Well, it is hard to believe the year is ending and we will be ending with a big bang! We are so excited about the graduation. It will be a night to remember! Don’t forget there is still school after our graduation on Wednesday and Thursday; Thursday will be a full day. We will spend this week reading and finishing up our ABC Dictionary. There will be no reading folders or homework this week.
I want to thank you for a great year! You were so faithful to drive for our field trips and provide whatever we needed for our special projects and class parties. Also, I hope you join me in thanking our room mom (Mrs. Medina) for doing such an awesome job. She was also so faithful to help with reading groups and in the class. I also cannot forget to thank Mrs. Motronchik, Mrs.Petrovskiy, Mrs. Rondon, Mrs. Dominguez, and Mrs. Artishuk who provided extras for our class and parties.. I hope you enjoy the graduation; it is my way of saying thank you to all of you.
I will hand the children a poem wrapped in ribbon during our ceremony and Miss G will give you the real diploma and their class awards after. As the children get their diploma, they will walk off the stage to Miss G. She will seat the children in the back rows. After we close in prayer, then go get your graduate. Feel free to take pictures on the stage. Be sure to bring your cookies before the graduation to either the class or to the reception area. (Vineyard) Be sure to let your family and friends know there will be a reception with refreshments after.
We have started a new tradition this year. Mrs. Dolislager has asked the 1st grade parents to help us with the reception. They will come and decorate the Vineyard and serve the refreshments. Next year she will be sending you a letter to help with the graduation. We are thankful for the parents who volunteered.
Graduation: Please meet me in Room 111 at the preschool. (across the Cornerstone) I will be there at 6:30 p.m. Please do not come any later than 6:45 p.m. I need time to put your child’s cap & gown on. The graduation will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Please dress your children in their Sunday best. No jeans or uniform! Be sure to take your child to the restroom for me. You may use the bathrooms in the gym. After you take pictures, please take your child’s robe off and give it to me or Miss G.. The cap & collar are yours. (The cap will have your child’s name)
: We are planning a Goodbye Ice Cream Sundae Party in the. I will keep any leftover cookies from our reception to serve with the sundaes. We are finishing up our ABC Dictionary & Memory Book and will send it home on Thursday. Just a reminder that Thursday is a full day.
With much love & appreciation,
