tickets now are $10 for this whole week! They will be sold throughout all three lunches. Next week the ticket prices go up to $15!

The Devin Smith Scholarship “Purple Out” day is Feb 6th. Students are encouraged to wear Purple on this day to remember former Central Student Devin Smith and to apply for the scholarship named for the Central grad. Devin died soon after graduation in a boating accident and several of his classmates created the scholarship in his honor. Applications are available in the CCRC.

Every year Central's Literary Committee puts together the Literary Magazine "Verbal Promiscuity" comprised of student art and writing. Submissions for this years Lit Mag are open! If you are interested in submitting email verbal.promiscuity@gmail.com. Submissions close when January ends so hop to it!

Tomorrow evening in Central’s auditorium Mr. Jacobs’s CIS English class presents their transformative narratives. The event starts at 7 pm and includes some beautiful visual performances centered around the core themes discussed in class throughout the year.

As we all know the Vikings won a big game on Sunday and are now schedule to play in the NFC title game on Sunday. Here is Lily with some student reactions and some Vikings history.

Big congrats to our gnarly Nordic ski team for their hard work last night. The nordic ski team competed in the multi-team metro area invitational event. The girls team took 3rd place with a score of 420, and the boys took 2nd with 445.5 points. Both team were participating in the classic race.

The boys basketball team had a successful evening against Highland last night. CMN reporters Eric and Yasin were there with more on the story.

Yesterday the girls basketball team faced off against rival school Highland Park. The girls triumphed over the rivals 62-23. Great job girls. Central sophomore Liza Karlen is a candidate for Startribune player of the week. You can vote for here at mngirlsbasketballhub.com.
