9th February, 1933.
Dear Friend,
Since my last letter, in which I thanked you for kindly letting me have the photograph after my sketch of you [111896], I have had no news from you. You may remember I asked you to be good enough to let me have the particulars regarding the forthcoming Exhibition in Chicago, as I would like to know if there is any possibility for me to show one or two of my works which I did in America. If such a thing is possible I must have time to make arrangements, and I would therefore be very grateful if you would kindly let me have a reply to this at your earliest convenience.
I am as usual very busy, and our present plans are that we leave on the 22nd for a five-weeks rest in the South of Italy. I am longing to see Rome and the new excavations there. I am occupied with very interesting work, but have done too much lately, and must have absolute rest.
I am sure you too must be very busy, and occupied as usual with various exhibitions.
I hope my letter will find you in the best of health and that I may have the pleasure of hearing from you soon.
My wife joins in our kindest regards and best greeting.
Always sincerely yours,
